Brian & Melissa Fisher - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Good video Brian. A while back we were on the way to Land between the lakes for a day of fun. A guy with a uhaul and a car on a dolly asked if I could help him keep the straps from coming off. He had come from GA and made it to KY welcome center and had stopped to re secure the car 3 times. I explained and showed him and then had him secure it and check that it was right before leaving. He just didn’t know and no one had taken time to show him.
Great job Charles! You were a life saver to that guy and everyone else on the road! 👍🏼
30 years ago I was riding with my parents and seen a lawnmower bounce on a little trailer and send a late 70s model Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 in the ditch like it was sheet metal in the wind. I learned quite a bit that day. Cool vid for the newbies.
Your right I see so many people not hauling their stuff correctly. It should be common sense. But in todays world people have lost common sense. Please keep the videos coming!!!
Yes sir, thanks for watching and your feedback. 👍🏼
We always count how many bad tow setups on our way to the trails it’s scary. Great video keep them coming
We do the same thing! LOL… thanks for watching and your feedback buddy! 👍🏼
Well said Brian. I have seen many people use there winch as a tie down point. We were on a ride with you once and I asked Tyler if I can help him tie down the units on your trailer. The best answer I could ever ask for” Thanks G-man, this is my responsibility to do this correctly”. I would bet you guys don’t even know how many miles you’ve clocked towing, hauling correctly. Thank you for sharing what you’ve learned through the years.
Yes sir! That tip is actually coming up about using your winch to secure your unit. I saw a guy doing that at Sloan’s last week. SMH….
How about the people who spend $400 on a winch and then use it like a permanently attached $40 recovery strap??? For the love of God Brian....please do a video about that!!!
@@bigbluegpr LOL, I hear ya. I’m doing that video soon. 👍🏼
Great info!
Thank you! 👍🏼
Great job thank you
GREAT & important video. I am a commercial truck driver, load placement and weight distribution is critical for hassle free towing. I see lots of people hauling their SxS on a trailer that was never meant to haul that SxS, trailer tires are way overloaded, just a disaster waiting to happen. It's crazy, why spend premium money on a nice SxS and go cheap on a proper trailer? Anyway great informative video, I hope it will open peoples eyes and minds when it comes to towing in general.
Thanks for watching and your feedback Charles, appreciate your support… 👍🏼
Great video. Thanks!
Yes, sir, thanks for watching.
Great video, I’ve seen this a lot over the years with travel trailers as well !!!
Thanks for watching Kevin! 👍🏼
@@FishersOffRoad yes sir, love the diy’s and safety videos.
They actually recommend you tow the Polaris General loaded backward. Well at least that's what my dealer recommends because the roof catches the air different on a trailer and it can pull it off at highway speeds.
You need a new dealer… 🤣 No but seriously, 90 % of the dealers out there have no idea what they’re talking about. I looked at some of the Polaris corp videos and they even say “ never load your vehicle backwards”.
I always tow my grill forward facing, thanks for the tip
Thanks for watching.
Use the tire straps also. They work great at securing your utv without putting stress on the suspension.
Yes sir! The best way to strap them down. 👍🏼
I don't tow this way, but I never even thought about this.
I have a super atv flip up windshield and an amish made canvas roof i take off every long trip i take. And always tow the pioneer forward. Cuts down on a lot of wind resistance. These things take time and knowledge to have fun with.
Yes sir Scott, that top sounds pretty cool! 👌🏼
As well like you said strapping stuff down is really important. A lot of people don’t know how to use a strap properly. Great video
Yes sir, thank you. Check this video out we did. 👍🏼

