Tau really should have started in conceal and spammed markerlights in that first turn, losing those gunners so early was a huge hit. With Tau you can generally play really safe and toss markerlights onto one or two targets, then delete them with the gunners extremely quickly. Hi-intensity markerlights are a must, I usually use all my EP on them.

@@MiniatureGameMontage they’re a pretty complex team, but that’s the basics. Turn one I usually start in all conceal minus the two non-silent gunners, but make sure they can’t be shot. Then spam markerlights down the board on the most dangerous opponent units, you want to be shooting at targets with 3 markerlights usually to be hitting on 3+ and 4 to get rid of obscuring terrain. Two hi intensity and one normal gets you to 5 so conceal cant protect enemies. Then once you have a good shot, delete them with an analyze into overcharge ion shot with full rerolls. Pathfinders eat elites for breakfast with this.

Awesome, as always! I need to paint my Pathfinders. I did paint my Intercession as Dark Angels with the upgrades. I even did the double squad transfers (squad type with unit number over the top), which impressed myself. Should be interesting to add those teeny-tiny Pathfinder transfers eventually (lol).
Awesome! I haven’t pulled out my Tau pathfinders sheet yet. I actually missed them completely and randomly found them one day and though, “oh, I don’t have to freehand that! Sweet!”

What the heck were these pathfinders doing? No markerlight to speak of, Sacreficing the recondrone for a marker drone!? Not starting in cover? Sacreficing the MEDIC to get a few hit!?!?!?
If you play Tau as if they were space marines, you no longer have any tau.

My feedback: would be nice to hear the thought process behind each decision is. So we know what your planning and why youre doing things. Ive never seen dice green screens work anywhere simply because peoples hand mess up with the light, I would just film the dice tray somewhere on the side of the screen when u do rolls. Its not really distracting since its a big part of the game that u want to see.

The intercession team is no joke, my Kommandos just had a good kicking from them this week.
Yeah they haven't lost since the changes. The ability to fire twice with 4 shots on 3s...normally getting AP1 and potentially no cover. Just not much you can do with low wound models.
Intercession are the most broken team in the game. So unfun to play against.
How you were able to do that shooting action in 4:19? He was able to see them from this perspective?

So much confusion here. Firstly in a standard matched game you only can select 1 faction tac op per team. You can choose to play different, but that was a surprise. Second: why waste the infiltrate scouting option to flip the Tau sniper to concealed, when he can shoot from concealed anyway? I know his weapon profile is better when engaged but that scouting option was wasted. Also with the recon drone deployed you could have used a 2nd scouting option and forward deploy it. And lastly: intercession scoring 1 VP for rout? Why? The Intercessor must be within 6“ of the enemy‘s deployment zone to do this, which he wasn’t.
But all that aside, nice quality of the batrep, visually and sound wise. Good narration as well!
Yeah we’re just not very good. I don’t have anyone to teach me. Not the best excuse but sadly I learn from making videos.

Double shooting automatically with chapter tactics make them tough.
