It can actually help during completing slayer shot gunner quest. It can help to kill tanks by stunning them with bear traps.

Trapper is like another support and heavy damage dealer with Bear traps and crowd controller with the landmines, and is also an excellent early game tower, for me, always an option for a match
Man I used this thing the day before nerf with my friends and got a 15:40 run on fallen in crystal cave map, so much fun
The skip at the beginning is funny as sh*t as always

I duo'd with a friend, and we both brought farm, commander, dj, and trapper. We did molten mode and got the boss to 5k health before we got killed

trapper is actually busted for early game and even better when you use it in duos and the other person brings smth like a shotgunner because it would cause very very little leaks to no leaks earlygame to farm
Honestly, I feel like Trapper is an overhated tower imo (referring to the majority of people who hates it), like I don't understand the hate around it, it is very useful against leaks especially during harder gamemodes, sure it's not like towers like say uh, Accelerator but here's the thing, comparing Trapper to towers like those is an unfair comparison to why it's trash. Since Accelerator in one hand is literally a Hardcore tower, hence he has like one of the highest DPS of all towers, not to mention Trapper is the reason why I barely even win gamemodes like Fallen, Tank serves as an example for this, because of the Bear Traps, not only the Bear Traps gives Tank a good amount of damage but also stuns him for a good amount of time. Trapper is also very useful against speedy enemies with high HP like Error as Spikes or Grenades could be enough to kill them otherwise when you spam Trappers.
Like, hate it whatever you want but tbh, I love this tower for what it is and I really don't care if people just say it's not good due to lack of DPS, it's not even like Minigunner so saying it's trash due to the DPS is just unfair when it's already good enough as it is.

Agreed. This is not a regular tower that just shoots enemies and should be used at main frontline like most towers. For me trapper is a little helper that kills leaks and stun enemies. Like seriously, why the hell I see people trying to use it infront?

I did a quad match they used trappers at the last few waves to stun all the bigger stuff at the entrance then just spammer strong towers and molten boss didn’t even get to do much he just died 🤷♂️
I think they need to remove the trap cap and make the spike disappear at the end of round to make this thing good

Trapper is a safety net tower. It should be use as a back defense in case of leaks.
that’s just as useless as using medic for base hp if your using a tower slot for the sole need of enemy’s getting to your base your already setting yourself up for failure
Oh- but hey leaks are uncommon these days. Especially if you are joined with noobs.

If you spent the cash on better towers there wouldnt have been any leak, trapper is just bad overall, its stats are mediocre, I wouldnt really mind, but its painfully slow which make it even worse.

the reason why is trash because it have trap limit if they make it like a spike factory from btd6 that have no limit is should be cooler and better

Trapper is the tower you use when it dropped and then never again excpesially if you got accel and g mini (my opinion sorry all the beginners feelings I hurt its really not that good)

instead of making their "own trapper" they could 100% copy tbz and make his traps better
(bear = longer stun)
(mine = gives now burn ( 0.75% of enemy health dot for 4 seconds ) ( for bosses 0.1% to not make it too powerfull ))
and the classic spike trap make it stun ( 0.5 seconds ) but aswell do 5% ( max to 100 hp ) scaling of enemy health , that could make it average tower, i guess?
instead of the percentage thing just make it do normal damage

I wouldn’t say trapper is “trash”, but it just isn’t meta like accel or engineer, its mostly a support tower thats only good for leaks.

The deadzone is just one of the major things that make the tower mid, just look again at its DPS and horrendous splash
