@@maribelsosa186 Yes it did work, however it made the area lighter than the surrounding pavement. That is no problem unless it is in a place with satin smooth cement and you want it all to look perfect. In my particular area I will take the lighter color over oil stains any day.

My recommendation is to pour the cat litter on the oil spot on the concrete take a medium stiff bristle brush or toothbrush pour .And then I ran water from a garden hose onto the spot and keep rubbing the cut the kitty litter back-and-forth until the spot disappears.

It won't look scratched but yes sometimes there is residual oil that is too deep for the kitty litter to absorb. Since oil is lighter than water you can wet the spot down and reapply the kitty litter if anymore oil comes to the surface. Or, you can heat the spot with a heat lamp for 12 hours and wipe up the oil with a rag then do the kitty litter treatment again.

Best thing I ever tried was to put down liquid clothes detergent, scrub it in with an old plastic bristle brush and the oil absorbent on top and grind it in with your foot and then leave it for a few days. Got to give it time to work.

Kitty litter is bentonite clay so when it gets wet it turns into mud. You should sweep up the kitty litter afterwards because the oil has been absorbed into the kitty litter. Some people put it in a dry lidded container for reuse. The effect is the same as that of a rag. Wipe up some oil with a rag than put it in water and some of it will leach out and rise to the surface.

While I admit that I regret not washing off the dust as several have said, to be honest it was a spur of the moment thing and I have better things to do that hoax the world regarding oil stains and brick dust. This works I have used dirt from the road and let it sit then brush it off and then just dust it off. Removes a lot

Kitty litter/floor dry is bentonite clay and absorbs any liquids quickly. Wetting it makes it less effective.