So you think I’m a democrat because I’m Hispanic?
@Hugo Hernandez is the most conservative Hispanic guy I know! And he’s a veteran!!!!! 🇺🇸👍🏼
@@FishersOffRoad
Thank you, I think he delete his comment because I don’t see it anymore lol 😂.
@@joedirte716
Keep playing stupid. You didn’t comment on anybody else comment but mine but okay keep playing stupid. FYI I’m a republican. Brian knows, he knows me personally. There are Hispanic republicans.
Another safety tip. Cross the chains under your hitch, @1:59 your safety chains obviously aren’t crossed and won’t catch the hitch if the trailer detaches. See this all the time, stay safe out there. 👊
Yes, I agree. The manufacturer did not make the chains long enough to cross over, was not impressed with that trailer at all. I sold it not long after this video.
This is a great video . Biggest reason trailers sway is not enough tongue weight. I load my rzr so all the tires are in front of my first axle. .
Yes sir! Thanks for watching @Tomahawk Steak! 👍🏼
Well said..I have a few sxs roofs on the side of the highway..
Roofs aren’t cheap and it’s a big sail flying through the air when it lets loose.
I seriously doubt anyone on this channel is voting that way. Lol
Good stuff 👍 the whole trailer sway thing could be a big series of videos
Yes sir it could for sure! U-Haul could play it to everyone that rents a trailer! 🤣
Noticed you made a video on how to apply dielectric grease to electrical connectors but the comments were turned off. Anyway, some jackass watched your video and smeared dielectric grease all over every single connector underneath my customers truck. Made it undrivable. I had fun cleaning that mess up. Thanks for job security bro 👍
You clearly didn’t watch any of our Dielectric grease videos, we tell people NOT to pack their connectors with Dielectric grease! Maybe you should share our videos with your customers to help them out.
Great video Brian! Crazy how many people you see towing improperly. Strapping video would be great.
Thx
Yes sir, I have a strap video in my video line up. 👍🏼 In the mean time, check this one out…

Never had a problem with towing backwards. SuperATV flip up windshield that I flip up during towing. Also, a rear windshield will help deflect air, but not necessary as I’ve done it before installing one. Also, most UTVs are pretty evenly distributed in weight with the engines being in the rear, so weight is actually on the forward portion of the trailer towing backwards, along with coolers, etc being strapped in the dump bed of the side by side. Proper strapping is key in my experience.
The Honda Talon is designed to be towed backwards from the factory. But gear inside and or a windshield is a different story.
Wish more people would take towing more seriously.
I hear ya, me too!
Ya I see people doing this a lot and it drives me nuts.
I hear ya buddy!
Dang! I wonder how bad the driver of that Hoveround was ??
You know they got to where they were going and were like “WTF”!!!

Yes sir, thanks for watching my friend!
I’m looking to buy a utility trailer for a 4 door Polaris
Would a single axle be fine or would I need a double axle?
That depends on the trailer, there’s some good heavy duty single axle trailers but then there’s some that use a lower weight axle. I personally like a double in case I blow a tire on the highway.
@@FishersOffRoad thanks
Honestly, I didn’t even think about the tire blowout
I’m definitely getting a double axle
@@FishersOffRoad thanks

The best sight is that people who are soooooo cheap they'll get a $200 trailer for hauling their $20k+ machines..
I know right, with the little ass tires on a single Axel. 🤣
@@FishersOffRoad and they don't realize how much their Machine weighs, overload the trailer really quick.. Keep up the good work. 👍
Towing a load at 70-80 mph? Really? The first critical safety thing you can do is slow down.
Unfortunately people will not do the speed limit with a load, they definitely won’t slow down, so this is a starting point my friend…
@@FishersOffRoad Not just the safety issue. Fuel mileage drops drastically when hauling a trailer load of whatever. I have found that by dropping down to 63/64 MPH I can gain 4 - 5 MPG vs pulling at 70. Not a big deal but I am basically cheap and there is nowhere I have to be that I cannot plan the extra time into my trip.
Can I flat tow any UTV ?
What do you mean by “Flat Tow”?
Not using a trailer , drag it on it’s own 4 wheels. I am looking for an UTV that I can drag with no trailer, street ready, plates lights and tiers.
@@steverivera7270 I’ve never seen that done before?
I don't tow this way, but I never even thought about this.
