    I would love to see a Godbeast Cult army. I could see barbarians devoted to worshiping a Godbeast being an interesting faction in either the Destruction or Order Alliances. Wild tribesmen and shamans devoted to something other than Chaos would be great.

    I'm almost happy that Archaon is less up front in the Soul Wars/ Malign Portents timeline. He's just insane, like everytime he is somewhere there is just so little hope! I mean Nagash is scary, but he didn't destroy a whole world!

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  Před 6 lety +6

      I agree. When he's in an area he really dominates the scene, just like he should. But you have to use that element sparingly so we dont get tired of him or minimize his impact

    I now start realising why older warhammer fans take lore so seriously. It is awesome, thanks man

      To be honest it's a little over whelming with all the change but went to my local Games Work Shop in Hobart (Australia) and learning again from scratch. The staff member there actually referred me to start following you. So can thank them I am now aware of you haha

    Even though I don't play Warhammer. I do enjoy reading and listening to fantasy. Your videos on Age of Sigmar are super entertaining. Thank you for your contribution to the GW community you deserve a lot more subscribers, keep up the good work my friend!

    I love your channel so much. This series in particular. I do have a question about the overall timeline though. How many years do you think the Realmgate Wars span? 5 years? A decade? Less? More? I get that time is sort of meant to be vague, but it seems like GW is allowing for a little more certainty in their setting now and I'm just wondering what your sense is of the general timeline is.

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  Před 6 lety +5

      Hard to say, though I dont think a few months is out of the question. We dont have a definitive timeline, but from the black library books we know that the trek in ghyran of getting the first realmgate, finding alarielle and running away with her would have taken a few weeks in total. Temper that with the fact that the entire campaign was designed to happen fast and catch chaos unaware, I cant image it took much longer then a month or two. That opinion, but makes sense to me.
      Thank you so much for watching :)

    Just now watching this amazing summary of the lore. I can’t believe I didn’t discover this earlier. Truly, nice work. Do the subsequent videos pick up with later books (e.g., Warbeast and the books based in Shyish)? Keep up the good work.

    I wonder if the celestant prime could pose any kind of threat to Archaon. I highly doubt he could kill him, especially if Dorghar was with him. But if Archaon was by himself, watching this fight from on high, the celestant prime sees him and recognizes him as a great threat. So he zips to strike Archaon with Ghal maraz, he catches the blow with his shield, and eyes blazing, he prepares to face his new foe. Could the avenging angel of Azyr take on the grand marshal of the apocalypse?

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  Před 5 lety +1

      No idea, but at some point I think we will settle back on chaos being the main threat (Right now its death/Nagash) and I want that showdown to happen!

    So as we already established in fireslayer week. that If Grimnir had not attacked the god beast Vulcatrix, but had insted have a showdown with Bubebolos the mightiest of toads dragons! he would not have turned into Urgold, but would probebly just have been straight up eaten and seased to exist. Thats not even spaculation just fact of death.
    now am i the only one who finds it wierd that Archaon is sooo tought and all, hunting down god beasts and being all like " uuh im the baddest one ever" But he never ever gets the idea or speaks of Goin after Bubebolos??
    Why do you think that is?? hmmmm?

    • @2Tough

      Well since he never really fought we cannot really know his power level. However if he's anything like the other two we've seen he's make a powerful war-engine.

    How fast is this lore moving? It seems that the old world died only a couple of years ago but you mention hundreds of years here. I am lost. I am not a fan of this new lore at all.

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  Před 6 lety +2

      Hi Atom Storm, thank you for watching! To answer your question, these campaigns seem to be pretty far off from one another. Realmgate wars started the story, when it concluded there was a couple hundred year gap to Soul Wars which comes out this Saturday.
