Introduction to Verbs in Latin
zhlédnutí 7KPřed 19 hodinami
Let's continue working our way through the parts of speech in Latin. With nouns covered, let's talk about verbs. The inflection for verbs, or conjugation, is very complicated, and dreaded by most students. But don't worry, we aren't going to go too crazy yet, let's just talk about the very basics: person, number, tense, mood, voice, and transitive/intransitive. Let's define these concepts now s...

It's been quite some time since I checked in with flat earthers, those pathetic grifters peddling the dumbest hoax in the history of the human species. But I felt compelled to revisit the subject in order to debunk the fraud who is still regarded as some kind of flat earth messiah, Eric Dubay. Word Order in Latin (Syntax)

With some understanding of phonetics and the parts of speech, we are ready to start looking at simple Latin sentences. But this requires discussing the concept of syntax, or word order. Does Latin have rigorous syntax like in English? It does not! Because of the inflection of words, the role of each word in a sentence is known from its form, and the word order is totally irrelevant. Careful Dave. If you are not precise, they will use it against you. Water will not be arranged equidistantly to the center of the earth. There are significant density variations in the crust and mantle, so the curvature of spacetime isn't the same everywhere. There are actual depressions in the ocean surface and "hills" depending on the undulations of gravity. Earth isn't an exact sphere anyway. But pretty close 😉 I don't understand how you can deal with the disciples of this religion, I wouldn’t have the patience. I noticed some of the reasons they gave were not substantial, and I looked at the author and found Gunter Bechly on Meyer's evolution news website, which you have debunked later in this series. This just goes to show how much Stephen Meyer and Bechly will do to get rid of evidence that contradicts them. As far as I can tell, they made little to no mention of the sterane ratio.

I loved the part where Flat Earth Dave is trying to explain how the Sun should act on the sides of the Earth as it spins through the 24 hour cycle or in relation to the 23 degree tilt. Yes Dave, it actually gets cooler and warmer during sunrises and sunsets, hotter in the day and cooler at night. Everyday. That is exactly how a spinning globe would work, also just like the 23 degree angle of earth changes the seasons. Flat Earth? Not so much. It has nothing to do with how far away the sun is or how close. It's about the depth of atmosphere that filters the sunlight or lets it through. Directly overhead is the shortest distance through atmosphere. Diagonally, substantially more filtering. Sun radiation, heat, UV, is easily filtered. Seasons?? No Dave, it's exactly the same as above. It's not the actual distance from the sun that increases or decreases the temperature you feel in levels of sunlight radiation or summer vs. winter they are the same. It's the depth of atmosphere that sunlight transits through to arrive at your location on the globe. Direct line or diagonally. That's why it's warmer at the equator, colder at the poles. More direct light for more months per year vs. more filtration by atmosphere for most of the year. Thin at Equator, diagonally much thicker at Poles. Warmer, suntan season where sunlight is less filtered. Cooler, no tan season when the light is shining diagonally through the atmosphere, much more filtered much cooler. It's exactly the same at trying to suntan during a setting or rising sun. You can't. It’s also called the UV index. Don’t believe me? Tan during a heavily clouded day? Probably not, UV radiation is Atmosphere filtered.

I've been out of the game for a decade so they may have described more by now or it might not even be a separate species anymore. Things happen. But that he can't understand the importance of dentition in discerning hominins is just another indicator of his complete lack of understanding. There are 3 main areas that are important: locomotion, dentition and brain. I'm betting dude thinks the brain came first.
