Trials and tribulations are all part of the game when first learning to drive a UTV, especially some of today's modern high-powered machines. But, with a few tips you can be practicing better driving technique and know what not to do so you can have more fun and enjoyment in your machine. No the biggest mistake is to many beers. Every single bad crash ive seen around my area is because one or both drivers involved was wasted.
good video. I just want to point out that as far as I'm concerned with the amount of riding I do and have seen what can go wrong never ride alone. join a group there everywhere. it's so much safer.
My local dealer told me that every single wrecked side by side was in the hands of a brother in law.
Also because you can afford the turbo version, doesn't mean you need to buy it or install it.
HOW ABOUT 5 THINGS I NOTICED:
1. Stop letting your 12 year olds drive them.
2. Put down the beers.
3. Drive like you DO NOT have a roll cage.
4. Make sure to go 70 mph and try to turn on a dime..that always works well
5. Driving WAY OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE

I’m amazed every time I go to the dunes the amount of people that think they know how to drive off-road, but really don’t.
I was waiting for the number one safety tip, never drive alone. All way ride with friends.

My 5 Mistakes would be in this order:
1. Not Reading or understanding the Owner's Manual - Always ask M.O.M (Manufactures Owner's Manual)
2. Not doing a Pre-Ride Inspection
3. Not being Situational Aware
4. Not wearing the appropriate PPE/Gear for the type of driving you're doing.
5. Improper Load Securement (Includes transport of the UTV (SXS)

Talon is a gear box. No belt.
@@dh-flies I seriously considered a Talon, Honda makes an excellent quality product. But I needed a 4 seater for family and the 4 seat Talon is WAY too long both in wheel base for high centering and overall for squeezing around trees on narrow trails. The pioneer 5 1000 is too much utility and not enough sport. I ended up with an RMAX4 which is almost the same size and weight as the RMAX two seater and about 2 feet shorter than the Talon 4. The Talon 2 is probably better compared with the YXZ actually as it’s the sport model.
Yamaha has the only belt driven CVT I would buy. Or get the YXZ that isn’t belt driven if you are pure 2 seat sport person.
Ummm and the tips are where!?
Also, its not a dirt bike, and it won’t do hillclimbs like a bike! And a failed climb in a side by side is a baaaaad scenario!

Total generalization! I've been 4 wheelin since the late 90s and I've helped lots of people and they've helped me. It's the 10% they give the other 90% a bad name!
I’ve all ways helped others, as they have helped me. I would agree with the 10% of bad riders make the majority of us look bad. I could say the same about jeepers. They think they own the road. You know what though. Not all of them are bad. I have met some really good people in Jeep’s. Rock-bouncers are the same way. There are just bad people out there. Don’t label all the good people because of the few bad. Don’t let them people change who you are. You are all out there to have a good time and you share the same passion for the out doors. People can drink and have a good time, but know your limits. If you friends are constantly telling you drink some water or gatorade, pickle juice, slow down on the drinking. You might want to listen to them. They are your friends for a reason. You lookout for one another. If not, then they are not your friends and it’s time for everyone to go their separate ways. I will gladly be that ass to tell them to leave because I protect my friend and my family.
Respect comes from being brought up right. Not what you ride. I see you ride a dual sport. So do I. I also ride a utv. I'm respectful and helpful no matter what I'm riding.
