I left my beloved city almost 3 years ago and watching this video makes me really proud of what it's becoming.
Milan is a great city to discover. It's not easy to like as some other places in Europe, but this city can be really fascinating. You have to walk through the center by night. Everyone should see Milan.
Alessandro Steinhart I would say go to a soccer game but Milan hasn't been good as of late, so I think I would go west to Turin and watch the old lady.
The best city-center in Europe (Duomo and square, Galleria, LaScala, "Fashion-Quadrilater", etc.), modern transport network, city of real Class and Style, superb night-life, very high-level bar and restaurants. Milano have everythig: art, design, fashion, business, history, dynamism, creativity. A real unique center in the World. Point
+36flamingo63 Venice has a much nicer city center... it is completely isolated from cars and is very well preserved from it's original state in the Medieval ages and Renaissance.
+Ivan & Fritz Venice is unique. I was talking about "normal" cities; Venice dont have some of the 7 characteristics I have mentioned above
Interstellar Lapis & the CCCP Venice is dead . Period . There's maybe 1/30th of what you can see and do in Milan .... And frankly the architecture is unique, but pretty much the same ..;)
@@Ekphrasys duh no, on an artistic and cultural point of view the center of Venice is way more rich than Milan. The sheer number of monumental churches, palaces and museums of Venice is simply astounding.
@@damianolanzoni9583 yes of course. MILAN was part of the Venetian Republic to a certain extent and always admired "la serenissima", like everybody else in Europe .
Very Few people know that in Milan there are two among the oldest Churches in the world. Sant'ambrogio that literally Dwarfs Duomo when you talk about History (where the last Great Roman General is Buried) and San Simpliciano. They date back to fourth century.... And there is a lot more to see of the gigantic roman circus than the original one in Rome...
Visiting Milan in a few days!! Excited to be in Italy for the first time!
Milan l'è un Gran Milan
marco ocram l'è ON gran Milan ;)
Hello i don't want to judge, but actually the translation at 4:50 is wrong! He clearly says 250 Years not 350 ;)
Cant wait to move to Milan this year and literally living the fashion life!
How's your Milan life going?
I live in Milan and in the last 8-10 it is getting better!
Milano...
Un sogno...

Di grazia...
Un alone di magia...

Even if your not interested in fashion you can feel it you can sense it. It’s very true every time I walked around in quadrilatero della moda and some other streets in Milano I feel and sense fashion.
I love this series :)

Art, gothic, medieval age and +2000 years of history but also 200 years in the future...
A lot of secrets to discover... For a week end or a week trip Florence, Venice or other famous city are perfect but Milano is for the life..
I miss the Great Milano.
WRONG. IN ITALY WE DON'T LIVE FOR FOOD AS IN USA. WE LIVE FOR OUR DAILY LIFE.
A melhor cidade que conheço, sem dúvida. E olhe que a concorrência é grande. Lá me senti totalmente ambientado à vida da cidade. E você nunca sentirá tédio.
...bellissimi tutti i muri imbrattati..
A trip to Milan without visiting the cathedral or seeing the last supper painting?
Or without a good Risotto alla Milanese!
mario siaven just got back to the UK from a short trip to Milan. Tried the Risotto, very thick, full of butter but quite nice.
W MILANO!!!!
Pinacoteca di Brera??
Lol, came here for the Kiefer sculptures and they don't even mention his name.
Any native Milanese want to suggest some good places to eat while in Milan?
+crashingxhearts everywhere you can eat good quality food here.
Luini's "panzerotti", close to the Duomo, a must try! And also the restaurant Trattoria Masuelli, they make some excellent "risotto alla milanese".
Anonymous Lurker you can taste awesome panzerotti at luini restaurant Next to the duomo!

I live in Milan.
4:47 The man says 250 while the subtitles read 350.
franz 14 yeah they mentioned the correction in the video description
Oh you're right, thanks
I think my dad is part Geat. I think Geats are Italian and Greek people who live in Italy. I think Milan is the city to shop. I think I am Singaporeon and Myanma. My dad is Gujarati, Punjabi, Bactrian and Myanma. My mom is Yunnan Chinese and Myanma. I think my Geat relative married a Bactrian female.
what?
Are u ok ?
Milan is to good Americans will just get depressed visiting this gem of Europe
then you will realize your American
*smiles good luck
Caro New York Times, ti aspettiamo a Bari
Really creepy. Not a word about art, architecture, culture, for all of which Milan is important. Instead, a series of bad advertisings of places never-heard-about (I've been living in the city since my birth, 60 years ago).
MILANO CITTA' DI SAN. FLORYN RYCCY.

She never sat beside me so ×
come to naples
You don't need to go there, you have already there if you happen to live in one of those regions: Emilia-Lombardy-Piedmont-Veneto
too much grafitti
Overpopulated, expensive and dirty
Europe is getting older.
The walls need to be cleaned from that disgusting graffiti.
Like the 30th best city in Europe...clearly a city in decline.
Milan isn't in decline at all! Do your research. Milan is the fifth richer city metropolitan area in Europe by GDP and the 1st in Europe. Once Brexit will take place in April 2019 many banks institutions want to move to Milan due to its city state free from italian bureacracy such as Goldman Saachs, J.P Morgan etc
Carl Jung this is a big and incredible ignorance !!!
Why should i visit Milano? Tags and graffiti everywhere...
Scott Wolcott you are so stupid....
Scott Wolcott like in every other city in the world
Best thing in Milan is the train that takes you to Rome... Enjoy the fog!
MarcoPiperr Envy ;)
Best thing in Milan is not going to rome. To see "munnezza"...
Milan is not the real Italy! I'm so sorry to say that because I love my whole country (Milan as well) but I'm so sad to see how Milan wants to copy "American - londoner" style with many skycrapers and plenty of high level bars... How much I like the "real" Italy where the flats don't rich more then 6 floors and the stylelife is just like it was ages ago!! Guys if you really want to see the real italian lifestyle forget about Milan and go explore our nice villages and towns.
Greetings from Sicily!
