Some German love for you all!
Long high tier German match, filled with Spitfires, a fan favorite. The Bf109G10 has recently become my favorite 5.3 Bf109.
I'm less aggressive than usual in this match, due to being German at a high BR. Smart flying yielded the carry for the match.

Hahaha thanks for the praise!
If you edit this to 2019 I’ll probably enjoy that
@@AdamTheEnginerd dude i got a lot and corrected my mistakes
you are the best
Your aim is so impressive. Noticed again that you didn't once use the camera zoom.
Thanks! Yeah there is no inherent accuracy bonus to zooming in. In my opinion, it simply reduces your field of vision and prevents you from seeing what's going on around you. It's a bad habit.
I think zooming sometimes encourages you not to lead enough because you're trying to keep the target plane in view. I'll find it hard to give up though!
Yeah often times the plane will be out of your sight if you're aiming enough while zooming in.
I realized some days ago how i was zoomin just without real need when i managed to kill a p47 at a 1km distance with just a burst of 20mm....Now that i realized that, most of the times it seems like zooming actually affects my leading instead of helping it. One can aim so much better at 500m or less without actually using it, you end up making the mouse move a smaller distance to put thre reticle where it need to be.
zooming in is great with american 50 cals.
Air RB everyone fight to death when random p47 " look mom! I make pew pew to those cars !" ...
Yeah...
Reporting you to Gaijin for hacks
Plz no.
lol
Green Fury can you two duel?
Haha is that a request? Why?
Adam514 Why not ? Two elite players facing off against one another :D What can be better than that ;) Btw. absolutely awesome job in this game. I thought it was some kind of a joke when I saw the title...
The idea of the supercharger switch is brilliant dude.. never thought of that.
Thanks! It's pretty important when you need every advantage you can get.
My god. This is the best match I’ve ever seen. So good to watch especially since I started trying to master the 109 line. Spading the G2/trop at the moment. Will definitely try to apply some of what I’ve seen here as I’m flying. Again what a superb match!
Haha thanks mate!
Bf109s are among the most difficult aircraft to fly in WT, but it becomes quite satisfying to wreck in them once you've mastered.
I have a "Tricks" video essentially dedicated to a very advanced Bf109 maneuver for when you've gotten the hang of 109s.
now these are the type of titles that capture people's attention!
Haha! I was hesitant about adding the "9 kills" part of it.
2:25 very good thinking.
That encounter demonstrates the biggest flaw - in my experience - of the Fw 190 A family (NC.900 is a carbon-copy of the Fw 190 A-8) : elevator compression at high speeds. That compression coupled with its deteriorated engine performance above 3500m and a very aggressive low angle of attack makes it very hard to pitch back up. That guy was already doing about 450km/h IAS, then he started to accelerate even more by going negative and following Adam. From about 550 to 650km/h IAS it gets very stiff. At those speeds you need anywhere from 1000 to 3000m in order to succesfully recover from an extended -45° dive, that is, with take-off flaps, which will usually only break at 550km/h and above. The NC.900 player had most likely deployed flaps, since he made a very quick recovery, but as a result he bled a lot of energy. Above 650km/h it is nearly impossible to recover from said dive. So my advice is to avoid going negative at such high speeds with those planes.
Thanks!
Yeah the NC.900 wasn't going to get me in that maneuver, it has massive compression.
I once pancaked into the ground because I was doing 700 at nearly 90° straight down at 2500m and couldn't pull up.
@@AdamTheEnginerd was that an elevator nerf from a long time ago?
@@chriswaters2327 Yeah, it was buffed since then.
Wait, the NC900 was that Focke-Wulf in French post-war service, right ?
Now that, "9 kills" in the title, certainly caught my attention. Whereas I'm over here freaking out an all when I get three kills!
I have a lot to learn... (Oh and I'm not old, you might think I am from what I keep commenting on these videos.)
C L I C K B A I T.
Haha I didn't think you were old, not sure what you said that would make someone think that.
Aaahh Midlife crisis
I just wanted to say thanks for this video. I'd given up on the G-10 quite some time ago, but this helped me finally get into it and start using it well, and helped my friend start getting into the high-tier 109s too. I really appreciate your excellent, informative content.
My pleasure mate!
Very fun to watch and educational, this'll really really help me at mastering the G10
Thanks man, glad to help!
Thanks for the video man. I didnt know the "radar" thing. Your work is great. We really learn from you.
Yeah it's a neat trick in clouds/at night.
Thanks for the support!
Haven't seen anything in the scoreboard.. i'm still curious, what youre all seeing there.. I havent seen there an shadow or anything.. still confused :D
@@Bad_wolf_41 your points go up if you are within 1.5km of the enemy. If the points stop going up you are going in the wrong direction and just re-orient until the points go up again. You can also hear the engines/props of the enemy and you can use that to turn left or right to get into the general area

