If garlic is giving you breath or body odor, add some parsley with it. The chlorophyll in parsley will deodorize you. True fact. It used to be on every plate served in restaurants, for very good reason.

Buy " whole food supplements " Not synthetic which is what most are. There are certifications that vitamin companies live buy. The main stream companies in big box and centrum are not any good. No vitamins with magnesium stearate , calcium carbonate , vitamin C as ascorbic acid are junk. Some good brands are... new chapter, garden of life, Dr Berg has some good ones. Yes confusing. Would it make sense to create a table that is added to when a food is found to combat certain ailments. That way the vast amount of information in videos can be organized into something of a reference that can quickly be used.
Where can I get aged garlic? What is the recommended dose if it’s in tablets? Or what is the recommended quantity if it’s in food. I do OMAD or every 36 hour eating. Is it ok to take during the extended fasts (7 +) days?
Thank You
Black garlic is slightly heated and aged garlic (Heated in 170 Fahrenheit in 30 Days Fermented). The purpose of Heating and Fermented Garlic is to take the intensity out of that strong pungent sulfur smell and taste.
You can do 2-3 cloves.
What do you eat for your OMAD? I had a salad with lettuce, carrots, avocados, ham, bacon, 2 boiled eggs, & cheese & I’m starving within 12 hours.
@@JC-li8kk The longest fast I’ve done was 35 days. I wouldn’t start with anything past 16 to 18 hour fast. Make sure that you’re eating some MCT oil with your meals so you will not feel hunger during your fast. Dr. Berg has plenty of videos on that. If you still eat snacks, start with eliminating snacks first. And gradually work up to one meal a day. I only eat a couple of eggs and very large salad, or steamed brussels sprouts and cauliflower. I don’t feel hunger because my body already used to using a lot less.
@@Verdadeiro hi I'm just reading dr mercola excellent book. Can you tell me what has happened to him. Thank you
Just buy a garlic fermenter and fermented yourself.
Dr Berg, have you ever done a video on people who have high and low BP? Mornings low afternoon hyper tension or high or anything that talks on if one number is normal and one isn’t in the over / under readings - thanks
Yes, he has a few videos on these subjects. Search Dr Berg and your question and you will see a list of videos to watch.
I think I really messed up, I started eating only garlic powder instead of fresh a few years ago, what was I thinking? Big mistake 🤕😞🤔
Checking with your doctor first they going to always choose medication over a natural remedy

hi Dr. Berg, can you tell where to by aged garlic or how to produce it at home ?
Dr. Berg, please how can I make the garlic to be aged??? Thank you for your kind response; would be grateful appreciated.
If garlic is giving you breath or body odor, add some parsley with it. The chlorophyll in parsley will deodorize you. True fact.
It used to be on every plate served in restaurants, for very good reason.
The root cause issue of hypertension is block arteries due to poor diet which consist of sugary food and fried food. Our arteries naturally get blocked over many years as we age.

My mom has been eating black garlic for a long time as an alternative for her health issue. It works wonder. You can easily get it if you are living in Asia. if not just look at asian store or traditional Chinese medicine shop. Don't worry about the taste because it's not smelly at all. You can't smell nor taste the garlic. It becomes mellow and sweet. not sure how effective the tablet compared to the real black garlic. Try looking for the real one first because it's worth it and can last for a long time
Thank you Dr. Berg for the clarification of garlic.😂
Thank you very much, Doctor. Brazilian prayers your way..
Very glad to be of help.
I've heard of aged garlic before but where in the heck do you get it? Or better yet how in the world do you make it this way?

I'm going to be growing garlic this fall. Does it matter whether hard neck or soft neck variety?
There are lots of videos on this.
Im a little confused always thought that if you heat garlic, you lose the potency, and now Im watching that aged garlic is more healthy than raw garlic for blood pressure? little confused I take 2 raw cloves everyday and crush them and wait 10 minutes. Is aged garlic much better? But aged garlic is already heated correct?
I love garlic that is black and crispy. Now I have even more of an excuse to eat the product of my not-so-good cooking skills.
I take kyolic brand aged garlic! The best! I take the candida, digestion formula. Ginger and Garlic are synergistic!
Hello sir , I have a Question which is , sir in today's world there are so many supplements COMPANIES in the market and every company says that there supplements are the best , so how to choose the best and trustworthy company for your supplements and vitamins . Thankyou 🙂👍🙂🙏🙂
Buy " whole food supplements "
Not synthetic which is what most are.
Try to eat real food and cod liver oil for vitamin d, e, and A and the essential fatty acids and take a quality fish oil . I take life extension brand. Hope that helps.
I have never heard of aged garlic. I wish you had covered what it is and how to take it.
Will try to find info.

Normal garlic works well too.
Sure!
magnesium works just fine... and without the odor.

