Note the train at 3:55 PM with the CP engines and at 7:51 PM with Amtrak 383 . There's a really loud sound as the train approaches.     I don’t know the reason for the long shove move but it is the long shove move which is the reason for the caboose: They need someone on the end and hanging on the grab irons on a long move is too dangerous hence the caboose. Some lines call them shoving platforms. This is Matteson, IL looking north with CN-EJE crossing Main St. CN-IC is on an embankment to the left along with Metra / Electric.
