Me: “Wait... he said he was going to preserve the original graphics. Why would he paint over them?”
🤯 Oh, clear coat! Wow! That was really wild to watch. Fabulous job as usual! Love the videos.
I loved that part. It is awesome seeing the white go clear!
Ha, I did the same thing.
'I'm going to try and preserve the original graphics he says as he paints over... *flashbacks to the clown bank restoration* oohhhhh this is clearcoat isn't it?'
Adorei. Nunca imaginei essa solução. Especial!!!!
In case anyone isn't picking up on the obvious reason for the clearcoat to be white: If it was a clear powder, you wouldn't be able to determine your coverage very easily. With white, you can be sure you've got the clearcoat everywhere.
The score-counting mechanism is so clever.
I need it explained to me, but I agree it’s very clever.
@@spacewolfcub You can see how it works at the 1:49 mark. There are four holes for the ball to go through, all at different heights. The lowest one moves it one notch (10 points), while the highest moves the wheel four notches (40 points). The big wheel also has a piece of metal sticking out between the 90 and the 0, and that piece rotates the smaller wheel that marks 100 points. And it looks like to reset the points to 0, you just turn the wooden knob on the back enough times.
@@snowcat8971 - Ohhh... It’s all trickery in the interaction between the points you can score and the notches! Vvv clever. Math is only half the cleverness, though. I must stare at mechanism to learn its secrets (thanks for timestamp).
@@spacewolfcub Here some timestamps showing the ball guide part:
7:18 7:20 (The part is upsidedown)
7:30
@@snowcat8971 what stops the wheel from continously spinning?
I love seeing the powdercoat flash over in the oven.
Yes, this is my life, I am watching paint dry...
It’s my favorite part
chuckle....for those of us in lockdown this IS the highlight of our day, watching paint dry...
You're watching paint dry but it's quick
I am slightly obsessed with this paint, tbh.
...with the boredom element removed.
No urge to be famous. No promises of weekly video. No begging for likes. Barely a word. Less that 25videos. Peaceful comment section.
1M subs
Just consistently good content. This is what CZcams was supposed to be.

