  • Replacing the Blower Motor Resistor on a 2007 Ford E350. This resistor is a common A/C system problem. Almost all 4th Gen. Ford E-Series Vans have this resistor, unless a digital climate control system is used.

Hey I have a 2011 my blower motor went out I changed it and it started blowing again but the problem Is it only works on high and blows weak. Also it doesn’t get as cold as the rear. Same problem with the heater function. Low heat and weak blow. Any tips?

Sounds like you have a few different issues... Check your blower motor resistor, check your blower motor switch. As for your hot/cold, weak heat/weak A/C, check for vacuum leaks. Start with checking the functions, Norm A/C and Max A/C first. You should hear a sucking from the passenger floorboard and a flap close on Max A/C. On Norm A/C, it sucks fresh air from in front of the windshield by the wipers. Then test your blend door actuator, A.K.A, blend between hot and cold. If there is an open vaccum leak on any of these actuators, it will affect them all. Each one of these vacuum lines should be color coded to look like wires under and behind the dash, Blue, Yellow, Red, etc. Black comes from under the hood and attaches to the intake. Black is your main vacuum lead, everything else branches out from there. There is also a one-way check valve under the hood. Sometimes they go bad and leak vacuum. If you have any vacuum leak within the A/C or heat control system, it'll do what it wants. Air will blow from the floor, a little out the vents, a little out the defrost. A/C and Heater will be fighting each other because the door won't know what position to be in, open to the heater, or open to the A/C. It'll give you both, a little A/C, a little Heat. But if you have a minor leak, you'll have partial functions from all these features. If you have a major leak, you won't have control over any of these functions. I'd start ruling all that out first.
