The German Wiesel 1A2 is a particularly nasty little tank destroyer. It's incredibly small, fast, and annoying to deal with. It can fire with only the TOW missile launcher exposed, making it very difficult to engage when it's hull down. It's one of the more frustrating vehicles to deal with in War Thunder. If Gaijin finally made it so the crew members were exposed, it'd be a lot better.

Im in German Mechanized Infantry, and i can vividly remember some exercises when we would fight against light infantry units equipped with these, and they are a pain in the ass as a opponent, because they could find ways everywhere and pop up out of thin air and sling a (only simulated ofc) tow at our marder ifv‘s. Love that little rat in WT though. Great videos btw spookston, i really like the combination of humor and your historical knowledge👍🏻

How were the missiles simulated? Some laser system? Dummy, inert missiles?
@@IvanTre Probaly a laser receiver on the marder and the Wiesel throwing a laser
@@IvanTre Simulated by AGDUS (Ausbildungsgerät Duellsimulator), kind of Laser-Tag with Blanks in the weapons, but the TOW‘s just have the Laser part because a TOW „Blank“ would be rather impractical😁
Honestly surprised RAID still gives sponsorships given how big of a meme they are, but hey, atleast you're getting paid haha, other ratty vehicles for me are the Swedish UDES ( I think, the one the rapid fires like 6 rockets) and that small car with a TOW, very annoying on massive maps

Bro that thing is a menace on the battlefield it's autoloaded, it cannot be killed when 2 out of the 3 crewmembers die, and it's really well sloped on the front so it also has really good frontal protection.

@@Thekilleroftanks well its built on the t-54 hull iirc. with roughly the same weight and engine, and last time I checked the t-54 ain't no slouch when it comes to mobility being an mbt, an early one but still.

back in the day when the object 268 was tier 9 it dominated the td scene. then again back then all you had to compete was the T95 and jagdtiger, both of which are, how should we say this, not great.
and the su-122-54 was just a mini 268, which meant it continued stomping on people, if used correctly. just most people tried playing it like the isu-152 with the bl10 gun.
@@Thekilleroftanks I don't know why you'd call the Jagdtiger not great when it's rate of fire and damage were really strong. A 560 avg damage gun that reloads every 9 seconds with good soft stats was exceptionally powerful then.
5:11 Fun Fact, the MG3 has a heavier bolt than the original MG42 in order to reduce the firerate. So the "insane" firerate is already the reduced one :P
Regarding video ideas: how about "What if the Spz. Puma was historically accurate" ?
thats the first mg42, later versions had their rof tamed because, well that was a lot of bullets and the supply guys couldnt really keep up, oh and the fact it would melt barrels in minutes.
@@Thekilleroftanks Idk about the barrel part,they taught us to swap the barrels after one belt of ammo was fired,in consecutive bursts,so it would cool down and not get destroyed

they just blew through ammo because well, suppressive fire is good fire. and firing 1200 rounds a minute will destroy barrels like theyre made from paper. worse bit was due to the russian winters their rof would INCREASE, so some insane figures of 1500 to 1800 rounds a minute.
The Germans in ww2 knew how to conserve ammo, of course they did.
Overall ammunition was never a real issue for the wehrmacht the 42 was certainly less supply intensive than the 34.
A much more simple piece of hardware even with the higher ammo consumption.

11:07 Drozd vertical protection sector is only -6° from the launcher so it's possible to bypass the APS by just shooting low with ATGMs, especially lower front plate is easy to hit.

The Wiesel is also ratty in terms of it just being a complete Frankenstein of a vehicle. An atgm launcher on a mobile shoebox where the crew literally sit on the ammo like couches.

Hey, awesome video. I 've been a Wiesel platoon leader once and we were annoying af. It has some big downsides, but we often kicked the butt of Marders or even Leos. BR

First, how many MILANs would you carry in the Marder? Just 4 like in war thunder, or did you have the option for more?
And how steep of a hill could you still drive on in both the wiesel and marder?

Reminds me of the old days of playing the M22 at higher tiers back when it had spotting and a fair bit more pen on it's gun.
This BR has been hell for me, with getting the XM1 over the Christmas break, grinding out anything above 8.0 has been really easy. However Russia has been a huge pain in the ass, with me having a 35% win rate at 9.3
Russia is almost a guaranteed win at anything +8.7 it's so bad.
Ironically I perform better with my leopards then my nice new event T80
The tow-2a has a fuse timer so It works kind of like a Aphe which helps a lot with killing closed top light tanks cause it overpressures them. Also great video enjoyable as always
Spookston, you should really try the Bkan 1c. It’s literally a nothing or everything tank. Either you slaughter half the enemy team from your spawn, or you die instantly and do nothing. The embodiment of gaijin moments in my opinion

The worst part is that the missile launcher is apparently remote controlled in game, which means you can't just spray it with the coax and kill it
well you can still try to blow up the launcher, but yeah not having a gunner to kill really steps up the rat factor
Since Amx-10 RC is going to see some actions on the easter front, now it might be good idea to show how it plays in game.

Smol tanks are always a joy to play, just chilling in one spot hidden in some random scenery and one tapping overzelous heavies and MBT's that don't care to look for such a small target.

i especially love the asu 57 for all the stupid spots it can completely hide in that you normally dont think about since a tank's turret would stick out there. it has a mean gun for its size and tier

Play the Type 62 its probably one of the finest light tanks at its tier. Main the APCBC and have the HEAT-FS selected just in case.

Can we see you play the Chinese M8 LAC? That thing is monstrous at 1.0 with its .50 cal and main gun. Some of my best games came from using the M8.

@@drmaulana2600 absolutely. My favourite is when I half ass a shot and usually I’d be screwed. BUT .50 GOES BRRRRTTTT. Oh my god the number of times I’ve struck one tank and another appears and I just hit my space bar and it just deletes. One of my personal favourites and why I want more armoured cars in the game. Most kills I got was 12 or 14

May I suggest the Vickers Mk.3 at 8.7? I've been having fun uptiering it and bringing along a Scimitar so I can squad with a friend who bought the Rooikat, and it's surprisingly good, even with the garbage APDS stock round.
