Thank you. It's a hard thing to do, almost doesn't make sense, but one wash allows the light to come through the paint. Sometimes I mask so that I remember to leave it light.

YES, that is exactly right (:
I may try a hybrid approach of masking some large areas I SUSPECT may be hurt by too thick of a first wash.
