- So I'm just going to say it - this is my favorite pumpkin I've ever done!!! As many of you know, I've already carved Batman and The Penguin, so I knew I just had to carve the Joker! Now, the Joker has been done quite a few times before by other 3D pumpkin carvers, but it has never been painted before (At least, not to my knowledge). So here is my carving, but with my own twist. (I mean, c'mon! It's the JOKER! He's GOT to have his signature painted face. ;-) ) Speaking of that, this was my first time airbrushing anything in over 10 years (NOT Photoshop - I'm talkin' real airbrush gun and paint), and I have NEVER done anything like this, so it was all new territory for me. VERY fun though! Not sure I'm going to top this pumpkin this year, but we'll see! ;-) Happy Halloween!!! -Brandy Davis, The Pumpkin Artist

wicked, I just started sculpting last year I want to give this a go

You are so talented!
Wow looks awesome!!!!! I wonder if u I put lemon juice on it if it wld last longer.
I like it very much :).
Brandy... :o :o :D! You made my favourite villain perfectly thanks for doing this for me, you are a legend. Have a great Halloween!
For sure! I was undecided on making a Joker, but your comment at the beginning of the season made me go for it! So thanks! :-)
Why So SERIOUS !!!
Wow.. awsome! ;)
I am so inspired wow!!!!
but the pumpkin is very nice
Wow that was amazing you are very talented if you don't mind me asking how are you able to use that song without getting your video taken down?
Thank you! And I am able to use the music because my videos aren't monetized - I make absolutely no money off of them. I make and post them purely for entertainment purposes.

How do you know how deep you can carve into it without making a hole?
sooooo, all this work for 10 days of admiration, then ROTT? why do it? or are they preserved somehow?
This video is a preservation, maybe the actual art? If the video is viewed by many, for many years to come, the sculpture on display for 10 days and viewed by a couple hundred people, and the act or ‘performance’ is performed alone over a few hours, which one(s) are of critical importance?
How long did it take you total?
Fidabulous from what I can remember, this took me about 8 or 9 hours - mostly because I hadn't used an airbrush in over 10 years, so it was very challenging to get used to again.
OK so what tools do you use...cause no one says anything on these channels...I gotta know the secret...
I explain on my blog what tools I use and where I get them: thefeatherartist.com/3d-pumpkin-carving-tools/ . Check it out and let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks! :-)
I appreciate your time and will start my collection...I already have some clay sculpting tools so I guess that's a good start lol...you have great skill on your quest into your mastery...although I don't believe in talent as much as I do hardwork and dedication to craft...I will say you are a true artist and I enjoy your work! thank you
FirsT LasT No problem! :-) Hey, that's how I got started - I had a few clay sculpting tools lying around that I accidentally forgot to return to my old pottery class in high school many years ago. haha. But at least they're still being put to good use, so that's plus! I agree about believing in hard work and dedication to your craft! I remember Will Smith said one time: “The majority of people who aren't getting the places they want or aren't achieving the things that they want is strictly based on hustle. It's strictly based on being out-worked; it's strictly based on missing crucial opportunities."
No matter who you are, there is always going to be someone more talented then you, smarter than you, faster than you, etc, but the difference is, who's going to put in the hard-work and put their talent to use? However, I don't look at it as a competition, except with ourselves - It's something we can all win. If you develop a passion in life, nothing can stop you from living it to its fullest extent...except you. And if can master getting your ego and excuses out of the way, then nothing can stop you. ;-)
you have an exquisite mind...and it shows in your work...I'm humbled by your sincerity to life and determination to conquer it's weight like atlas...Michaelangelo once said "if people knew how hard I had to work to gain my mastery, it would not seem so wonderful after all" that's life in a nutshell...we all seek the easy answer without the determination to gain knowledge and truth...I appreciate ya! thanks
I got the same tools, spent hours sharpening them, and still they don't perform well, I can't even cut an intended path most of the time. The video makes it seems like you can carve so effortlessly.
Honestly, the Joker unpainted looked rather like a certain presidential contender...
haha. Purely unintentional. ;-)
Excellent work, btw. Will enjoy seeing more of your work :)
what kind of camera do u use?
how long does it take you
So badAss. Good Job
Did you use clay to add to the chin?
No. It's a separate piece of another pumpkin I just shaped to look like his chin.
It's amazing! How do you make it so seamless?
Move the camera if you are going to move the pumpkin.
very bad music
