Fun fact: onaga wasn't truly evil. He never attacked other realms and was a democratic ruler to his people. He was only deemed evil because he seeked to become immortal.
Actually no, Onaga is indeed being manipulated as well, but for someone whos entire existence its the escense of the realms itself, no other than the One Being, the same entity that its showed in the ending of Shinnok in MKX
@@Resterminador Nah Onaga's ending from the Krypt shows that he knew what he was doing and probably in turn used the One Being just as much as it used him. Unlike Shao Kahn who many believe was a puppet of the One Being since it couldn't use Onaga in the past to unite the realms, so it chose his advisor by fueling his ambition. Onaga even fuses the the consciousness of the One Being into himself after he done with the Elder Gods.

If you read Lores in mk11 krypt . You find out after Shao kahn defeated Onaga, he started massacring most of the outworld races and attacking other realms.

I would like to see him and Shujinko return in a mortal kombat game. I guess people didn't like Shujinko, but I thought his copy power was pretty cool. Due to their "strongest hero" status in the stories, I would like to see him and Liu Kang meet one day.

After all the years, Shujinko’s journey was nothing but a lie manipulated into believing working for the greater good however it was all for the greater evil upon defeating Onaga, it did not mattered to Raiden
Raiden's ending isn't canon. Shujinko's ending is canon however.

I remember after getting to this point in the game, I searched every realm to see how I could defeat Onaga and just spent so much time trying to see if there was anything else in the story lol

That's not accurate. Shujinko indeed helped Onaga to be resurrected but not at that very moment. As Shujinko collected the Kamidogu, Onaga gained the ability to resurrect himself, but he still needed a body host, which is why when Reptile came to the Lava Shrine looking for Nitara, Onaga shot a beam at Reptile from his egg and used Reptile as a vessel. So it wasn't Shujinko himself resurrecting Onaga, it was Onaga who gained the ability to come back from the dead thanks to Shujinko.
FInally someone who understand what happened REALLY. And how it is linked to Reptile's ending in MK Deadly Alliance.

@byonemesis Don't forget I believe Sindel's ending while Jade fighting off a controlled Kitana. Since discovers the Dragon King's body is still in his tomb and is trying to send his soul from his vessel (Reptile) into his actual body but Sindel stabs its heart killing him. We then partially see Reptile down on the ground. It's actually not his Deadly Alliance either it seems like he was back to being human unlike his self in the previous 2 games.
I feel sorry for Shujinko.

Looking back in hindsight, aside from giving us an FMV of Onaga reviving (I guess it wasn't in the budget) Shujinko should have tried to stop Onaga from taking the Kamidogu, giving us a fight where the player uses Onaga to defeat Shujinko.
The little tidbit where Onaga tried to run when he could fly sold it for me.
He just wanted Shujinko gone, he didn’t want to kill him otherwise he would’ve followed him through the portal. Not saying he did it out of the goodness of his heart because there isn’t any, but he had more important priorities

Scorpion was actually in the right. Maybe he knew Onaga was behind everything, but thought Shujinko was knowingly working for Onaga.
I hope the Great Dragon King will return for Mortal Kombat 12 and he will be becomes more powerful then he was in Mortal Kombat Deception and Mortal Kombat Armageddon and even becomes powerful then Kronika itself💪💪💪🐉🐉🐉🐲🐉🐉🐉💪💪💪

This game means so much to me. I grew up with this.
Damn I ain't gonna lie the ending was very bitter sweet cause you can't ever finish it with Onaga.
Technically the Canon way to beat him is in the normal fighting mode. Though it would have been nice to be able to go to outworld and encounter him in a new area resembling his base. You could keep encountering enemies and allies at the base fighting them and gaining power, then you could chose which fighter to beat him with, or even just use Shujinko.
And that’s why it’s called DECEPTION

Cassie never did kill him because the ending wasn't canon. If it was never mentioned in MK11 then it isn't canon and Shujinko known to be alive in MK11.

I love how people talk about onaga like he was some mysterious badass but in deception he's so awkward and goofy. If shujinko wasn't so honest, noble and naïve then he would have been found out as having less than noble intentions much sooner. He's such a goober in this game, particularly when he's damashi.
Onaga then went to borrow Thanos' gauntlet, to put the Kamidogu in.

btw all these happens before the famous raiden quan chi shang tsung vs onaga cinematic, the artifact key onaga talking about is amulet of shinnok and sorcerer he talking about holding it is quan chi, after this cinematic onaga goes to outworld in the deception cinematic and defeats all 3 of them and get the amulet of shinnok, shinnok was elder god, shinnok is weak and bad character but acording to mortal kombat lore he is the strongest person in game cause he is literally just a god, and its kinda like infinity stones each elder god have an amulet of power a stone and shinnoks is death each elder god represent something when you combine them like what onaga trying to do you basicly create infinity gauntlet.
I hope in the new continuity they have a new version of the story of Shujinko and Onaga except with Onaga rewarding Shujinko instead of trying to kill him
Random thought. What if God Liu Kang/Geras screw up the new timeline by accidentally dropping an artifact that creates Onaga. It would be cool to see Sheva, Goro, and many other characters become enthralled by his power.

If you really think about it, onaga was never defeated because if you did beat onaga in the mk arcade then you would quickly realize that in the ending onaga is portrayed dead, beaten to death. But in Armageddon where shujinko was seen trying to fight shao khan, onaga is still alive. Its already been confirmed that deception came first then Armageddon. And then when you see the ending to onagas mk deception scene they are literally indirectly talking about psalm 23.

I think he was because I remember seeing that Shujinko, Ermac, and Nightwolfs endings were Canon. Reptile would've had to get his body back somehow in order to show up in Armageddon since Onaga took it. Onaga probably had a way to keep himself from fully dying and manifested his Spirit into a normal mortal form.

I don't mean to come across like a know it all but I think the title of this video might be incorrect since it's actually Reptile who was the one who brought Onaga back to life not intentionally but his body was used to bring him back in his Deadly Alliance arcade ending.