Please note that kyolic aged garlic extract does not contain allicin.
Thank you Dr. Berg!
You are very welcome.
I prefer beetroot salad. That's a great NO booster too.
Question. I was doing OMAD feeling great and losing a lot of weight. I decided to fast longer maybe 24, 48 hours. I went 64 hours with no problems. Everyone got worried so I stopped at 64 hours. Even at 64 hours I wasn't hungry. Is that normal? Is burping and flatulence normal when not eating?
Robininthehood That's normal,it happens to me on an eighteen hour fast, it's due to the stomach and bladder shrinking,so the "gas" must come out, maybe other reason too..
@@nigelnazeemjohannes85 Thank you for your help. Good to know about others experiences.
make sure your electrolytes are ok other than that if you have some weight on 64 hours is nothing I did a full week and Im 50 kgs which is 105-110pound idk in pounds ?😅 Fasting is super healthy and you can almost feel your body recycling in different stages.
Will let you know if this has any affect on cluster headache 👍. Thanks Doc. Stay strong 💪 stay blessed 🙏

Video request: i keep hearing "eat fermented foods!! They cure everything!!" But everytime i eat them, my gi track goes crazy. Does rejecting fermented foods mean something?? Is there something i can try to get used to it? Or is my body saying "NO!"
Your body will get used to it. Start with small amounts. Like one tablespoon of sourkraut a day and so forth.
Great video Dr. Eric, however I wish you would have explained a little more on ageing of the garlic. How aged are we talking about? I have used 1 large fresh clove daily for the last 10 years along with 1 50 MG tablet of Atenolol to control my high BP.

Dr Berg l was taking garlic one tooth in the morning, and it did lower my blood pressure. But a little capillary in my right eye kept breaking and my eye would turn red with blood. I could actually see where the blood was coming from. I almost lost my job. Turns out the garlic was dangerously thinning my blood. I had to take time off from work , two weeks, so my blood would get back to being normal. But garlic did lower my BP from 160/90 down to 125/82. My wife after one look at my eye said " the garlic has thinned your blood too much you better stop taking it" What a shame l had to give up garlic, some things are too good to be true. Please let your followers know about the dangers such as this. Cause some people might go gun-ho on taking garlic. Also sometimes it would give me so much gas my heart would go into palpitations. Not a very good feeling!
You probably needed to lower the dose or how often you were taking it.
How many mg were you taking?
@@ELBrown213 l was eating one tooth in the morning and another tooth at night before bed.
Tooth ? You mean one clove ?
@@SleeplessinOC the bulb has several teeth around it. I was taking one tooth , crushed waited 15 min. then put it in small glass of water and drank it before food. I'm not a cook so l really don't know difference between clove and tooth. All l can tell you is l would buy the bulb and take the dry flaky skin off and pull a tooth off the bulb leaving all the other teeth on bulb. I did this twice a day. It did lower my blood preeure greatly , from 160s/90s to 120s/80. I think garlic thinned the blood thus lowered my bp. Maybe l was overdoing it. I also believe garlc in the food probably won't hurt me. It's a very good addition to food.
Thanks for the video, may I know that should we wait 15 mins for aged garlic to release its allicin like fresh garlic or not? (or we still get high allicin even we eat aged garlic immediately after chop)
Yes.
I didn’t even know aged garlic was a thing??? How long do you age it for?? I just harvested garlic from my yard a few weeks ago.
Any recommendations on products that work best? Should I buy a "fermentation box" , use an instant pot on warm or a crockpot brand crock pot? Should they be wrapped in parchment and foil for any of these. Organic garlic is very expensive at the co-op, I don't want to waste experimenting... thank you
I agree...we need more info@ thanks for adking.

Hi Dr Berg,
I use to take Kyolic aged garlic abstract for over 30 years and when I tell you it’s all I needed in my medicine chest. It worked wonders for so many things. However they changed the ingredients and added caramel color so I stopped buying that brand. It was dark brown in color. I can’t seem to find any comparable to kyolic. Can you recommend a good one please? Thanks in advance Dr Berg. Love your videos.
What's the best garlic supplement to take?
I don't have the time to mince garlic all the time.
Hi there! Dr. Berg might recommend a type of supplement but does not get into specifics- you'll have to do this research yourself.

How long does it take for garlic to lower blood pressure?
I didn’t know about aged garlic. But I eat two cloves of raw garlic a day and I haven’t noticed a difference in blood pressure.
What is your bp before and after taking garlic?
@@stayhealthy9125 I don’t know. I don’t take it because I’ll get anxiety and typically make it worse.
@@Desert_Rose_xo ohh.. Are you previous history of anxiety? Sorry it's personal, but if you don't want to share, it's ok.
@@stayhealthy9125 No I just don’t know what it is. I used to take my blood pressure daily. But my doctor made me stop because I’d get anxiety over the numbers and then make my blood pressure worse.
So I don’t take it anymore to know what it is but I do know it’s always high.
Normally around 140-150 over 90-113.
I think highest I’ve seen it is 170 something over 120 something. I have to not think about the numbers so I don’t get stressed. So it’s not that it’s personal, it’s just that I don’t know for my own peace of mind.
It’s only taken occasionally. But I’m trying to get it down without medication.
