- Manchester United have finally agreed a deal for Dan Ashworth, David Ornstein confirms, and he will start immediately as our new Sporting Director.
As well as that, Mike Verweij has confirmed Man United are in talks with Bayern Munich over Matthijs De Ligt and said he has been offered a five-year contract.

Any fee for de Ligt should be performance based because of his average performances in both Serie A and the Bundesliga which haven't been great so the fee should be maximum 35 million and the how he performs at United should dictate anything further.
Ineos doubters, everything now in place, done nothing, done more in a few months than been done in years
We should have done what they have done years ago when Fergie left. Now they have everything in place, we can see how well they buy and sell. Getting a footballing board of directors is standard practice let’s not gas it up.
The manager debacle and time taken to get the board in place wasn’t great. Lost out to ollise which we know they wanted thanks to leaks. Let’s see if they get branthwaite and how their signings work out, not judge them now but in a year.
@@damianbrowne847we didn’t lose out on Olise. INEOS are not ED WOODWARD. We’re no longer going to overpay for any player.
@@damianbrowne847 lost Olise bullshit he went for money and champions league and no way signing him with Greenwood Sancho Antony Pellistri and maybe one or two more to offload
@@damianbrowne847Surely you can’t be this negative? Is there nothing going on in your life to have this mindset? I can’t stand people like you.
What manager debacle? You think taking a week to make a decision is a debacle? They’ve built a Dutch super team of coaches with two solid coaches as assistants so they’ve clearly did their research.
They’ve brought in 3 best in class directors, 2/3 done swiftly, all three are basically in and pre season is months away.
All in 6 months.
What are you whinging about?
@MB98164 Amen. Sick of these idiots that want an instant fix to every issue. It took City years to build up their structures and squad. Unfortunately, that's where we are despite our history.
Class defender. Laat season in the Bundesliga tots. Bayerns best defender. Tuchel didn’t want him but before that he was class. Him and Martinez is a very, very good cb partnership.
If they stay fit. We need a new medical team. Last seasons medical team screwed our injured players. Martinez back too early. Shaw back too early. Martial injury not addressed. Casemiro recurring injury. Varane always injured. Mount injury not handled correctly. Bloody hells bells. 😂
Ashworth, let's hope he's successful in getting the rotten apples and deadwood out of the club this window
No he can’t. No one can get them all out in one window.
Ratcliffe said it'd take several windows.
@@richyclubsport5155 will take more than one window. It’s not an easy job.
I've been watching Sam's stream for a long time. For years, he always said that Ashworth and a decent team upstairs would be the catalyst needed for any sort of MUFC revival. All I'd say is don't be surprised if Ashworth will sell the deadwood at cheap prices BUT save the money through the ridiculous wages we pay them and get the new pay structure in place. We need to.
Didn’t know you were live this morning but catching up now!
Glad the structure is set now. Onwards and upwards 🎉🎉
Great show thanks Sam glad you had a good holiday looking fowards to the lunchtime vids, how does all this structure now fit together?
1st of July, New PSR limit starts & we r cooking 😃😃😃
Looking awesome sam
Not paying the ridiculous £20m compo and NOT paying the £70m for JB sets out our stall for the future, letting them all know we will no longer be bent over the transfer table any Ineos doubters must be thinking just perhaps he’s the real deal
Also Sam with De Ligt is our medical staff fit for purpose in accessing the players fitness
Gearing up for the next season
greatest news in a long time!
Cool shades sam 😎which are they? 🤔
how didn't De ligt didn't work out at Juventus? he played almost every game when he was available. 124 games in 3 seasons. he was offered more than one contract by Juve. the reason he left was that he wanted to play a different style of football. at least that's what he said.
He made them a 25m profit from one player alone 😂
So many salty ABUs are laughing at this appointment 😂 they won't be laughing anymore when he helps us massively in the long term.
ABU's as noisy as a closed library when we won the FA Cup 😂
@@jaygee850 but some still found ways to hate 🤣 they can't stand us cuz they ain't us GGMU
Has anyone else seen our new season kit 🎉🎉
De ligt is pure class, can't wait to see him play alongside martinez.
Good morning Sam
sam you are flying 🥶
Deligt would be upgrade on what we have but nothing over 50 mil tho
Great news
You can have one focal point, if you have more than one then there isn't a focal point at all.
You don’t look sun beat for a sec Sam Sick vacay swag 😂😂😂
Wayne Rooney & Michael Owen were the 2 players younger than Kobbie to play for England
Yessssssssssss
Dan's the man, going to make all the diff
Seems to me that Newcastle wanted some sort of compensation for Ashworth's breach of contract in speaking with MUFC. I'm thinking that Ashworth and MUFC were negotiating between themselves on who would pay that compensation. It's no coincidence that Ashworth has officially joined MUFC on the first day of the new accounting year ...
