    Ingredients:
    2 cups (350 g) of short-grain rice, 2 cups (460 ml) of water, 2 cups (460 ml) of milk, handful of raisins, 2 packets of vanilla sugar (2×9 g), 3½ ounces (100 g) of butter, 4 eggs (separated), zest of a lemon, zest of half-an-orange, 6 ounces (180 g) of sugar, 3 pinches of salt, 1½ tablespoons of breadcrumbs, butter for greasing the springform
    Chocolate : a little less than 1 stick ( 100 g) of butter, 1 cup (100 g) of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 4 tablespoons of milk
    Fruit Sauce: 1 pound (450 g) of assorted frozen berries, 6-8 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
    INSTRUCTIONS
    Often times you’ll find that dishes made from simple ingredients taste the best. This Rice Cake (Rizsfelfújt) is one of those desserts. It’s typically served with fruit jam or raspberry syrup. In this recipe I will top the cake with chocolate sauce, which goes well with the flavor of lemon and vanilla.
    Wash the rice in lukewarm water, then place it in a pot and pour the water in. Add salt and cook the rice until it absorbs almost all the water. Pour the milk into the half-cooked rice and continue to cook on low heat by stirring it frequently. Once the liquid has evaporated, turn off the heat and place a lid on the pot. Let the rice cool down and absorb the remaining milk. Grease a 9-inch springform with butter and sprinkle a little breadcrumbs all over. Beat the egg yolks with sugar for 3 minutes until its color becomes pale and doubles in its volume. Add the soft butter, raisins, lemon zest, orange zest to the rice. Combine the rice with the egg yolks and the vanilla sugar. Beat the egg whites separately until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the rice mixture. Pour the rice into the springform and bake it in a preheated 355 °F (180 °C) oven until the top turns golden brown and the top becomes firm.
    For the chocolate sauce put all the ingredients into a small saucepan and cook until it becomes shiny in color, and thick in texture. It takes less than 2 minutes of cooking. For the fruit sauce place all ingredients into a pot and cook until they become soft.

    That really turned out beautiful. My Mom made a German version which was good too but it wasn't fancy.

    Your rice pudding looks delicious. Is that wooden spoon from Hungary? I have not seen one like that, it's nicely shaped one.
