I've had 35 mris or so, for cancers. I lie there and think how glad I am that I haven't needed "exploratory surgery" as it was in the old days. Cut you open, have a look, close you up and do the real surgery next week.
Oh, for Heaven's sake. I just like to think I'm being rolled into a great big photocopier, but I LIKE Dubstep music. My MRI's are pure entertainment for me, like a personalized concert played off of my body parts. This last one the nice technician insisted I wear earplugs, but it didn't dampen my enjoyment. When it was done, I told him it was a little slim on melodies, but I could still dance to that crazy beat! Was difficult to keep still, I was be boppin'. Helps that I'm a musician myself, I suppose, but you can do it, too!
I'm scared of mri..evn I'm scared of elevators..i hav got stuck in an elevator for abt 30mins..i had panic attack.. my body gets heated up,unusual sweatings and breathing struggle..wat shall I do now..i may hav a mri scan this week..i really feel scared
“Wide Bore’ (3T) should be the industry standard while moving to open MRI. And head and neck outside whenever possible. Folks are less likely to schedule and complete procedures (including imaging) when they are very uncomfortable.
The loud sounds the MRI machine make just add to the anxiety. Truly a poorly made device. It takes 40 minutes to be in it. It's a nightmare and I believe that the same technology can be used to make a friendlier machine. Thunbs down.
Try laying motionless for 30 mins let me know how you do. No itching or scratching no repositioning, talking etc it's not as easy as one would think. And you might be able to do it at home and say oh man no problem but then get there and it's different. To some its Loud, cold worrisome about what they might find, you might cramp up. And if it's easy for you good your lucky.
Telling you to do these things while a loud jackhammer sound is in your ear is near impossible.
I always get earplugs.
try doing them for 30+ years. Though i do have a severe medical condition, so im kinda used to it

Got one coming up and im terrified
How do you keep your hearing? Isn’t the sound from the machine deafening?
No, it's not. You can get a pair of headphones
very claustrophobic.
Yes I just had a panic attack in the machine today no fun
How? Why? Do you get panic attacks in elevators?
Agree. Yet my doctors seem to only give my Valium. Within 4 minutes I’m yelling for them to get me out.
I threw up during mines
Oh my god I'm in the same boat
Don't chew gum or candy or dont wear dentures in it I almost choked on mine. Lol
I just did one scan where I was jammed in this trailer one. Talk about pure terror. Yikes
Ur joking….

it is loud, but it can show soft tissue in really high fidelity unlike CTs
@Robi Molnár no justifying for the heat and lack of air circulation inside, especially while wearing a covid mask.
@@makpazon11 yea that would be ruff with a mask on. Man I hated wearing it let alone in that small space for that length of time
What fragile beings we've become. it really is embarrassing.
After reading your statement I would say , speak for yourself!
