Mine has been the opposite experience. Every game I’m playing with trash teammates. I’m used to playing with Masters and Preds, but I keep playing with noobs that die right off the bat and then complain that I didn’t drop hot and die immediately.
1:00 using the wall as a stepladder is hella smart. Never thought about this.

I've had great teamates for the most part but my opponents are just hyper cracked. I just managed to squeeze out a dubb in gold 1 but for the past 3 days it's been 10th - 7th place finishes and -20 or +10 pts. Valk carried me to gold but it just fell off hard, suprisingly enough its Rampart that gives me the most effect these days. The safety to res anywhere and the pressure of Shiela behind a wall is just unmatched.
It sucks you get punished at top 6 and 7, with 4kills or less kills. Because teams won't fight
Bro fr I'm gold 1 too and end games have been on ALGS time with 7 teams plus near end game I've had luck with lifeline this season
Its mainly teammates that are the problem i have. Not because their bad, its trolls who just fly off map, solo drop, afkers, try to get us killed or loot goblin everything.

That Revenant being the last one reminded me of my match where i was also a Revenant, both teammates down and finding the last two teams. Only diffrence is that i won.
Key word, At high ranks
I solo queued to Pred and stayed there in Season 16, granted it was on console so it wasn’t anything too crazy. But the solo queue experience is weird. Since you know that you’re probably not gonna play with them again it gives you a certain freedom to play how you normally play with your mates or whatever. And you can really pop off in solo queue sometimes, but ultimately it depends on your randoms and how well you stick together. You gotta play like a nucleus, no more than 5-15M from each other. Then spread out accordingly in a fight, and things will go well usually. And then when you LFG, there’s a strange pressure to perform. You see the badges of these players and their possible history but you can’t really grasp how good a player is in one game, which can go horribly wrong sometimes.
My advice? Find a group that you’re really comfortable playing with and that you synergize well with. High level apex has no room for being timid or hesitant, you need to be able to feel free to run whatever play you want because another squad is going to be doing just that. And the squad that strikes first always has the initiative and advantage. It’s very instinct based at the Master/ Pred level, if you truly are at that level of experience and skill. I would never solo queue again to Pred, and I’m currently trying different groups to some success. Solo queue is too inconsistent for success, having one cracked teammate and a really good 3rd that you can have fun and be free with is all you need to climb the ranks boys, good luck. Conduit, Caustic, Bloodhound and Revenant are super OP this season, run at least 2 of those legends at all times boys.
Not me in High Gold that get teammates who run off on their own die, then i Respawn and they do the same and write that i am bad the entire game, and i end up Winning after they leave.

in the intro clip you could've just use voice chat and tell him don't grab the gold helmet
octane looting gold res and helmet when there's a lifeline, Newcastle or etc in the team is peak solo queue experience
Interesting series, we have similar playstyles. One thing I learned when climbing ranks is you need to recognize when your teammate is just the goat and better than you, when I see that I just always back him up and these are some of the easiest wins I ever get.
Yeah i always forget about other teams thats left if they are quiet. And then we push and that other team joins on us.
I sometimes complain being stuck (don’t get me wrong, I really like the comp system and think it is way better then the previous seasons) but seeing gaming merchant who casually drops 20bombs and 4Ks, just being 2 divisions above me, makes me think I’m in the right rank

im stuck at gold 3 never had any good team mates since im in asia region and always get teamed up with sweaty chinese players. i had one chinese friend but he stopped playing
Literally why people had issues with the hidden MMR. Higher level players always being paired with plat and below. After hitting diamond you're literally carrying 2 noobs every game.

I generally play solo because im really new too the game and honestly feel bad for dragging the team down cause i dont have the movement down or know what character I vibe with or what even what weapons are decent. Which is weird cause i dont mind sucking in overwatch 😂
This might be true for US servers, but there's a huge amount of people in EU who don't speak English and the language barrier makes comms way more difficult. A lot of the people I get teamed with barely grasp any English at all
Solo Q has been so much better this season

I’ve always been a solo que warrior. this has to be the best season or top 2 of all seasons I’ve played as far as teammates. though there’s still the nonsense & bs but it’s been nice change of pace. I wonder how much had to do with how bad ranked was last season my least played season)?

