Scary Siren Ambiance Hamilton, OH 7/4/18

- This was by far the most ominous sounding ambiance I have ever heard, even more so than Toluca. Heard in this video are the 7/10 HOR Super Sirex, a low pitched Thunderbolt 1000T, and a 508. Another higher pitched 1000T joins in from time to time as well.
You may recall that I tried this same ambiance last fall, and the HOR failed while the rest of the system worked. This past winter, a new radio was installed on the HOR, and had been working every test since at least April.
I worked until 11 PM the night before, woke up at 6 AM, and drove 4 hours down here in 90 degree heat. Am I insane? Possibly, but it was definitely well worth it.
I had called the sheriff's office on my way down and asked if they were testing the sirens since it was the 4th of July, and they told me they weren't since it was a holiday. However, 2 minutes later, they called me back, and said they were testing, so I continued my trek down here.
This was the happiest I have been ever been about a siren test in my life. I had been wanting this ambiance for a long time, and I'm so glad I finally got it, exactly 9 months after I first tried it.

The Sirex is just the creepiest thing.
Dude this is amazing. That thunderbolt kicked ass, the HOR was CREEPY, And the 508 added to the creepiness.
Those 3 sirens make the perfect creepy siren ambience.
The Thunderbolt gives you the feeling that the world is ending, the 508 has a plain ominous sound, and the HOR just has that unusual tone to it.
I thought the thunderbolt and super sirex sounded like the world was ending

@@Keaton0801 Prob. I'm in warren county tho..... Didn't hear butler counties sirens. But I got the tones!
@@queencitysirens8755 It only goes on Attack Mode if there is a tornado emergency (touchdown nearby). For tornado warnings and monthly tests it uses Alert Mode.

I have been to Hamilton before, but never caught a train there...
There were 2 trains right before the test and then one immediately after.

@@TommyBNSF i grew up in hamilton, moved away 5 years ago. I do not miss the trains and the business of that area.
The HOR had a FC install on it in April (?) and seems to work for every test now. I just finished mapping out the system and all of Monroe’s 612s are gone.
Yeah, that's sad to see. Just curious how many 508s did you find in Monroe? I found 3.

Sirens Of SW Ohio It sort of does a bit to be honest if you cancel out the distinct tone the tbolt gives.

Come To The Miami Valley Region Of Dayton, Where CSX And NS Mostly Travels.
Replace the 508 with several Model 2's and 5's and replace the Sirex with a stationary Super Sirex and you have the old Bellingham, WA ambiance.

Half the siren's output goes through the intake, which acts like a horn. It does make a decent difference
