Incredibly proud of our club ❤. Arteta and his staff, the players, the owners, the fans and everyone associated with the club. People forget where we have come from in such a small amount of time. From the complete lack of connection with the fans to the total unity now. That in it's self is a remarkable achievement but to be also challenging for the title is amazing! Also I think people forget that this is Arteta's first time as a manager. How he has adapted, learned from possible mistakes and improved so quickly is unbelievable! Exciting times ahead!

I saw a lot of “Arsenal fans” criticizing this team on social media. it's disappointing not to have won the league but I have nothing but pride in what this team represents and I don't just mean the players. all the workers at the club gave it their all.

Don't worry there will always be some whingers, moaners, kill joys and people in serious need of getting "themselves a life" everywhere.
Specially with Arsenal and Man. U., because of their past (distant) glory, there are always some of those fans that feels that they are entitled to win every game and every trophies.

It's because for that section of Arsenal fans it's one extreme or the other. Because we didn't win a silverware it's a failure so destroy everything to build from zero. Then we build from zero and start over and succes is not instant those same fans will lose their mind and be angry again.

Hi Charles, Kiwi gooner ( Ray) here and I feel your pain as well mate... i've been feeling pretty down all day today, work was hard ( particularly with an office full of Chelsea and Man united fans ). On Rodri's comments well i don' t want to sound bitter ...but maybe Rodri's right. To commit 115 FFP breaches requires stamina and mental application. Hence their amazing success. That's why there are so many Manchester City fans all over the world. Nothing empty or soul less about their success ... AT ALL......ok that's out of the system. Love our team and can't wait til the start of next season . I really feel we're going to do it this time. Arteta's drive and determination is the key as to why he won't allow this team's motivation to drop after this disappointment. Great times ahead keeps me positive despite the disappointment.

Arsenal end the Premier League season on a high with a victory on the final day. We finish the season 2nd having conceded the fewest goals. We were second best to a team who're yet to come clean on 115 charges of wrongdoing. Proud of the Gunners & proud to be a Gunner. If we keep going at this rate, it's a matter of time before we win a major trophy.

Really proud of the team and hoping we address some of the teams weakness in the summer and I think next season will be our season.
Happy with Havertz and the teams performance goal wise but feel like we still need a striker. The margins at the top are so fine and a game like the Villa one where we didn’t finish any of our chances are what ultimately cost us and to mitigate that we need a natural and instinctive forward. Add to that an another wide player and a midfielder and I think we will be good for next season.

Yesterday was a tough one. I didn’t see myself getting emotional but seeing the look on some of the players and fans faces made me emotional. I’m very confident that this squad and manager will deliver us something next season and I can’t wait!
One thing about the NBC coverage in the USA is they talked about the 115 after they lifted the trophy. Sounds like more information will come out next season. We shall see…
One last thing, yesterday was a poor poor day for KSE. Arsenal not winning the league and their NBA team, Denver Nuggets, dropping out of the playoffs. Would’ve been awesome to see both teams win it this year.

With any luck we play them really early in the season before they’ve defrosted and snatch 3 points from them early doors

Really disappointed with the lack-of-professionallism by other clubs' fans the past few days. I don't understand why they think it's funny to mock us when all they are doing is ignoring the fact that we went toe-to-toe against the best club in-the-league and we have not had their depth-of-players! We've done an incredible thing and how we have no title is just the sheer scale-of-class this season v Manchester City. We're very nearly there. We are in such a good place. I could not have wished for anything else when Arteta got-the-job! Roll-on the Euros. Who would be your dream summer signing Charles and why? I think what this season has taught us is that there’s no time to tinker around at the beginning of the season. Arteta was trying out a few new ideas in the first ten games, and it cost us precious points. When he finally went back to what was working well last season (Gabriel and Saliba at CB, white at RB overlapping), we went on our huge run. I think next season he will not experiment anymore and will stick with what worked so well for us from January 2024 until now. And hopefully our new signings will bring the needed skill upgrades and reinforcements to the squad.

I wanted to voice an opinion that I feel has massively gone under the radar this season. But Raya on loan from Brentford has to go down as one of the most successful loans, when you think about it if at the start of the season you’d of said a loan GK is going to come in for a team and win a Golden Glove in his debut season it’s pretty wild. I can fully appreciate that being the best defensive team has also aided this massively, but regardless I have always felt the team and in particular the back four, do feel more comfortable with him behind them in net.

    2. Keep Thomas Partey at all cost. He is always good when fit and we need his experience and expertise at least for one season. Let's keep the crop of midfield of playes intact. Hold on to ESR.
    3. Get a different breed of striker like Isak.

The thought that's helping my mood the most is thinking it was only 2 years ago we were in a long era of just praying for our team to get to a level of being a top 4 club again. How many years did we sit through seasons where finishing simply 4th would have been so exciting. For so many years, the idea of being at Man City and Liverpool's level seemed like a fantasy. That era feels so long ago, but it was only 2 years ago.
So quickly we've put that era in the rear view mirror. We're at Man City's level. We were turning a tie against Fulham into a win from winning the League. What a great time to be an Arsenal fan! Of course I held out hope and was absolutely gutted yesterday to not get the trophy. But now that I've had a little time to exhale, I just feel so proud of this team. I've been a fan for 18 years, so for me this is the best I have ever felt about this team. COYG!!!

The games we lost in December as well as the last one against Villa was what cost us. The complacency shown in the last loss against Villa was unforgiving given what was at stake. Liverpool had lost and presented us the opportunity and we failed. Tbh I must say I'm disappointed.

