5:00 P'Prapt is the actual author of the novel for The Eclipse btw! he also wrote "The Miracle of Teddy Bear," another novel that got turned into a BL drama. also, if anyone is interested in reading "1984" it's a really good book! if you read it, you'll understand Ayan's mentality a lot more.

1984 is a MUST-read!!! Not an easy read though, be prepared. But it truly is an eye-opening, thought-provoking, awakening, brilliant novel. After you read it, you will never be able to see the society around you as before. It's just as deliberating as frustrating at the same time. That dystopia is not in the future. It is here in the now. Always been here.

I just realized something:
There was an eclipse in the year 1984, which is a direct link to Orwell's book that is mentioned so often. The subject being about controlling people and the way they think (or the believe by empowered people that they shouldn't think at all) is identical in the book and the series.
It's mind-blowing and extremely clever.

I love the way they talked or mentioned, focused this great book (George Orwell 1984) they gave the opportunity to describe it. When they started mentioning this book at the beginning of the serie I just started getting interested on it. I’m not here just because of the characters , I’m here for the message that they want to transmit to us.
I hope that my comment is not lost under the others. We all need to wake up because we’ll be taken all our rights , and we’ll think that we have it , but we won’t. We’ll be silent if we keep sleeping. I highly recommend reading this book to the ones who haven’t yet. Well, that’s all. Stay safe and keep an eye on the world you live in.

It's strange to see 1984 in a show where the characters don't necessarily know about it. Here in the US, it's usually required reading for school. At least, it was for me in both high school and college, as well as Animal Farm and Fahrenheit 451. It's a really good book and I absolutely recommend it to people.
Here also in the UK, especially for English Lit exam.

it's pretty well-known here in brazil too! but i think it's just kind of metaphorical and a bit of metalanguage use. like, the students and prefects are just as brainwashed as the characters in the book, so it kind of makes sense for akk's character to not know or care about it.
my favorite series at the moment, i love the characters, the cast, the ost, the story. another point is firstkhao, I've loved them for a LONG time, but I didn't know I needed to see them SO MUCH as a couple. they're putting on a show apart, what an unparalleled chemistry. for more series of them as a couple, PLEASE!!

@@obandoisa26 they also have amazing chemistry. but since first and khao have been friends for 5 YEARS their chemistry is so different for me, it's like ohm and nanon for me. any scene they do makes my heart warm, you feel the feelings in their eyes. their chemistry goes far beyond the characters. idk, it's just different for me.

Seeing the positive changes in Akk because of Aye makes me so relieved,,, like all he did before was suppress his emotions and opinions. All that was so toxic. I'm glad hes finally giving himself the margin to be human.

Ayan walking around with George Orwell’s book 1984 which was written in 1949 is an absolutely brilliant touch and not a detail I expected to see in a Thai BL drama. What a wonderful surprise!💜
I love how books were incorporated in this series. I haven’t read 1984, but the fact they relate it to books, which I love the most is so heartwarming and overwhelming. I also realized, the best recommendation for books is the one that the one you like likes. And there’s nothing more heart fluttering when someone likes your fave book. We can see him changing gradually through episodes and in this new one he even apologizes to those protesters, which he has never done before. He starts to think and listen to different opinions! I just realized that am going to really miss this show when its over which is rare but The Eclipse tackles more Important issues in society and quite handles them well its actually impeccable how well thought provoking this show is ....I mean I can see the internal struggle Akk is going through of seeing of wanting to do things in Ayans way but it ain't going to be easy since he doesn't want to let anyone down his family,peers and also school ...I mean sometimes as young people we also do struggle with such issues and its feels great to see this in this show😇The way Akk leaned on his mom for that comfort and the mum said if it's hard you can let it go had me in tears...The eclipse is worth every watch ❤💯

For me, schools should wear uniforms. It makes everything simple. Nowadays peer pressure makes kids try to outshine one another. Imagine a school without uniforms, kids have the pressure to look their best, and if they are poor, they get notice quickly which can lead to poor self esteem and bullying. Wearing uniforms can alleviate some of that. Plus , students can wear uniforms and still be creative.
1984 es un libro que justo empecé a leer antes de ver la serie y no sabía que la encontraría aqui también, con razon entiendo mejor la manera de pensar de Ayan. Este libro explica tantas cosas de la sociedad a traves de una distopia, amo que la hayan tomando como parte de la serie. AMO AMO!!

idk if its just me but in most BL drama even when i find both the top n bottom cute, i'm usually attracted more to the tops in general ( may be cause my personal preferences gets aligned ) but in here Ayan/Aye it is, he is so beautiful.

It is important to grow up. We always need a mother’s hug and her tenderness. There is nothing more beautiful than a mother’s hug. It really hurts me that her father is happy with him because he is conservative, but the problem is that things do not go well.
There are very few books that I actually enjoyed reading in school, but 1984 by George Orwell was one of them, and before they brought it up, I was thinking this drama is very Orwellian. Ayan was sleeping with it on his face a couple episodes ago and now Akk is getting in on it

First's characters's relationship with their mothers is always precious and the best :)
We finally get some much needed context for why the school uniform is so important to Akk! The way his parents were so excited to see him wear it, and how they talked about him being their pride means that Akk too probably feels like the school uniform has an incredible value. No wonder he's supporting the suppression of the protesting squad who wants to abolish the uniform. But Akk's feelings on the matter still doesn't mean that he's right. It's simply some new context for why he's adhering to the principal teacher's wishes, even when it's clearly the wrong thing to do.
Life is really complicated, causal clothes is the freedom they want while the uniform is the freedom he wants.
It is unexpected it talks so much about 1984.... respect to Thai’s drama directors!!!
