The Swedish ItPsV 90 is one of the most overpowered anti-air vehicles in War Thunder. It has a Leopard 2 chassis at 8.3, which makes it extremely fast. Combine this with lethal 35mm API-T, and I don't know how Gaijin haven't increased its battle rating yet.

My favourite part of this vehicle is that the designation is wrong. The ItPsV 90 is the Marksman turret fitted onto a T-55 hull, not a Leopard 2.
Gaijin could have easily added that instead of this weird, overpowered, and difficult to balance "Leopard Marksman".
They could also revert the name to the "ItPsV Leopard 2 Marksman", even if it's a way more clunky name.
You are correct, this is actually called ITPSV Leopard 2 Marksman
Basically, because the german Gepard is nothing else - same guns mounted onto an older (Leopard 1) hull) - the Gepard is also OP? ;)

That's because it's (S)AP-HE in Gaijin's world, with a rather high amount of filler for its total weight.

That was fixed, and you can see they are alive on the scoreboard.
As someone who likes using the Bradley and Sheridan this thing is the bane of my existence.

Props to that Maus in the last match being top of the team (given how the team was generally useless, doing it in an upteired Maus is impressive)
Maus is the best MBT if you know how to use it properly, it's a good sniper and brawler if you have at least a competent team. Which is kinda up in the air.
The same turret on the T55 chassis would have made much more sense for 8.3
It would also be correct itpsv90. This thing they added is Leopard 2 Marksman.

@@antti6117 the ItPsV 90 is the turret system, it can have different variants depending on the Hull, reason as to why they added the ItPsV 90 Leopard 2 is because it was issued to get in service in 2016. Plus the fact that only a few T-55's got the ItPsV 90 system.

@@TheFurryTanker Marksman is the turret system and itpsv90 is polish T55AM hull combined with the british Marksman turret. Itpsv literally means anti aircraft armored vehicle in our language. I have served in the finnish defence forces as a tanker, so I might know a thing or two about finnish armor.

You should try out the Challenger (A30) in the British tech-tree, it's 5.3 has a 17-pounder and wields two highly penning shells, Shot mk. 8 with 190mm of pen & Shot SV mk. 1 with 269mm of pen. It is also equipped with a highly speed-ready chassis and can go 52Km/hr as a Medium tank. This tank absolutely claps German and Soviet tanks alike
The Father Challenger. The only one to actually see more combat than its kids.
That thing is genuinely painful to use. Completely ineffective armour (Cromwell hull is literally from br 2.7), plus only solid shots, meaning you absolutely need to take out the gunner of an enemy tank with your first shot or you are dead. Almost never one shots tanks, too.

@haatonofthebasementoutofth276 The nice reload only matters if your first shot takes out their gun, else they will absolutely one shot you before the reload.
The L-62 Anti is honestly my favorite of the low tier bofors tanks. Compared to the others at higher brs, the aphe can pen pretty much everything frontally.
It's 2.7 and tier 3 as well so you can use it for battle pass challenges
Would love a comparison of all the 35mm SPAAGs to see which is the best. Gepard, Gepard 1A2, Chieftain Marksman, Type 87, PGZ-09, and ItPsV 90.
Tbf this and the Chieftain use the same British Marksman turret but the Finnish one is MUCH faster and better protected on the hull, basically objectively better.
Another Finnish vehicle you could try would be the Ito 90
the halo 1 assault rifle sounds how this feels, and hearing your usage of it fits PERFECTLY
I love the ItPsV 90, it’s so good at doing everything except being a boat and flying.
I think you should revisit the centurion mk1. Its top speed has been changed from 37 to 38km/h and now it is the most overpowerd vehicle in game (they will propably raise it to 10.0)

By the way, this spaa is the Leopard Marksman. The ItPsV 90 it is a polish t-55m chasis with the Marksman turret.

To follow a virtue of consistency I will recommend the WW2 Puma again, I did always love it's speed and the long 50mm is easily good enough for flanking at its tier.

That API-T is actually just mislabeled APHE-T. The real stats are in the protection analysis, it has almost 40g of explosive filler.

This thing had a lot of "teething pains" at the beginning, before Leopards. The FDF tried to mate the weapons system (a british turret swinging swiss guns) with a Polish-made T-55 hull. Surprisingly, there apparently were some electrical trouble. For a time, I thought the radar was French, but that probably would've been too much and made it impossible.
The turrets were in storage for five years after the T-55 hulls were rendered obsolete. During that time, the fighting troops these were slated for had only the CV9030FIN for an anti-air gun system.
Oh and since there's always a lot of hubbub about the name, it literally means "anti-aircraft tank 90", where the number is the year of procurement or IOC.

Technically, this is SPAA, but practically in game it is NATO version of BMPT Terminator. Awesome thing.

Oh mate this thing and the ZA-35 are absolutely bonkers. Having played both I personally prefer the ZA-35 just because of it's insane speed but it's down to personal choice.

35mm APDS that the Oerlikon GDF fires, do some wacky things, You can kill IT-1's by shooting the roof, and they just pass through armor sometimes.

As a british main...seeing this im starting to consider getting into Swedish tree, given that they got both British stuff, and German stuff...which is basically my second preferred tree

The halo sounds are what keep me coming back, especially the elite sounds lol
now you can play some variant of the Chieftain, but not the Marksman one, since it's just a lot slower version of this.