I love Arteta but the goalkeeper fiasco at the start of the season was a major mistake and disrupted the team. As for Saka you said it, when he’s missing it’s a BIG miss unlike Man City that have the squad to cope (i.e., Kevin De Bruyne). Thanks for all the work you've put in this season, Charles! The ambition to press on to win the league next season/make a serious run at the Champions League are obvious benchmarks, but one area that I'm hoping to see some improvement is our performance in the domestic cup competitions, notably the FA Cup. City and Liverpool always seem to be in and around the semi-finals and that's where a club of our stature belongs. We had a tough draw this season for sure, but continuing to strengthen the full squad should give us the resources to more successfully push for everything that's available. -Mike

  • @framie1983

I don't think the league was lost just because of the Villa game. Yes, 1 point from 12 against Villa and Fulham isnt what you'd want, but I don't think anyone would've thought we'd go undefeated against the 'top 6'. So you have to balance those results against each other.
Even the blip at Christmas time - you can't think that with half a season to play the league is over. Looking back, that was more costly to us not winning the league, but no one can know citeh would only lose 1 game from 8th Oct when we beat them 1-0!!
I believe we were the best team in the league this season - great football, most goals, least conceded, record club wins in a season etc and the ceiling is there for us to go on and improve even more. Exciting times ahead.
It's a good thing to feel disappointed not winning the league, it means we are in with a chance of winning it!! And 4 years ago when arteta took over a fractured, underperforming squad with players on massive wages causing all sorts of internal chaos, who wouldve thought we'd be where we are today?!
We're here for the long haul and every team in the league knows we will be the ones to beat next season!! COYG!!

Trossard had his worse game with Arsenal...GM was sharp...great to see him back. Timber getting back on the field was the bonus of the day. Arsenal had a brilliant season, but MC forces all takers to be perfect. Our record vs. Villa and Fulham was the killer of perfect. COYG...24/25..let's get it!

Looking at the League Table the match that comes to mind is the Totnum, if Jorginho just got rid of the ball and didn’t lose it then maybe. But that’s football we go again next season 💪🏽

Hi Charles, big question from the last game of the season: Did Ødegaard mean that last assist to Kai? 🤔 I felt at first he miskicked it. But after watching few replays, I am quite positive he actually meant that pass. Abit Henry-esque type faint. What do you think? Love your content, watch it daily! From Laos 🇱🇦

Not sure I understand, it wasn't in our hands, even if we won, we still didn't have a say! Anfield '89 we need to win by two clear goals, it was in our hands and we did it. Next season, it's in our hands...as soon as it isn't, what can we do! Let's try and not be in that situation again. Very very proud of my team, the manager, the Club.....and the YT content providers, Charles Watts, thank you so much. Next season, sure up our Home performances, a draw against Fulham and losing the WHU & Villa at Home is no good, if just one of those had been a win, we'd be Champions!! And we can do it. Roll On August....GOO-NERS!

The next step is to get a proper number 8, a top quality right winger, another versatile defender and a striker, that's the next level. Two top quality player in every position, that's the next level.

Charles you should do a check on yourself regarding decisions of some conjecture. Even after the most obvious non- decision of the VAR and ref to the hand ball (that made 3 times - the ref opinion play / the VAR / the ref on video). You are the first person who I have heard decide it was prob wrong call. It seems to me that is almost always your go to position - negative to Arsenal or maybe versus the ref ????

There’s been a few disappointments in this almost-perfect season, like the dreadful run in December and 11 points given away to Villa and Fulham, or the VAR issues (which may have levelled with the couple in our favour, bar the Newcastle farce)… But as I was elaborating the sadness, there is one moment that is now vivid in my mind: City-Arsenal 0-0, few minutes left, Trossard failing to pass to Martinelli running to goal… For what it would have meant in the battle v City and what Rodri said about mentality, that is the episode that makes me most regretful. Not to blame it on the player, it’s just the one thing I wish it had gone differently. But we’ll go again next year.

Hi Charles, thanks for another great season providing your views on Inside Arsenal.
There are a few places where we can say that Arsenal dropped points when they shouldn’t have done. Those that immediately spring to mind are the obvious West Ham and Villa defeats at the Emirates and the poor defeat at Craven Cottage, but we appear to have forgotten the poor decisions against us at Newcastle when not only did the ball go out of play then Joelinton blatantly shove Gabriel to score. The the appalling decision at Villa Park to disallow Havertz goal for handball after ricocheted off the Villa defenders arm. I know that I’m clutching at straws, but if we had got the decisions then we would be champions this morning

Hi Charles I am really proud of the team great job by the whole team. Against man city I felt we showed them too much respect showed no attacking intent of v r not there yet then we should be addressing that . One area of improvement I see is when we r say 2-0 up and suddenly go in to a defensive mode we don't seem comfortable though we pulled thru this season, and we need a striker who can score with his head to break the low block it is too easy for teams with tall full back to block out our forwards with the ball in the air . Cant wait for the next season

  • @johnmagee810
    @johnmagee810 Před 23 dny

Charles, I thought Martinelli was superb. He looked more dangerous on the right. Two or three times he beat the full back and cut very dangerous balls back for Havertz. He’s better playing closer to Odeegard who has the ability to angle little passes behind the full back which Martinelli can come on to at speed. If Saka can play as effectively on the left as on the right, it would be interesting to see what the result would be of them switching wings. Perhaps it’s something to be looked at in pre-season.😢

Gotta be a bit more realistic: pretty obvious they already long lost it at Villa. Yes it's an improvement but I think you just have to know the quality of City's entire squad depth vs then gooners. Onwards to next season
