    Couple good mentions of realmstone. In Ghyran, the Greywater Fastness uses realmstone for their weapons and factories, which causes a lot of conflict with local Sylv. Also realmstone is used to build Slaanesh's prison.

    Excellent topic! Maybe i'm wrong but i remember that sandgrave (death realmstone) can be carried only one grain at time-and if a dead can find his personal grain in the desert of gravesand he could be free from mortality forever-or at least i think i've read something similar, those are surely powerful resources! I wonder what the others's qualities can be. Great work as usually mister, until next video :D

    Actually from some stuff I have read about the Free Cities (specifically Hammerhal and Greywater Fastness) the Free Peoples and Order as a whole is using realmstone as a type of power source. It is mentioned to be utilized to power Greywater Fastness rapid expansion (not specially how but likly powering arcane machinery). And hammerhal is mentioned to be using it to power arcane machinery, defenses, etc I believe. Though its just not as apparent on infantry units compared to the skaven who are using it on things like guns and warmachines.

    At the end of the first session of the first filler-arc (Session 3) in the campaign me and the Soulbound group I'm with are doing Shadows in the Mist the Binding my Witch Aelf character, the Amythyst Battlemage, the Sylvaneth Alchemist, and the Seraphon Saurus protected a prospector from a human sorcerer/summoner who was a Champion of Tzeenich and his various demonic minions including a Chaos Spawn and after successfully protecting the prospector my Witch Aelf character followed DoK tradition and claimed the Champion of Tzeenich's Varanite Sword as a spoil of battle and gained it as a new weapon and the other members of the Binding weren't to thrilled with this decision and now have a another reason to be cautious around her, and my character was like "I'm not using it to spill blood in the name of the Chaos Gods, I'm using it to spill the blood of those who worship the Chaos Gods, those worship Nagash, and other wicked individuals in the name of Khaine so technically it's no longer a weapon of Chaos but a weapon of Khaine." And the Sylvaneth member stated "Yeah no that doesn't make us feel any safer about the thought of you wielding a sword forged out of Varanite."

    Here's a thought - realmstone is made from the crystallisation of raw magic into physical form - it's always been that way, even back in the Old World when there was just warpstone. But the Old World also had other forms of magic than just the eight main colours - Waagh! magic, Ice magic, whatever it was that ogres used... Unless these were just off-shoots of the eight main colours, could it be possible they're still around? Not enough to form realms maybe, but enough to form realmstone, perhaps with outside intervention? Be interesting if there were potentially more forms of realmstone than there are realms!

    Great video, but I'm left wondering about the specifics of what certain Realmstones can do. I know many of them have yet to be comprehensively detailed, but I'm a little bummed there was no mention of how Celestium (the Realmstone of Azyr) can offer glimpses into the future and comes to the other Realms via comets, like those seen in the dreaded Starstrike battleplan or the Stormcast Eternals' Everblaze Comet endless spell.
    I wonder what one can do with Ghyranite Realmstone and how much the Sacrosanct Chamber of Stormcast are looking to other Realms besides Shyish and the city of Shadespire for answers to their Reforging problem. Regardless, I'm thinking about possibly incorporating it into an upcoming campaign. Perhaps Realmstone of Ghur was seized by a burgeoning Khronate cult and fashioned into an artifact that drove others nearby into a frenzied, survivalist rage, prompting the central conflict. Or part of a campaign in the Realm of Shadow being influenced by an army's ability to seize some of Hysh's glowing Realmstone to cancel out the night-fighting rules of Ulgu. To me, its these other functions of specific Realmstones that make them interesting, and I wish we had a more defined look at them. But I tend to wonder how much GW intends for us to fill in with their lore sometimes...

      I make my own lore. The ghosts dwarfs in my army able to craft Grave Runes using Gravesand. These are runes are used specifically against ethereal enemies. Such as the Rune of Endings, allowing duardin weapons to strike ethereal foes as if they has flesh still. Also the Rune of Containment which acts as a prison, binding foul sprits to an area.

    • @kenziemckeever1605
      @kenziemckeever1605 Před 5 lety

      @@oathstoned3414 I think that's going to be the jam with how I handle Realmstone as well. While my Sacrosanct Chamber is currently based out of Ghyran, the Lord-Arcanums leading them are from Hysh and Ulgu respectively. I think they could rep their heritage through creative use of their respective Realmstones. For instance, the Lord-Arcanum on Dracoline, being a very active political figure and public speaker, could use some Hysh Realmstone to give her some sort of heavenly aura, similar to an Iron Halo from 40K.
