No kidding man. This looks like a promotional video from some pro field fixer. We had shovels, hand tools, sometimes a golf cart worked so we could use that to drag the field. Thanks for 20 years of service 👊🏽
That's awesome, when you have money and equipment like that at your disposal... We used measure tools, twine, weed eater s and tillers....and lots of love from our volunteers
You are in the same boat as most and we commend you for doing what it takes to take care of your field. The folks that take care of the field after we did the renovation are very similar is tools and resources however. It is possible to greatly improve and take care of a field like this with more limited resources.
Hey I love baseball so I want to thank you for creating another beautiful ball field that kids and adults could use because nobody saw the value in that field until you did something
Always depressing to see a baseball field all overgrown and clearly not used in years. Overall good job. But the batters box and pitchers mound should be dug out and lay clay brinks down. The way they did it in this video there will be huge holes after just a few games in the batters box, in front of the rubber, and where the pitcher lands.
Hey Matt, thank you for the feedback. For those wear areas you are referring to, we do make our own bricks for what you are talking about. However, our DuraPitch clay used in this project holds up very well to the abuse too.
The asphalt is usually the best option as it is made sure it is as free of debris as possible. Putting the mix in the grass or gravel often leads to much more debris. Our operators are very good with the machines to minimize excess debris.
Building a personal small one for a customer here soon. My first one in my business. Ive heard different mixture ratios for the infield dirt. Clay base with little sand and brick milling..?? Anyone git some input or wisdom on that??

To bad they can’t do a field for free… we have kids getting hurt and leaving our program In Monroeville Pennsylvania because the field is garbage and the municipality refuses to fix it.. such an eye sore especially when it’s in the community park.. what a shame
We are sorry to hear about the safety issues going on at your field just down the road from DuraEdge HQ. Feel free to give us a call as there are always some options even if the budget is very small.
whats cool is that it only took them 5 min to fix it
Ikr
Wow
I’m so proud no one missed the joke
You guys are so stupid it didn’t take him 5 minutes,
It took them 5 minutes and 28 seconds
@Dylan Arias ur slow
Left the warning track lookin like that though? Common man, give the outfielders some love too.
@@MC-24 lol you're not wrong. At least here in Florida we have really nice grass fields because we don't have snow 😂
IDK why they didnt do that
@@graysonschrock3709 read the title of the video
They got hired to do a job. I'm guessing if it was something the people who paid them wanted they'd have done it.
I love how much love and care they gave the infield and no one thought about fixing the warning track
or the bullpens😭
We can definitely do both, unfortunately, those weren't in the scope of work for this job.
I wished the baseball field at my high school would look that nice. Clean, sharp, prestine, precise and on-point.

Wish I had a high school in high school.
I was lucky. I’m from the cape, so I grew up playing on the Cape Cod Baseball League fields.
Thank you! We are fortunate to have some of the best doing our ballfield construction and renovations.

You know that new dirt is great fro sliding
It's amazing. No joke.
It's actually brick dust
Yeah and won’t cut your leg through your sliders like my field
There is no “new” dirt. All dirt is the same age. 😉
I did this kind of work for more than 20 yrs I wish we had it that easy

I am a heavy equipment operator. This is the very first time I have ever seen a mini motor grader/road grader
Beautiful transformation and a beautiful field. I’ve played baseball since I was 4 and absolutely love the sport.
Thank you David!

Great job Guys hope to see you all in Savannah next month
I believe this is Butler Area High School in Butler, Pennsylvania. Not a far drive from DuraEdge location. Great work!
I was trying to look for the location by pausing where it showed the scoreboard. Thx for saving my time
You are correct Brian. Thank you!
Absolutely pristine
Our guys take pride in what they do. Thank you.

Wow beautiful job, way to go

Nice. It only took them around 5 minutes to do it. Good job.
Nice edits!
Dunnno who the hell you guys are but your marketing department needs a raise. Nice work on the vid

Either 2nd base or the mound are off just slightly
Gorgeous
Wow!!

Thank you! Our Homefield crew do excellent work.

awe, i miss my groundskeeping days lol.
the stadiums in Mexico are upside down, the grass dries up and everything becomes desert-like hahahh
We have seen the same issue in the SW in general and have figured out some ways to work around that issue. Give us a call 866-867-0052.
You guys should go to the fields in tehachapi California

That dirt looks noice
Why thank you!
I am Head Groundsman so I know the hard work we have to put into our fields. Looks great, where can I find that top dresser hopper?
Stop lying you're just a groundsman
Really enjoyed the video but wish the color saturation wasn't completely blown out. You ruin a lot of detail when the brightness is set way too high.
What about the warning track?
Nicely done. Looks good. I’d love to play on this
Thank you!
Plz do the dugouts
How did the infield get so full of grass and weeds but not the warning track?
Always depressing to see a baseball field all overgrown and clearly not used in years. Overall good job. But the batters box and pitchers mound should be dug out and lay clay brinks down. The way they did it in this video there will be huge holes after just a few games in the batters box, in front of the rubber, and where the pitcher lands.
Those areas were packed and compacted with the same material used to make clay bricks.

go to wayne hills jv field, shit is an grass infield
If you build it they will come
Im curious as why they dumped the mix on the asphalt...they must not be worried about debris, especially from the bucket scraping the ground
The asphalt is usually the best option as it is made sure it is as free of debris as possible. Putting the mix in the grass or gravel often leads to much more debris. Our operators are very good with the machines to minimize excess debris.

Is there different soil in the batter boxes and catcher spot?
Those areas would use the same clay to build out since they are such heavy wear areas.
Why the pink though?
Fix the warning track😭
How many tons of infield was brought in for this renovation?
I can’t remember how much but I saw they brought it from the sugondese factory
I believe this one was 150 tons of DuraEdge Classic.
Play Ball!
you forgot the warning track
Infield restoration
INFEILD restoration not out Felix
Ok as a coach That is currently looking at having a few fields redone how much does this cost?
20k
Hey Jax, give us a call at 866-867-0052 and we can discuss what all you would need done to get an accurate quote.
How much??
Depending on the scope of the project, it is usually less than $30k.
Can you guys come to my school please lol

$100?????
