    I hoped you were going to show how to apply masking stripes accurately.

      I used a laser to lay out stripes to ensure they were straight. As for the exact location of them, I made some measurements prior to polishing, then applied that. For the rest of the “curves” and design on the cowling, I free handed it.

    I own a 1947 140 and had a question about rigging the wings, mine has a slightly heavy pilots side wing. Would you have a minute to tell me how you rigged your wings when you installed them?

      From what I was told, this airplane flew very straight years ago, so I didn’t adjust anything. I did however check the rig on the wings to ensure they were the same side to side, which they were. I’ve searched through Cessna archives for a rig procedure on these wings, but haven’t found anything. I would say here is the “unofficial” procedure: Put a level on the inboard rib and zero it (bottom side of coarse). Then move that level to the outboard rib and ensure the wing has a 1-2 degree washout (trailing edge high). That should get you pretty close.
