Bologna is the BEST. We are lucky enough to visit there every couple of months, (it is now our second home). The food is great, the people so friendly and as a base for a stay in Italy it cannot be beat. 20 minutes from the airport and then from the railway station you can catch the bullet trains that take you to Florence in half and hour and Venice in an hour and three quarters. Viva Bologna

Bologna is a spectacular and incredibly beautiful place. The richness of the history, the arts & sciences, the food...all not to be missed!
Bologna is still extremely underrated. Especially at night. I had a blast.
please dont tell to many , the planes are becomming fuller and fuller and prices go upp. ....haha . i was there 3 years ago, 1 time, now i have been there 4 times .

Bologna is amazing! The history. The lively culture. The food! I visited in October (my 3rd time) and the city has boomed with tourists. Bellisimo città.
Bologna is not on the touristy paths but it’s totally worthy a visit!
The only problem with Bologna, is that Italy has already so many other gorgeous cities, but in any other country, it would be a must-see and no one would skip it!
What's incredible is that if you go to Italy because of the food the FIRST place you should go is Bologna.

I loved Bologna, the city, its monuments, its people...the porticos make the difference from other cities in Italy, at the same time they are testimonies of the events that take place below them...my visit was only 4 days, so I had a very good sample of the city, I would like to go back!

Saresti la benvenuta. Centro e musei li fai in 2-3 giorni. Ti sconsiglio la domenica (molti negozi tipici chiusi- chiedi della zona del quadrilatero -). Non cercare gli spaghetti alla bolognese: a Bologna non esistono. Il mercato cittadino dello shopping (p.zza VIII agosto) c'è il venerdì.

In Bologna it is fashionable to fine foreigners who visit the city by car. the fines are 92 euros and if you do not pay in 6 days costs 230 euros. the problem that in a lapse of three hours you get up to 4 fines. it's a shame but they are taking advantage of the visitors

What drug are you on? You get fined only if you drive thru the reserved bus lane (clearly painted in orange) - same as every city in the world. What do you expect? A cookie?
You get fines if you enter with car in some areas of the city center, in certain time slots, which are clearly signaled and reserved to public transports, residents or others; or, you get fines if you don't pay for the parking. And, however, visiting such a small city (the city center, at least) by car has definitely no sense. We all move throu the center mainly by feet, bus or bike.
