Bronchodilators Part 1: Principles of Respiratory Airflow and Development of Selective Drugs

  • With immunomodulation covered, it's time to dive into pharmacology of pulmonary activity. First up is bronchodilators. These address resistance in the bronchus and bronchioles that impede respiration, such as with asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis. This can be achieved through beta-2 adrenocepter agonism and muscarinic receptor antagonism. What are these receptors, what are their endogenous agonists, and how do bronchodilators interact with these receptors?

    B3 is also found in the wall of the bladder, the detrusor muscle, decreasing its contractility. B3 receptors are the target for the drug Mirabegron and is indicated to treat overactive bladder

    Hey, does anybody know any good websites that provide information about the pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, etc. of specific drugs and have a large database(except for Wikipedia)?

    Could you pls make a video about EHS (electromagnetic-hypersensitivity) and 5G?

    • @eatshitlarrypage.3319
      @eatshitlarrypage.3319 Před rokem

      No such thing. 5G uses frequencies within 4.10 * 10^8 Hz to 7.125 * 10^9 Hz and 2.425 * 10^10 GHz to 7.1 * 10 ^ 10 Hz. Visible light, for comparison, is 7.5 * 10^14 Hz to 4.2 * 10^14 THz. If people were sensitive to 5G, just being in a lit room would be overwhelming agony. There are no direct dangers to people from 5G. That being said, there are some other legitimate issues it causes, such as causing interference for water vapor detection methods (used in weather tracking), as well as issues with airplanes. Photons without enough energy to ionize atoms pose no threat.
