It’s a 1934 to around 1938 Guitar because of the 14 fret body join and finish. We did a video about the history of these old nationals. Sounds killer and she is amazing though. 🎯
The tone of that guitar and her voice transports one to another place and time .
Yea! Bring on more Sarah!
Wow, what a perfect demo. Sarah offered the fine details of the guitar, like its unique finish, the intangible aspects of its tone and all the details about Normans....and then gave a stellar performance. She is a snowflake, a modern day country blues performer who's uniquely SoCal.
If Robert Johnson was still here today I can hear him say “That’s some mighty fine playing little lady now keep keep on playing while I get some more whiskey”. These resonator’s definetly have a haunting feel to their natural sound that’ll send chills down your bones. These country blues definetly are a rare treat and have such a legendary and lonesome sound to it! Sarah is a natural on the slide and I love hearing her play an old resonator she just clicks with it! Stay safe ya’ll😊😁🙏🏻
I’m blown away, Sara has taken me be back to memories of spending summers at my grandparents home in Indianola, Mississippi and sitting on the front porch listening to the Delta Blues (B.B. King and others) eating tomato sandwiches and cleaning green beans. Thank You for the memories.
double jake. You have a great life and great memories !
I'm blessed to have my Grandfather's 1938 National duolian! Has the wood grain paint scheme on it. Someone said it was a Hawaiian style!
I just love Sarah, she's just a all around beautiful and great musician.
Stop simpin'. Remember you are the prize!
@@chrisscanlon3717 jesse what the fuck are you talking about.

Loved the Sound, loved Sarah's playing! Really awesome job!
Yahoo, beautiful playing
I Love the way Sarah Plays!
Brilliant!!
Love Sarah. Great musician. Knows her stuff. Another great showing by her.
Sarah, you know the thing about the blues is that whole, “It’s more a feeling than any words and musical terms could ever describe,” and for me, your performance here illustrates that more perfectly and completely than words or musical terms could possibly convey. Now, I’m not saying that this is your finest performance, best playing, singing, or anything of the kind. In fact, you’ve played and sang MUCH more difficult, impressive, complicated, etc., etc., pieces of music before, and right here on this channel...but for whatever reason, this one is my favorite of yours so far, and by a long shot. I couldn’t say why, either - you just hit precisely the right song, on precisely the right guitar, in precisely the right tuning, on precisely the right day. Thank you.
Beautiful sound from guitar and Sarah that really takes you to another place and time. It makes me so hopeful for the future when I see young performers singing the blues.
What an awesome guitar! Very loud....and thanks for pointing out the finish on this model. Very cool. Great playing and singing, just a great presentation. I will have to check out more of your videos. God bless!

It's a toss-up on what's more awesome Sarah or that guitar.
Accurate.
It's a tie.
It's the guitar's ghosts.
Love ya' Sarah! I agree more Sarah.
Beautiful Sarah!!!!!
You rawk !!! Great musician!!! Thank you
Two things i love National guards and Sara Rogo. Can't get enuff of her.
Great demo.
OMG, for a guitar store that supposedly knows so much about guitars, and a person who so loves National guitars, you'd think they would know this guitar couldn't possibly be from 1931. It is from 1934 or possibly 1935. This guitar has a 14-fret neck - which if they knew what they were talking about, they would know National only started making 14-fret neck Nationals from 1934 onwards.
The Duco looks in great condition though. I have two 14-fret Duolians, just like that, in as good condition.
Come on guys, you should know this stuff, yeah ??
I completely agree…..their knowledge of Nationals is horrible, I own a 31 Duolian and Polychrome Triolian, both of which I love, but it is frustrating watching them time and time again not getting the details right..
Sarah is excellent!!!
Beautiful as always Sarah
Meravigliosa!!!😊
so much soul rock on Sarah
yeah !
Sounding real good. Rolled f hole didn't start happening til '33' I believe. That finish is in great shape
I love the resonator guitar. Such a soulful sound. You do that guitar justice!! Norm ought to give you that guitar! What do you think? Ha!!
You have the blues, Sarah 👏👏👏👏👏
Wow what a nice tone on that guitar
Great job. Really like the sound of this Duolan. Like to hear Justin Johnson play this.
My dream guitar
that was beautifull...
As I listen, I get a mental image of a chain gang working along side a dusty road in the deep South under a hot sun. Loved it Sarah! Great job!
I love it. Amazing. And I think I fell in love.
Sara Rogo you go girl and get the fame because your a talented person that sings sweet!
These guitars have the spirit of blues in them. Unbelievable.
Pretty cool
For someone who claims to be a National guitar fan, I'm surprised she (or the store) doesn't realize that it's not a 1931. National didn't start selling 14 fret guitars till after '34.
It's a '34 or 5, '36 on up came with a solid headstock, that's the one i have.
great
Sarah has a diverse range of styles that she is deadly good at in her kit bag.
Sarah Rogo ROCKS, The best of the best, very well done Sarah.
I just wish that I did not live 3700 miles away, because I would
sell my soul to be able to play music with you. See ya Jen Barry M
This finish is used on knife making also. The song chosen is point on.
Beautiful bones. Blues On....💙
You rock girl .... 👍👍👍
You're awesome 😎
Sounds soooo swampy. Awesome
What an outstanding talent , a great guitar player , great slide player , great voice , very entertaining , I luv these old dobros , what a very cool sound , especially under the slide , this is a guitar made for Sarah Rogo , she can play many styles but this is her game right here , luved it , we need to see more of Sarah , thanks guys.
She’s so cool 😎
Loovly .......👍
Man, she's fucking awesome
You voice is perfect
👍🏻
great, just as I was looking at resonators... :-)
there's something about the sound that you just don't get with any other acoustic
I'm not sure who can give this a thumbs down, but I hope they play a mean pinball !!!!
Great Bukka White tone.
Incredible volume. I can that music as theme song to a movie about armed caravans of citizens going after the bad guys.
she is grand !
that was sweet'''''
Darn, how much is it ? I want it !!!
Wow. She's not only super hot but a super hot slide player -- very clean, clear playing too. I'm not normally into the National resonator thing, personally, but that one does really resonate -- instead of the dry, earthy plunk one hears on most resonator vids this one sounds colorful. The playing helps, of course. Didn't know about the Jack Frost look on the guitar coatings. Peace.
cool ..more ...when's the duet with Joe !
She's good🐈🎶
Duke Duke Duke of duco Duolian... Sarah you is gettin' real powerful and ya made
that old piece bark an' meow (!)
The Duolian was the cheapest model National offered and the Duco finish was also the cheapest- I could be wrong, but I believe the cost was originally around $35.. It is also NOT a 1931- I have a '31, and the neck joins at the 12th fret. More of norms 'facts'.
