Wow! So beautiful.....just amazing melody, tone and feel. Blown away. Love the Celtic roots creeping in. When you play your inner voice speaks..to all of us.

Very nice… added the low to high bend to my bag of tricks!
Glad you liked it FMK 👍
My brother, your music moves me so much. Looking at the other comments it moves so many others as well. You move us man! You have a gift! It’s a beautiful thing. Inspiring to say the least. But you do so much more than others on CZcams, you teach us like no other. Damn I learned from you! Thank you!

Beautiful playing, thanks!
Thanks Tweed_Tone 🍻
Lovely, sensitive approach Paul. Love the violin/pedal steel effects with the volume control. Always hard to do smoothly enough, but as usual, you nail it with style and class.
Thank you Burt, I’m chuffed you picked up on the subtleties. Cheers 🍻
Great touch and tone 👌
Thanks Michael 🍻
Hello Paul - lovely harmonic content and tuneful bends...feeling and thought collide to create an escape from the humdrum! Best, NRG
Thanks Neil, nice to see you still tuning in to my wee CZcams show. 🍻

aaaaaahhhh- absolutely LOVELY my man - thank you so much my friend ...!!!
Thank you bongoslade 🍻
I came off of a guitar lesson today, improving on Fmaj, Gmaj, Cmaj, Amin Triads, to turn on your channel and hear you play such a wonderful rendition of “Songbird”. I have many miles yet to go! Awesomely inspiring as always, Thank-you! 👍❤️🎸🎶✌️
Thank you Michael, I guess it’s all relative 😊. I feel the same way sometimes, where I make a breakthrough and then I watch Tobias or Robben Ford, and it’s back to feeling like it’s just another school day 🤣. Cheers for watching.
You’re an excellent guitarist Paul. Some great tips there mate. Thank you. 🙏
Thank you Alex, cheers mate
Sublime playing as ever, Paul. So good and perfect pitching on those bends. Hawick is braw.
Thanks Dunsy, glad you liked the playing. Cheers mate. To anyone reading this comment, go check out Dunsy’s channel. Some great stuff!
Man I'm only a couple minutes in. This is just beautiful Mr Cook. I can feel the emotion you put into this tasteful tune. Your sincerity is why I keep coming back for more.
What a lovely comment! Thanks man, it’s appreciated 🍻

Beautiful Paul.....seems kind of weird that you are playing so well in your room at home, we should be buying tickets to see this level of musicianship......well done mate

Captain Cook and the Oswald chronicles ✌🏻🎸
Sounds like you had a nice holiday and a bit of reflection perhaps.
The old style country is a nice touch.🍻🤙
Thanks GW. Yeah, I do like me a little bit of country, it’s so refreshing 🍻

I think because it is founded in common sense and familiar experiences.😉
This is why I want a hardtail strat!
Yes, a floating bridge is a nightmare in that scenario 🤣👍
Lot of people saying beautiful here Paul. Love it.

@@williamweiss3620I appreciate that Bill 🙏
Hey Paul hope you're well. I really enjoy your playing. I hope you don't mind but I wrote to Paul Davids and asked if he would include you as one of the contributors the next time he asks a selection of guitarist to play over a backing track-once again I hope this is not an imposition-more people should hear you tones-all the best.
Hi Shane. What a nice thing to do! Thanks man, I appreciate that. Cheers 🍻
Beautiful sir!
Thank you, appreciated 🍻
That was beautiful.
Thank you Colin. Cheers 🍻
Magnificent Paul, my kind of playing

Beautiful Paul! 👏🏻
Thanks Wallqvist, and I hope you’re enjoying life. I’m chuffed you’re still tuning in to my little show here on CZcams. 🍻
Well seeing as i already watched around 99% of the internet, i have come to the conclusion that you are one of the few worth listening to 🤓
@@wallqvistphotography4937Well thank you man 🙏
Been a fan of Joe Gore for ages, his teaming up with Jim is perfection! Lovely playing as always!
I agree, but think you may have meant the comment for another video? Don't feel bad if so, I've done that too (more than once).
Nope, he talks about them in this video@@pharmerdavid1432
Yes, Joe is such a talent. In fact…. stay tuned because I’m about to upload another vid this evening where Joe and Jim are the main focus.
Btw. You are so right about eva cassidy!!
Beautifull tone always my friend.👍👍⚘🙏🙏🌹
Thank you vintagetone 🍻
feckin brilliant, loved that one mate, I'll need to get a lesson arranged now that i'm retired. Kinda lost my way a bit on the playing side of things. still love fixing them etc, but needing a bit of inspiration to play. I built a wee telecaster thingy today from bits and pieces i had lying around and thinking about setting it up in open G for the Keef stuff. Just need a wee spark to get me in the mood again. Thanks for posting , it's a joy to watch you
Delighted you enjoyed it Charlie. You’ll notice I wasn’t playing any of that dissonant nonsense and diminished shenanigans 🤣. Sounds like you’re being productive in retirement Charlie!
Badassery goin on here.
I like that. Badassery. Yeah, 🤣👍
No dry eyes on this channel today.beautiful playing man.
Thanks John, cheers mate 🍻
Good to see you are still with us Paul. I was worried. 😅
Thanks Taylort3b 🤣. Don’t worry mate, I’m going nowhere. Cheers for tuning in my friend.
Soulful paying Paul!
Thanks Pauly 🍻
Jeeze Paul, your touch, feel, tone is just beautiful. Loved the bottom end tone on the Oswald. You should listen to Duncan Chisholm's tune I Horo S Na Hug Oro Eile, what you do with your guitar reminded me of what Duncan does with his fiddle..
Great playing
Hi Dougie! I’d never in my life thought of listening to fiddle music for inspiration…. and so I read your comment and typed his name into Apple Music, specifically the track you’re referencing here. Wow! What an incredibly intimate and captivating sound. I can almost hear the breath of the air inside his fiddle. Thanks for this recommendation, beautiful 👌
Paul you are Eva on guitar.
Well I’ll take that! I don’t think I’m worthy of such high praise, but thanks man, I appreciate that 🍻
Dear Paul
We will walk in fields of gold.
Thats a promise
Thank you
By the way....that middle pup sounds sweet
Thanks Fingertips, I hope you’re doing well! Cheers for tuning in to my wee CZcams show. 🍻
@@paulstaffordcook8799 Im well thanks.
It may be of interest....I utilized alot of what I learned from you on my latest Video....oh that Romany!
Reminds me of Adrian Legg
Well thank you man. I remember listening to an album by Adrian Legg, playing an Adamas Ovation guitar. Blew me away!
For those who have lost a loved one, listen to Eva sing “I know you by heart”. You will understand what Paul means.
Really enjoyed that video Paul. Just goes to prove you don’t need to fit palm benders to achieve the sounds you’re getting. What string gauge do you use? Brilliant and well explained. 😊👍🎸
Thank you Alan! Although I must say, I’d love a wee try of a B bender Tele like Albert Lee 🤔. To answer your question, I use 10s on my fender style guitars and 11s on my Gibsons. And gauge 12 flats on my Jazzmaster.
