Originally Recorded 8/12/2017
The original plan was to record the Mod 3012 at VU with the county EMA. Unfortunately, there were workers on the roof of the siren, so we promptly changed locations. The sirens would also have to be tripped individually (which is what a lot of that beeping is in case you're wondering). We then drove out to this 2T22 on the southwestern part of town. This one used to be mounted on top of the Sav-a-lot, but the EMA has since installed it atop a pole. From this location you can hear a myriad of other 2T22s. The ambience was great, especially the Vigo 2T22B. That one was the loudest (besides this one of course) and could send chills down anyone's spine on a warning. This one was fun as well, and it was great meeting Chance with the EMA once again.
Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!

Wow that ambiance was absolutely amazing. I always find that 2T22Bs have a sound that is very eerie.
ChicagoSirens even creepier, the blocked intake on the single phase one in the distance.
Thanks! They do sound super eerie. I wouldn't want to hear it during a storm.
DSRX100 I love your vids. Just so you know My fav sirens are FS:thunderbolt 1003 ASC:T-128 Whelen: wps 4004
ChicagoSirens I live in Vincennes I love these sirens
There was a funnel cloud over Vincennes University in 2010 and the sirens went off, no warning at all, I wasn't there but there are some videos of the event
Great video and awesome siren ambience! That’s how Newberry County, SC sirens are weekly tested, except Newberry Co. runs full 3 minute test (they don’t send cancel tones).
Great video! Do you know the frequency for the EMA central dispatch?
Damn, those 2T22B's sound like Carters.
That's an interesting testing sequence.
Tigers9596 they normally don’t do that, they just did it like that on that day because they couldn’t test them all.
The one by Dairy Queen at the Courthouse needs worked on it does not sound good
Interesting how they do individual sirens
Tfw you pause the video but you still hear the sound
Nice Catch! by the way, what editing software do you use? its very impressive.
SlayerGaming_TV my guess is premier elements but I can’t be sure.
I just got the notification Lol
Why do they activate them one at a time?
1:44 The 2T22B almost sounds like a Carters airraid siren from WWII Britain.
I know
yes
This is what I'm talking about imma like this one 2T22A
@ DSRX100 I wonder why on top of save a lot, makes me wonder if the building used to be something else
Huh, what a unique system. Turns out they test by SIREN.
Lac-qui-Parle County over here activates their sirens by city for Monday night pager tests. First it starts witb Dawson's Vortex and 2001-DC (which I just found), then it heads over to Boyd (?), then my town, Madison's SRN, then likely a very old siren, a decot or Erick maybe, in Bellingham.
Four sirens both sirens are one mile away from this on but the third one is close from this on it’s 0.67 away
My local fire station had one of these growing up. Not sure if it was the exact same model, but it was a similar design being a double-decker array. I'd hear it go off on a weekly basis. Truth be told if it wasn't for that siren, or the Three Mile Island sirens that decorated my hometown I'd probably never get interest in these beauties.
Nice video. I still wonder what happened to that 2T22B in vincennes on top of that school you recorded a few years ago since you haven't been out to record it in a while
Doh I'm an idiot I just heard that siren in the video nevermind.
I want to find a decommissioned 2t22 and make a planter out of it ... is that weird?
Do not
That a healthy 2T22. Could use some new paint, but I like it.
It's actually a new siren, they just installed it within the last year or two
Whats the beep i keep hearing?
Why are they tested one by one and not the whole network in one time?
Notice how people like me in the Tornado Simulator 2 Community on ROBLOX love the eeirie sound of this siren. If only Alex would have had the dispatch sound on it for dialing and the Police and Storm Chaser team would be able to sound the sirens that would be amazing AF!!
Oh so they test each and every siren one at a time I guess anyways what were those Sirens that I heard in the background other than this federal signal
Only in this instance did they test each siren individually. These are usually activated by a group call tone.
Why does the title say the siren is a 2T22A but the DTMF string that activated it is for a 2T22B?
George Munks Fire alarms and trainspotting Just a typo. It's a 2T22A.
OK
Why did it cancel so many times? i mean, 2, 3 maybe sirens activated but not this one, weird.
The EMA had to set the sirens off individually, so each siren in Vincennes was activated 30 seconds at a time. They couldn't activate them all at once due to workers near one of the sirens.
Hi
Blocked bottom intake?
If you're talking about the one downtown then, yes. That one has a blocked intake. The main siren here though is completely fine.
Why does the 2t22b in downtown sound like that?
I think something is blocking the intake.
Because its far away from there
What's the difference between a 2t22 and a 2t22A?
A 2T22A is three phase while a 2T22B is single phase. Whenever someone's not sure what phase it is, they just call it a 2T22.
DSRX100 oh ok
Why are they testing one at a time?
It's in the description. They didn't want to set off this one siren due to people working near it, so they had to trip each one individually and skip that one.
It not working what
1:44
Play a loud rain sound along this mark of this video and you will get a sense of how eerie a 2T22B can sound during a storm!
woah holy hell thats creepy
i tried it and WOW
how come they didnt test the sentrys
The Sentrys were tested, I just cut some of it out since it was a very faint ambience. The closest one was tested after this one I believe, but you can't hear it.
That siren by Dairy queen needs worked on still, plz get it fixed
Yeah I've talked to the EMA about it awhile back and they're aware of it. I'm just not sure when it'll get fixed though.
@@DSRX100 Idk if it's fixed yet I haven't been in town to hear it because I live in the country
I can barely hear the 2t22b and the whelen
There is no Whelen here.
The siren at the courthouse needs work it doesn't sound right, I'm from Vincennes so I pay attention to that. On August 12, 2010 a funnel cloud was spotted over Vincennes and the sirens were sounded and people were terrified because Vincennes sits in a valley and tornadoes don't hit here because of it, which I don't believe
Yeah, I think the bottom intake is blocked. I might talk to Chance about it sometime.
whats the difference between a 2t22 and a 3t22
3T22s can do hi-lo
2T22s cannot
How can you tell if it’s a 3T22 or a 2T22 a 3T22 has a solenoid box on side close to the top. So it can make High-low signals a 2T22 cannot do that
i can hear another siren in the distance
You don’t even know if it’s a 3T22 or a 2T22 you have to see the siren first if there’s a solenoid box. If it’s sounding a High-Low signal it’s definitely a 3T22
Indiana has some German stock
You should have said "DTMF Activation (This Siren)." Just saying.
A federal signal does a dtmf :/
anybody notice this video is 420 long
Da Si ReX 100
I recorded this too
No you didn’t
B
