Well, I think he just dropped the mic. I am speechless after seeing that performance. He held the guitar as if he was holding a woman. He was listening, caressing, caring and giving her strength. What a powerful performance. Thank you!!
Ooh yeah, btw, whats this piece called..., why are you here..Few can play this, let alone in this setting. Just give the non John Willians the same respect this guy deserves it, especially as he didn’t grew up in a free country.
A fine performance, but I would have preferred it slower. Even Narcisso Yepes doesn't play this piece so fast - for one thing it spoilt the clarity of the section played on harmonics.
@@bgilley8199 Yes, most players replay over their mistakes on recordings but even so they don't make many judging by their live performances. Watching this guy made me think of how Segovia would have played it. I can't remember this done by Segovia but he probably did. I'll have to search for it. @promerops fast is not necessarily better. In his master classes Segovia would often stop a student due to speed even with excellent execution. He would just stop them and say, "No", then play in the tempo he wanted the student to emulate. But I have no idea what the tempo is for this piece.
@@trouts4444 I'm saying he probably played it faster than normal due to the context of where he's playing and who he's playing to in this situation. It's an extremely informal setting and he only had a few minutes to play, plus the vast majority of the audience that will see this probably isn't well schooled on this type of music, and I'm sure he knows that. Segovia had the benifit of having captive audiences almost anytime he played in public, so yeah he could afford to play every piece on his own terms exactly how he wanted to play it.
@@bgilley8199 No way to tell for sure what he was doing with speed. The harmonics were messed up but as you mention the playing situation was not the best for a clean performance. Most performers have a routing before playing at a high level. He probably drove there, talked with the people there, looked and played a few guitars then played. I did not mean to be critical of what you @b gilley or @promerops wrote. Sorry if that is the way it came across.
@@trouts4444 not at all, and I agree that Segovia would almost certainly have made the same critique you make about this performance, he'd want the player to slow down to capture the intended feel of the piece, and to make sure the musicality of the harmonics etc didn't get lost due to speed. Nothing wrong with constructive criticism. I just wanted to point out that the situation wasn't entirely favorable for the player. Not to mention some players really struggle if they are playing an unfamiliar guitar, although for someone of this player's ability that probably didn't come in to play too much.
Played way too fast with many liberties taken with the original score. Playing super fast doesn't mean that equates to playing well. Listen to Pepe Romero playing this, if you want to compare. This is quick and not very musically correct. BTW, why not take the sale tag off while filming.
I’m very proud to see my guitar teacher (in Iran) on here playing mindblowing stuff :)
If you’re reading this Mr. Poursaee, ممنون بابت زحماتتون :)

players wonderful but need to slow down and clear the tunes
Fast,,fast, ,fast..
Not bad. Slow down a bit and nail it.
Jeremy Anderson I hope you're being sarcastic.

promerops he's just playing a one off in a store, not recording or playing a concert.