Thanks mate! Welcome!
Imagine ground pounding in a P47M in a downtier....
Yeah... Outrageous.
That was fearsome.
I hope never to meet you on opposite sides of the battlefield.
Thanks mate!
just watching these videos makes me hop right back on after years in my G-2 and dominate using these simple tactics. It's honestly why Germany is such an enjoyable nation to play. You have your framework and instead of using the guns blazing "bloodlust" mentality, a.k.a tunnel vision, you just methodically bleed the energy of your victim and then like a spider, go in for the kill.
Such beauty in this fighting style
I'd like to see you fly the Ta 152 H-1
It's an excellent aircraft to fly as it turns quite well for a German fighter and gets an air start. Also the mk108 just shreds planes to pieces
I can try, but my experience with Tas has not been stellar up till now.
Adam514 the ta 152 c3 is one of the easiest planes do get a lot of kill with, if you want to try that. Can't really energy fight that well, but it is near impossible to get out of the guns way when a c3 is diving on you
Adam514 you basically play it like a focke wulf, with plenty of discipline. I see you have that discipline so I think you won't have problems playing it. The good part is that it's a lot more forgiving. I noticed that the Bf 109s just give up when you're at a critical point of a dogfight, they just start performing terrible. But a this plane is a complete opposite, it gives every bit of performance, which I absolutely love. To prove this plane can be used as a fighter, once won a 2v1 with F8Fs, which I couldn't have done in any of the Fw 190s. The throttle control and right timing on the flaps is crucial though.
I'll try it. I tried the TaC for a bit and while I have a decent kd with it, it's extremely difficult to carry with it because it's outclassed in performance by Allied fighters in nearly every category.
Adam514 yeah true, it is not something you want to 1vs1 in, but the cannons prevent a lot of dangerous situations
This channel's very nice and educational. I learn a lot from your videos.
David Park Thanks man!
what a smooth landing. I do not think even at my best I have ever had a landing that smooth
I was more careful because of the damage haha.

thank you so much!

Adam, could you show us how you do all those manual controls while on mouse aim? I’ve looked through my controls and can’t figure out how to do it
There are tutorials to set up MEC on CZcams. Essentially after you set everything up in Manual Engine Controls, you can bind a key to toggle Manual Engine Controls and switch back to mouse aim, and by using that key you can toggle in and out of MEC when flying in mouse aim.
I am very impressed with this game! Maybe I should watch some more of your videos to improve my own skills at this game.
NJ Sullyalex Thanks mate! Some do that and they say they improved a lot!
Aircraft designers: BF109s are not suited to fight multiple enemies at low altitude.

Lmao WT isn't WW2 though.
@@AdamTheEnginerd The content creator has responded to my comment!
Get the camera!
I am grinding this plane now, kinda hard for me cuz I lost the way of the Messerschmitt in learning the way of the Fokkeh Wulf, but it is slowly coming back to me. (The stock belt for 20mm SUX XD)
Yeah after a long time not flying 109s you lose your edge, but it comes back quickly enough!
Hey adam your skills are awsome! And what you chose Bf109k4 or G10?
I love the g10 here. The only frustrating thing is getting into matches where most of your team is full of useless bombers and there's only 2 fighters. Besides that it's a joy to fly
brilliant tactics....you were really patient...did not go after kills and didn't risk your plane
Thanks!
This, this is really good. You get into fights pretty often, and win a lot of then. Do you attract other players of something?
Perhaps ;).
Earned a sub for wrecking in good old Emil.
Thanks and welcome!
Hey man, i came back to this video to see how it's done again. Wondering if you've ever played the g14AS. I go back and forth on what's better; the k4 or the g14AS. in the reign of p47s the g14 has the high alt speed and maneuvering needed. 700kmh at 7000m supposedly. And like i said it's lighter than the k4 so it turns well too. I haven't tested at that alt to see which plane is faster but itd be interesting.
G14AS is probably a better deal for the BR. But K4 is a good counter to P47s because it's faster at low alt and has great acceleration, spiral climbing is great with it against P47s.
@AdamTheEnginerd Hey, I know the video is old. But, I was amazed at how you spotted the A26 through the clouds. I didn't quite understand how you used the scoreboard to use as a radar 🤷♂️. Could you explain a little?
Cheers 🍻
You get 1 point every second if there's at least 1 enemy within 1.5km of you. So if you check scoreboard repeatedly, you can see if your points increase to know if there's an enemy near you.
dude u taught me a lot... tks so much and keep the good work xD
My pleasure mate, thank you!
great vid, ty!
Thanks, my pleasure!
Thank you my Bf109 brother
My pleasure!
Do you have a video telling what you are doing with radiator/oil and prop changes?
Not specifically no.
great game !!! wish i could be as good as you were in this video. excellent flight discipline
You can learn from the source!
Adam514 i have a hard-time climbing in realistic, and a harder time trying to get enemies off my tail
I show a lot of the 2nd one!
Adam514 will try to learn that from you, for now i learned how to properly engage in a bf109. Ty! U got a sub from me :)
Thanks man, welcome!
Damn nice aim Adam, it's just ashame that axis always throw away their energy advantage and allies having a good diversity of planes (p51d, p47n/m, griffon and merlin spitfires, typhoons) to play around with. Without the italians g55s and hitlerbolts, I wonder how do they ever win the match?
Yeah Italians were a great addition, now brainless Allies die to G55s and G56s and it reduces pressure on the German fighters.
There's still some good german pilots.
I love your 109 videos they help me a lot... even though I have top tier i still always prefer the bf 109’s.
Kind of like how squire prefers the spots now that I think about it.
Glad they help!

