      I'm from England and I'm sick of English people dissing Americans for saying soccer. It was us who came up with that word to distinguish from rugby, which is also a type of football. The word soccer comes from association (soca) football. Every time an English person insists it's called soccer not football you're just showing how ignorant you are about this game you claim to love!

    The thing is a lot of his most amazing moves in this video were against some of the most legendary defenders in the history of the sport, and simultaneously during major competitions. He makes it look so casual, non regular fans might thinks he is just playing against outranked opposition. That's how epic this guy was, can't even begin with him. Absolute joy to watch, zero profanity, a true gentlemen, respected by all his opponents. What a sight to see. Ronaldinho could never score 90+ goals in a calendar year the way messi did, messi has been incredible since he was 17. That’s 16 years of consistently being one of the top goal scorers.
      For 15/16 years he has been non stop incredible.
      As a barca fan, Ronaldinho in his prime had some unbelievable ball control for how quick and strong he is and is the perfect embodiment of Brazilian beach football, tekkers, tricks, skills and body feints were at the heart of this guys game and that’s what made him incredible. The unpredictability, the way he can make a top tier defender look like a Sunday league dad.
      Messi on the other hand is a much much more complete player, the passing, the vision, the ball control, the tempo, hell he could play as a Xavi if he wanted to, the man has absolutely everything and he makes it look SO easy.
      Messi finds gaps where there is none, he can turn on a dime, and gets past players in a way that’s so perfectly executed it makes anyone think they can do it, trying to stop messi is like wrestling with a ghost. He is selfless unlike CR7, and most importantly he very rarely dives which is incredibly rare for smaller quicker players especially a) wingers and b) playing in la Liga.
      If this isn’t enough he even has INSANE free kick ability, which in a game of football/soccer at the top level in priceless to a team. Place that ball well enough and no keeper can save a top bins goal. Think how many keepers have come across messi knowing he’s going for the top right corner, yet no one can stop it

    • @deleted1048
      @deleted1048 Před 4 lety +1

      Tom Shvelgud if u want the perfect player it’s actually dinho no one had the Vision he had the way he can just pass the ball directly to where u were he’ll dinho is the one who brought glory back to Barca when he was there and after barca was basically the Man U of today dinho came and made ppl watch barca play because of him he started making making more money for Barca which allowed for bigger signings dinho made any striker he played with look like a big star the fact that dinho could not only be fun to watch and help the team find glory is very rare he helped messi have courage which lead messi to help barca to even more glory after. Dinho never played for trophies he played to entertain us and yet managed to win every single major title making him the only player in history to do so messi might be better cuz he was consistent but there’s no denying that if dinho wanted to he would’ve kept messi in his shadow cuz dinho is the perfect player who can carry his team and can work well under pressure he made all his teammates look untouchable

He was incredibly skillful and he did it with a smile.
    Some interesting fact, Messi started playing in Barcelona's main team near the end of Ronaldinho and Messi learned a lot from him (he said it himself) If you look at the dribbling style they are quite similar!

    Hey beautiful girl, so glad you got to see Ronaldinho. He has made many a person fall in love with the beautiful game. He played with the same joy that he lives his life, and you’re right, the ball at his foot just becomes an extension of himself... an expression. He did things with the ball that no one else has done since. That long goal toward the beginning of the video was the European Goal of the Year. The move he does by the end line is called the ‘elastico’. The goal he scores for Brazil (blue jersey) toward end of video - everyone, including the goalie, thought he was going to cross that. He disguised his shot as a cross! I haven’t seen anyone do that since him. (Brazil won that game 2-1, Ronaldinho had 1 goal, 1 assist.) He has won a World Cup, championships in Spain, Italy, Brazil, the Champions League, and a FIFA Player of the Year Award as well. IMO he is the most skilled player the game has ever seen. Messi is the most effective player the game has seen. Due to R’s partying and possible future negative effects he might have on Messi, Barcelona decided to trade him (to AC Milan). Ronaldinho once scored a hat trick against rivals Real Madrid AT MADRID, beating Madrid 3-2 I think, and MADRID FANS APPLAUDED HIM. It was a beautiful thing. For a few years, He Was Football. (Now, it’s Messi.) The first game back after Ronaldinho’s father passed away, he scored a beautiful goal and then saluted his father in tears. He scored 3 and assisted 2 that day. Every player and coach love him. He has no enemies. People took a breath when he touched the ball. Watch as much of him as you can, because you won’t see another like him. Zinedine Zidane - Maestro of a Decade... has more elegance and grace, but not as much power and unapologetic skill. So glad to see you watching The Beautiful Game.