Putting Rodri and Rice in the same phrase was shameless.
*06:55** - Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney to answer the quiz question*
Anything beyond 30-35M for De Ligt would be ridiculous.
We need another CB as well because Maguire needs to go too.
We are back
Ten Hag is the coach who has gotten the best out of De Ligt so far in his career, so it could work out ....
I honestly rather have nobodys join united than known players like de light mainly because of their prices or wages . Have players that play for the badge not the pay check
30/40 mil for Greenwood? 😂 There's no way. That's a 100 mil+ player
Ineoes is making me excited for the future of the club they’ve done more in the past week than the glazers have done in years as what Gabrielle the singer says dreams can come true I’ve doubted Ineos since we never got a Qatar ownership and thought there going to be a glazer 2.0 but man I was wrong Ineos is making decisions what any big clubs do wreck it Ralf style the future is looking bright
wearing sunglasses inside? Jeez
Nothing wrong with buying a 60-7m player but are we saying he should hit the ground running or giving him time? What happened to building united ? This just seems like a square in round holes
Manchester is red
No structure no consistent result and performance= no trophy 🏆🏆🏆🏆
So what price did Ineos pay to get him ( Dan Ashworth) in 🤷
10mil i think
Teleport, department of sport for the Dutch newspaper Telegraaf just came with the news that Bayern Munich really wants to get rid of De Ligt.
For 1 his salary. 2 Underperforming, not living up to expectations.
Teleport also calls it a weak thing that Ten Hag keeps on going for players he knows from his Ajax period, instead if broadening his horizon to build something with new players he is scouting and doesn't know yet from the past. Lack of insight or preference to work with players he already knows.
Teleport says it would be not too difficult to get de Ligt to United because De Ligt won't be a starter, so de Ligt wants to come, his salary is too big and Bayern would love to get some substantial money in for de Ligt.
Personally, I see potential here de Ligt working with Ten Hag. But I don't consider de Ligt a top 20 CB who is worth over 35 million.
Dutch born who picked this news up that came out an hour ago.
I would rather we didn't buy DeLigt because he didn't want to play for us years ago, at the time his career was hot and new. He chose to NOT accept our offer, but now he's not playing at Bayern he wants to accept our offer. It would be a NO thanks for me. We need to stop pussyfooting around and go get Branthwaite. Everton can ask for whatever money they want for their player..If we want Branthwaite then we should negotiate a good price for him.
@@Arielle1309
I agree
@@Arielle1309branthwaite is massively over rated
@@leemccccccc999 our club made an offer for him. They don’t think he’s overrated
45 million max for de ligt
No to De Ligt on physicality need more strength.
I've been supporting man Utd for 40 years and have never cared about how much wages a player gets. A player either has the ability and mentality to play for Utd or he doesn't. If he does, pay him what he wants, if he doesn't, get rid.
inoes wasting money on ppl that not football player
and they blame tenhag cause the team ending 8 or worst
Skin of their teeth once again. I think it's Southgate holding these superstars back.
Glad we dodged that bullet 😂
I hope United sign young world-class talents
Lo e the channel
if the 2 centre backs we end up are De Ligt and Branthwaite, MAAAAAN
Will still stink of desperation when it comes to selling and buying players
So you got old ratworth and only cost 12 mil so where hearing Newcastle fans over the moon with that mate, your problem is keeping him slippery customer old ratty, keep him away from computers and you's should be ok ,
Ajax FC😂😂😂
If I was Ashworth I would sign the following players ASAP : Alisson, Van Dijk, Konate, Trent, Tsimikas, Endo, Szobo, Jones, Salah, Diaz, Gakpo, Hendo, and Milner.
Signing finished players as usual, who else is asking for De Ligt in 2024?😣
Bruno should be the highest paid player at the club without a doubt hes been consistently available for every game since he joined the club and for me that is the standard players should be aiming for he is the ultimate professional imo don’t give a fck about his moaning on the pitch that’s just his passion for the game to bring a player in and put him on more money than Bruno is fckin criminal
The problem with these fan channels are:
- presenters fill up the content with too much blah
- UnitedPeoplesTV - wastes our time saying hello to all his members. I tune out as soon as he starts mentioning his member gang.
Just tune in later and you can skip all the things that bug you.
people like to find reasons to complain about unnecessary things
This is why I never watch live. I watch the playback and play it at x2 speed until he gets to the point.
then why do you watch?
Time stamps are made available bro, and besides, this is a community. I don't see anything wrong with him thanking those that are tuning in, it's his way of showing appreciation.
