Jolof rice is best I am an Indian and whenever I go to Nigeria for my summer vacation I always tell our maid to cook it we have it with boil egg and coke it is best❤️
Glad you liked the rice, also glad that you made it correctly. Because usually I’m used to people making things from different cultures incorrectly then saying that it tastes bad despite the fact that they made it wrong.
For anyone planning to make this, its usually a good idea to cook the rice with the sauce. This prevents the rice from getting soft and sticky and prevents the rice from getting burnt before the it absorbs the flavour (although for party jollof rice, burning is part of the recipe)
As a Nigerian I can say that you made it quiet well, tbh we usually eat bread and milo or Ovaltine in the morning but more times then not we can also eat "lunch" or "dinner" foods for breakfast

I strongly suggest using a larger amount of a less spicy pepper. Super hot peppers only offer capsaicin as flavor; the less hot ones offer a much broader flavor in addition to capsaicin.
I lived in west Africa for two years, and since being back in the US, I haven’t been able to make jollof as well as I had there. It’s literally the best, so good.
As someone who's homeless, for sure this stuff is good! They serve it often as the only people who come out to feed us are Nigerian. Very kind souls with good hearts. 💕