I like how this guy isn’t like most other fix and repair CZcamsrs who show the results on the thum nail agree
I haven't watched you for so long that your oven has grown into full maturity.
You know very well that I've seen one of these things; in the Capitola Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theater, back then long ago in 1983. But I however still, had the mind of a 10 year old boy.👀🙈🙉🇻🇦🧧👀
The return of the king
Even his editing is tight and precise.
Return of the king, indeed.
Finally he’s back!
My thoughts exactly! Looks like some new equipment too- the other channels have NOTHING on this guy
Dear UM
👍👌👏 Exactly! Well said, Sir!
Best regards, luck and health.
He’s like friggin Santa of repair vids. Everybody loves him, nobody sees him or hears him, tinkers toys, comes around once a month making people happy.
I love it when you use/play with the things after you restore them, it looks so much fun
Love that you kept the original graphics (not that they needed restoring). Another great restoration.
This is a fine example of when toys were at top notch when they were all metal
Until your sibling upsets you and you throw it at them. Metal hurts when you get hit. lol
Except for the lead paint
@@LordFyrestone yeah, whenever they tried to get rid of metal toys for safety issues but forgot 100 different things in your house are metal like pots and pans
@@t8910 But there wasn't lead paint.
@@promontorium A lot of the time there was
Awesome Work 🤯, the powder paint is so strong and beautiful 🥰👍
Helloo
I love you bro
Tysytube your also rescue and restore tho
I was thinking the same 😍
I love the fact that these 2 are constantly giving each other advice its like they're the movie siblings that always get along
Also u 2 should do a colab one of these days
Am I the only one who finds the rust and old paint removal to be very satisfying to watch?
The reason this man is the best is because every little piece that comes with the item is usually restored, other channels will break parts and go "wow, that was really old, it just broke! Oh well."
Man sand blasting is like a freaking magic eraser sometimes.
Yes i love sand blasting
Some times
It's like watching a reversed video of someone painting something 😂
Finally another restoration channel where no one talks, I absolutely do not care about what type of chemicals you use, I just wanna see what you guys do
Amazing toy, all mechanical. My favorite part is the sound of the clicks when things go back together, still aligned.
Oh, how I missed these videos... So strangely satisfying! 😉👍
This dude is underrated
@@JerryGaming1111 Agreed! 😎👍
Especially without the loud annoying music and commentary that other restoration channels have...
Your video couldn’t have come out on a better day - I’ve had the crappiest week - and your videos are just so soothing to me for some reason. Thank you for all you do!!
They really are, aren't they? I can recommend a few other channels who are titans of restoration like R&R here, if you would like. He is definitely the cream of the crop though.
Sorry to hear about your crappy week. Hang in there. 😉 🙏
Restoration ASMR as some call it lol
Me too. That's why I watch.
@@serenity6415 Thank you Tina, that would be awesome. I watched 2 last night from Tysy Tube (?) I think the name was, but if you know a bunch of good ones, I would love to check them out.
古き良き時代を見事なまでに綺麗に復元してますね。
素晴らしい。
I LOVE SKEE-BALL! Why can’t toy manufacturers make/bring back awesome game toys like this? 🤔
Some people like the sand blaster.. For me, it's the snapping together of the metal parts.. Such a satisfying click!
Yes it’s all so satisfying. Personally my favorite part is watching the paint cure
man, the quality of these old toys is just ridiculous!
8:14 They've used another metal slab just for the damn label LOL
Built to last and sadly that's how they go out of business.
Now everything from toys to actual cars are built to give away pretty soon so the consumers are caught up in the endless cycle of buying!
Heck, even the mobile apps and games and TV shows are subscription models so you're forced to buy again and again so the business keeps on giving!
@@tune2john They didnt have plastic at that time and metal lasts longer than plastic
@@tune2john mmyup, built-in obsolescence is what it is these days.
Hungryghost01 They also had a really more reduced market than nowadays
tune2john About games it concerned only some really greedy company, For exemple EA make a Fifa games every year so people have to rebuild their Fut team every year, Activision milking Call of duty is now a decade year old joke.
Otherwise i don't see other exemple in console game, however it really make sense in a lot of mobile game with a lot of "power creep" (releasing way too powerful stuffs so that the ones you already got feel way weaker), it's kinda like planned obsolescence
Watching you fix all these old toys makes me happy. I always thought antique toys are cool
Nice job for bringing this old toy back from the dead
The legend is back again.
I love these!
I watch so many other CZcamsrs do things like this, but yours are my favorite!!
Beautiful restoration!! And you preserved the graphics, which really made it look authentic. ❤️
It's really amazing how many old things were held together with bent metal tabs.
Enamelling always looks impressive but that chrome looked stunning.
Yes! The sand blaster returneth! Happy Friday to all!
Happy 🦃 day to you and your family ! Blessings from lockdown in California. 🥧
By far the best restoration channel. Just simple and great quality without dragging on time or certain steps. This guy is the best
These videos are always so satisfying to watch. I've watched every single one of the videos on this channel and they always calm me down 🖤 thank you so much for making this content 🥰
So
The good thing about videos like yours is that you can see how the object was built, it's very interesting
My regular break from this self destructing society. Thank you my friend ❤
The clear coat paint was amazing.... I love to see how your facility has morphed!
Man that red powder paint is on another level
Just what I need to unwind after a long day at work! Love these videos!
IT IS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK..!!! A lot of people copy the minimal, black glove style, but there is only one Rescue and Restore. I love the type of tin toy finds you fix. This one is especially lovely, and looks fun to play - wish it belonged to me!
Your work like I saw your video from tik tok and man your work it’s just mind blown when I saw you put the stuff in that light room and it got like metal man I was like wow that’s just beautiful keep it up 👍
Idk what’s so different about this restoration channel but all I know it’s my favourite
POV: you're disassembling and reassembling your pen in school
But in actuality you can’t figure out why it gets jammed and you’re annoyed with it and throw it away:):):)
Rescues me from this insane reality and restores my soul to it’s original settings.
My favorite therapist!
Thanks for the session.
Master of the magic powder!
Are you talking about paint or drugs?
Just really cool to see older toys come back to life , kids today dont even know what a rotary phone is let alone these great toys
Somebody HAS to make a sandblasting simulator game. It's so satisfying to watch
I love the way you preserved those score labels, was really good decision, entertaining to watch and amazing work as always 😍
I've been waiting forEVER for you to come back. Hope all is well.
Simply perfect. I AM SO VERY GLAD TO SEE THAT talented and passionate people like you still exist in our "Its broke, throw it way" era...
Can we appreciate that this thing even keeps score
They dont make em like this anymore..Top quality engineering and a great restoration to match. I always enjoy these upload.
The sand blasting is so satisfying
They don't make games like this anymore. Great job!
My god... I could watch powder coated items cure all day long. Soooooo beautiful...
I get so happy whenever I see you post a new video it's ridiculous. This is the first restoration channel I subscribed to and it's still my favorite.
I don’t know why but I appreciate how they do a lead check every time before they start
Because if the paint is lead-based, you don't want to be breathing that in when you blast it off. The blasting process turns it into dust which would be easily inhaled. I realize the blasting cabinet is enclosed, but it's not totally sealed so there is potential for dust to escape.
@@sw6188 I know that, it’s just other channels don’t check
Literally just uttered, "oooh, he's gotta sandblast it"....I'm officially addicted to these vids.
Another impressive restoration! Love your work. Sharing on The Awesomer.
The sand blastig part never fails to amaze me 😍
El canal UN POCO DE TODO me recomendó este hermoso canal.