I've played in many different servers and each player in different servers has unique characteristics
any NA - It's random, sometimes they get toxic when you don't comm so much but I rarely get really bad teammates
Hongkong/Taiwan - Most of them don't have game sense, they loot so much. This is one of the best server to climb up when you're in a full team.
Singapore - Most of them are very good players, they're good at combat, they're selfish, but not hard looters, not few of them are toxic tho.
Sydney - I didn't have more than 15 matches in this server, but many of them are fun to play with, basically enjoying the game, they're cool.
Frankfurt - they barely comm, unless they had a friend in their team.
Bangladesh - Once they comm, they complain so much. But if they are cool and good players, they comm but don't complain.
Tokyo - Don't play in this server unless you really want to get better and have a really good sense. Every single person in this server makes good comms, high game sense, and good aim. Most of them are cool, but they don't speak english. Have you seen thousand movement players? It's nothing compared to these players.

My randoms aren't the problem it's the three stack preds while I have no coms.
I feel every time I get 9+ kp we just die 5th 😢 unfortunate

Solo queuing was easy until I got to plat 3
Tip: if you want good teammates grind ranked for 5-8 hours a day in the first week and you will get the best teammates you can ask for.

Solo queuing. Currently plat 4. Earlier today was plat 3, then tank to demotion of plat 4. Any tips or strategies to get out of plat 4?
Time to team up if you are stuck solo. Or play Loba and run away to craft banners to extend those top 5 streaks.

I found that solo queuing this season, at least for now, is pretty good rn. A complete 180° from season 19
yeah definitely, its a nice feeling. matchmaking still sucks but its nowhere near as bad.

i’m solo queuing , now in plat 4, quit playing because i keep going up against triple stack preds and masters ever game . with bronze level random teammates
Do I need to become a contest creator to get randoms that can talk before they die? I am currently in D4 and only get randoms that are low plat and play with their low gold duo, dont talk, die without doing a smither of dmg and I am the one losing 80 rp 😢 I like the idea of having matchmaking based on your rp.....if I would at least get one round with mates of similar rp....

Bro I’d leave if my octane took the gold helmet. I enjoy playing with randoms though. I find myself getting frustrated playing with the same teammates especially when I’m just trying to stay alive and get good placement and play smart
solo Q is only easier if you are a very good player , most people depend on there team mates 2 make up for there ability of shooting .

I've had so many Platinum players being toxic to me because they don't know how to pick their fights & blame me for it and leaving.😂 I'm a diamond player & I'm not trying to lose more rp.
so many players don't know how to pick fights. It is a skill that I think takes the longest for players to acquire.

solo q, i do 2-4k dmg and up to 15 kills in ranked, still i get lvl 60 teammates

I'm in Plat 2 on console and am having to face off against full teams of current preds, is that supposed to be happening? Is it just due to my current rank compared to the majority of players? I figured that there would be enough people in diamond by now to let me avoid going against the top players lol. Can any console bros let me know if they are going through this too? Also, have you already started to have to deal with 6 manners? I've ran into a couple already ffs.

Used to be the same way, but I got used to it. You don't really have to talk all the time, only in situations where pinging is just not enough.

I Just carry 2 randoms Witherspoon 0 kilos and Windows the marcha Witherspoon 5 kills
Yh so easy when u get random that hotdrop or rush in the middle of 10 other players so easy its easier to jump and rat again to finally get 1 damn point
If you rush solo Q you have better teammates but harder opponents...if you wait until the final few weeks you get trash teammates but easier lobbies so it's damned if you do, damned if you don't.
not necessarily, its really dependent on how good you are as a player. because if you are able to win early season with good teammates, then you dont need to wait till later in the season because you can win in the harder lobbies. but if you arent the greatest i would wait

Not only that, I feel like when you solo Q, you play against less 3-stacks. There are still some but way less. I literally have a better time climbing right now Solo-Q than playing with my friends who are as skilled, if not more, than I am. Maybe it's just weird luck, though.

@@MikeGrau0hr it might just be that when I solo Q I run at people with no thoughts in my mind, since I can't really talk and get decent strategy. Thing is, my mechanics are good so it often works out fairly well. I just run Horizon and Feed face and go on a kill spree. I almost never win but I often get top 3/2 with a good 4-10 KP

Also you're stating that you're a high rank apex player getting grouped with other high rank players. That's a really huge selection bias.... of course most people have a difference experience than. The math doesn't permit it.

If solos were a thing then we could make this video but don’t ever try to paint soloing as being easier than stacking, ever. Lol. If you only 3 stack the game is on easy mode. If you can’t gain more LP with a stack compared to playing solo you got bigger issues at large..
Thats not right. At certain points, 3stacking is a hell. Not rare after we get clapped 4 times in a row we decide to regain some points solo, then go again. Its more than real