Take this well deserved sub and let me check some other vids, I just love the explanations, smart playstyle and very good aim.
What do you think of using stealth belts?
I am so used to them, that seeing actual bullets makes me confused lol
Are they much less powerful?
Haha thanks man, welcome!
I use stealth on some guns, like Hispanos. Thing is if I use stealth, then viewers can't see where I'm shooting! Stealth is usually slightly more powerful.
I have lots of similar videos! Plus this is a relatively old one.
@@AdamTheEnginerd No need to tell me about other videos, as I am rapidly going through them! ^^
Very entertaining stuff, and top notch commentary.
Outstanding skills, and besides all of that you are playing with your subscribers!
I'd love to play with you, as it's really hard for me to win games on my own. Allied teams these days...
When can we catch up?
Sure I fly with subs relatively often!
If you mouse aim how do set up controls for radiator and prop pitch? Do you have to turn instructor off?
No you need to bind a key to toggle Manual Engine Controls (MEC) to access MEC in mouse aim. There are tutorials on CZcams on how to do it.
Man the old 109 guns sound so badass
how can you keep this view on other planes chasing you and on the same time fly your plane? i have to press C button for looking around me but it takes effort and distructs me.Can you help?
I use keyboard. I added elevator keys too.
Can I fly the 109k-4 the same way? I have that but not the G-10 and I am spading through PvE before I go to "waste" 10 free missions
Listening to those guns is the best ASMR
Haha indeed!
What an aim ! Can you please explain why you are controling your radiator etc ?
Thanks!
To optimize speed and cooling.
Little did we know Adam is a reincarnated Bf109 ace pilot
Haha I wish.
Hey Adam, i have a question. What do you think is the best Bf 109 the K-4 or the G-10? For me the g10 is better, because the k4 30mm sparks too much and its sluggish. I prefer the g10
I've got a video comparing them!
czcams.com/video/J_QuhR3MAOM/video.html
Also K4 can load the 20mm instead of the 30mm.
Do you use mec? I noticed your much heavier on wep than I am but my engines constantly overheat to the point I feel I can’t use wep at all. I’m newer btw.
Yup I use MEC a lot.
Impressive video Adam for learn air rb. I have some questions if you wouldn't mind to answer:
1. Currently I am still using Bf 109 G2/trop, but it's engine will overheat very fast. I watch your video, your bf 109 G-10 won't overheat like mine. Is that the flaw of Bf 109 G2/trop?
2. I am currently research Fw 190 A5/U12, because I want to try it's 4 canons. But I don't know which one is better in general between Fw 190 A-5/U12 or Fw 190 A-5? Is U12 worth it?
3. Is this true if all german ww2 fighter are energy fighter? Or there is a turn fighter?
4. How to categorize a fighter as a turn or energy fighter? Is that based on fighter turn time or there is other parameters? example: if the turn time below 20 sec categorize as a turn fighter, if around 20-30 sec categorize as energy fighter?
5. What crew skill I need to improve for make the bomber gunner shoot incoming plane? My gunner crew don't care about incoming enemy fighter, until I got hit or I switch the camera to controlling the crew gun.
6. How do you show the characteristics box?
Honestly I have a lot more questions, but I think these are enough for now 😁. Thank you for your effort creating this awesome video. I am your new subscriber. o7.
were narvals more threatening in the past? dont ever remember having a reason to fear narvals. They are kinda fast, and 6 autocanons in nose is scarry if you headon but they dont turn that good and their acceleration is not that great
Gaijin makes 7.92s feel like 12.7s, 12.7s like 0.303s, 20mms like 7.92s and 30mm like a 13mm LMAO
Haha nah, I'd only slightly agree with 7.92s 13mm.
Also, spectacular job. 9 kills. Damn...
Shoutout to Vincenigel, though. He played an integral role.
Thanks! I don't think I've gotten 9 kills with Germany prior to this game.
Yeah he's the MVP.
Hey! Great videos! I see you are still commenting despite this being 3 years old, so I thought I might just give mine a shot. Are you using sound mods or is this just how war thunder sounded back then? haha. If it is sound mods, do you think I could have the link for them if you still got them? thanks!! keep up the good work! :)

Adam, why do you use TAS when flying props?
It's what I started with. There are pros and cons for both systems. I like TAS because it gives you a better measure of how fast the enemy is going relative to you, and how high you can actually climb up to someone who is higher than you.
What is your convergence , if you even use any? I think i might have been leading way too much with my 151s now that i saw your video.

Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT):
-Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying.

thank you Adam. To slow down during landing you can dip your nose down (not too low or your propeller will hit the ground, however if you are a land based plane and trying to land on a carrier this is the only way) until speed lower to 120-140km/h, depending on your plane's minimal take off speed, and then pitch nose up like you are trying to take off. When you lower ur speed to less than 100km/h that is when you can make a 180 degree turn.
Yeah I do dip my nose usually, but in this match I didn't want to risk it due to battle damage.
I use the tail wheel only when I reach 80km/h, over that and it can be dangerous.
Well done. Just wondering, was it luck or did you really know that he wouldn’t get guns kn target at 2:47 in your vertical climb though? Keep up the good work, I miss playing WT haha
Of course I knew, or else I wouldn't have done it! NC.900 is one of the worst fighters in the vertical, I wasn't worried.
If you miss it then you should play ;).
It was know I am sure. That was a 190A8 (under a different name) trying to follow him through a loop and into a tightening spiral climb. 190As just dump their energy in sustained maneuvers so it was just never going to be able to have the energy. Sure he stalled not long after but he was safe from the NC.900. Had it been anything else it would have likely been a repeat of the 262vsF-84 video with the hope that the hits weren't fatal. The point of that maneuver was to force a reversal of position while draining the opponents energy. It was done very aggressively but safely simply by knowing his and his opponents aircraft. And the tendency of bad decision making by the average player.
11:50 kinda reminds me of something that happened to me before:
So, i had to engage a p 38 in my spaded bf 109 g2 trop at 7500 m , with an energy advantage., I flew over to another bf 109, with my smoke on. The p 38 dove for him, the the other 109 also dove. As this was happening, I was climbing like crazy, and then when they were both near the deck, I dove for then, killing the p 38. Interesting fight.
Why wait until they were near the deck? Sounds like you waited too long.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Oh nah, I couldn't catch either of them in a dive, and my plane was threatening to rip apart, so I didn't really have much of a choice.

My squad members think it's a mistake to load gunpods on 109s. However, the performance difference isn't that big, so if your aim isn't that good I'd load them. But I don't load them since I don't need them.
Adam514 ok. I use them to have extra firepower and accuracy, so it feels pretty good to use them.

It's what I started with. There are pros and cons for both systems. I like TAS because it gives you a better measure of how fast the enemy is going relative to you, and how high you can actually climb up to someone who is higher than you.
I also look at the instrument panel on the browser from time to time.
the thing is nobody speaks about above average or profesional players at all in the WT community. It is all about premuim vehicles, memes and grinding in general
As in there's no pro cult? There is a bit of talk of the top squadrons.
"I'm the biggest threat and at the higher altitude"... and you're the fucking Adam514! Have they conidered the fact? LOL
Haha I wasn't very well known at the time of this match though.
how do you deal with the higher tier spitfires and the premium one who have a higher climb rate than 109?
The premium one has poor high altitude performance, so the 109 wins at high altitude. For the Griffon Spitfires, run to teammates and hope you fight them at lower altitude.

Probably won't get a reply considering how old the video is, but any advice you might give when fighting 109s in a Hellcat?
Dive to lure them to high speed, you turn better at high speed so initiate a dogfight if you can. Or set him up for your teammates.
I'm not sure Adam if you check up on the comments on older video's you produce but if you do by chance see this comment I want to commend you on such wonderful video uploads. I recently got back into War Thunder and you have definitely offered perspective and valuable lessons to be obtained. Hope to meet you in a match someday...preferably blue 😎 PEACE!!
Thanks for the praise, and welcome back!
Wich one is better k-4 or g-10?
Hmm probably K4 right now, the extra speed at sea level is helpful to run away from Spitfires and catch P47s.
Do you still prefer G10 over other later 109s like the K4 or G6?
Not really. K4 when it was 5.3 was the best deal for the BR clearly.
@@AdamTheEnginerd yeah, that's kinda the impression I got playing it. G10 seems to have less WEP power than the G6, and with MEC the G6 and K4 can keep WEP up for most of the match. The high altitude performance is only useful benefit of G10 and that's only at altitudes where the Fw-190 D-12 & D-13 are much better off