Ahhh I need a translator
It makes me happy to see you test the paint for lead before beginning.
The way toys were built back then is a true testament to people working hard. This was so cool to see you put it back together in working order. I guess most things were red back then huh.
I’m so happy to see you back. Great job! Stay safe and healthy!
Wow, I loved the baked on finish that left a mirror shine! Didn't know they had a bake on product like that. Great job!
It's called a powder coat
The clear coat over the original graphics was genius. As I look at it, it still has a patina to it that is hard to preserve. That clear coat is a good clear coat. The washing it off helped tremendously too, but it wasn't too much to make it look cleaned, rather weathered over time. Excellent restore here. Most of the stuff was standard, but the preservation of the graphics and the wooden bits was absolute mastery here. A lesser craftsman would have done something else that didn't do the piece justice.
This helped me fall asleep when I had insomnia. The sounds were soothing
at 8:00 I actually scared my husband screaming "What are you doing?!" to the screen. Clearcoat. >.< lol
Why would you scream
@@sticlavoda5632 cause I’m drama and I forgot my husband was in the room 😂
@@Jakathera More power to you i guess . Be you
I always enjoy your restorations. Excellent work!
Nothing like a good ol' sand blasting and baking segment to satisfy your needs
This guy is so good at what he does he could probably restore my life.
This is the best restoration channel ever, I especially love the sandblasting and the powder coating makes it look like new, these toys are new in 2020 as they were back when they were first produced.
Great restoration
The sandblasting is incredibly satisfying to watch
Think I just found a new favorite channel. Outstanding job.
Oh man i like how good it finish! It’s so good! And also bring more frequently, I like your videos too much
Senti uma imensa saudades da infância. Ficou muito lindo!!!! Parabéns.
Watching the chrome dry in the oven was the most satisfying thing
Sanding this one is really ASMR overload!!!😊😊😊
The attention to detail...
I need a red R&R hoodie..
Great thinking, I'll take a tee if it happens because this is definitely the best restoration channel. Great to see another video.
The powder paint is insane, the way it sends out a mess of powder yet ends up looking perfect blows my mind
So glad you kept the original graphics. They’re in better condition than I thought, and that clear coat makes them gorgeous. Well done!
It’s nice to “skee” you posting videos again!

That's when toys didn't require batteries
The glossiness of the paint is so satisfying for some reason.
I can't stop watching these videos. So relaxing and constructive.
It’s my favorite!
ESTO ES UN POCO DE TODO
Your mastery never ceases to amaze me. So glad you kept the original graphics. Priceless.
That powder coating is magical to watch.

This is the perfect example of why you are the best. Thanks for a great video it was amazing work as usual keep them coming monthly please your videos are a big part of what makes my day good while i sit at home recovering from a big surgery on my spine.
The preservation of the original graphics really makes this piece great! definitely a rescue today

Gran trabajo, me encanta la forma en la que reparas todo. Nuevo Sub🔥♥️
Awesome restoration. 👍
I was over the moon when you were able to preserve the original graphics!! I know that's not possible a lot of the time. Your work is impeccable!! The first restore of yours I watch was the candy drop ❤❤ after that I knew this was someone with incredible talent! Thank you so much for sharing!!
