    I own this bike as well. Fabulous build quality and hassle free riding.
    I live near a few steep hills and find gear selection adequate.

    Costco sells this bike for considerably less than retail, and even run it on sale for less than that.

    Would love to see a comparison between this and the Evelo's offerings ie. Omega, Atlas.

      @charlienyc1 Před 8 měsíci +1

      I have the Atlas and am assuming I'd prefer the Shimano to the Enviolo. What Micah says about the low range is true, but also the highest doesn't feel high enough to me or other Atlas owners. Even on PAS1, you don't feel enough resistance and end up pedaling at a too-high cadence.
      But idk if I could live without front suspension with the condition of pavement around where I live

      I compared the two and opted for the Evelo Omega. I really appreciate the throttle at stop lights, and when Evelo dropped the price to $2599 it was a no-brainer.

    I own this bike and it’s amazing. I’ve put 3000 miles on it since I got in in March and it’s been amazing.
    People complaining about thumb throttles and too skinny tires and no suspension are missing the point. This bike isn’t for you. It’s for me. Someone who already rides bikes and wanted an ebike so I could go faster and or farther with less effort when I feel like it. There are tons of fat tire ebikes with suspensions and thumb throttles on the market. Those are for you. This is for other people, like me.

      Right ON! I’m so disheartened by how many awesome e-bikes are out there, only to be ruined by having fat tires and / or unnecessary suspension.

      I own this bike also, it’s great. It’s just not a MTB. I’ve got a MTB for that.

      The complaint about not including a throttle is legit, because empowering customers with choices when it costs almost nothing, is a no-brainer. They could radically expand their customer base by adding a throttle (and it's not like you'd be forced to use it, right?). This is the one feature lack that prevents me from going for this model.

    • @randomdude5938
      @randomdude5938 Před 5 měsíci

      @@hpmoon adding a throttle would make the bike illegal to ride on public streets in the vast majority of the US and would have caused me to not buy the bike. There are a million bikes for people that don’t want to pedal and don’t care about the laws. This isn’t one of them.

    • @hpmoon
      @hpmoon Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@randomdude5938 Disagree completely. You're arguing against a tiny optional feature addition that nobody is required to use. The idea that the bike becomes "illegal" is just a made-up idea.

    Nice looking bike with the option to upgrade to an Enviolo continuous hub gear system.
    Sadly, it isn't available in Europe/UK - Priority should consider replacing the 500W motor with a 250W one and start marketing in Europe. I'm guessing that is quite a lot of work, but I think it would sell.

    Belt drive is great…but when the belt needs changing, how do you change it. To change a chain drive, there is usually a “quick-link” to easily remove and replace the chain.

    Zero suspension with skinny tires.. This seems like it will rattle your brain with that much weight. Also if they are going to integrate the battery you might as well integrate the screen on the center down tube. I hate how these screens take the place where your phone should be. Just tell me the speed and battery charge, you don't need a huge screen for that!

    • @srobeck77
      @srobeck77 Před 3 měsíci +1

      How are you going to rattle on a flat paved road? If your worried about cracks or potholes, then get a suspension seat post. Problem solved.
