Hey! Tester for Project: Tower Defense here, it's currently closed down because the game has been undergoing development for a huge update, but basically it's closed and only available to testers right now. We'd really appreciate it if you played it when it comes back out. Maybe even with a few of the testers or developers.
To add, the game actually has plans for a rewrite. This means player data will be wiped except for gems, event towers, and event skins (I'm not sure about old badges though). It's supposed to allow players to experience the game as inteded.
We're sorry about the fact P:TD is closed, it's just that the devs are working really hard to get a huge update out in such a small timeframe. Hope to see you on P:TD eventually!

As a World TD fan I find it really interesting that you considered the gameplay slow. Personally, I always found it's gameplay to be the fastest paced out of all td games on roblox, with even the hardest modes only averaging around 20 minutes. Though tbh, World TD is so far from what's traditionally considered a Tower Defense game that i'd argue it's more of an RTS than an TD which is probably why people have such polarizing views about the game.
Edit: Also, absolutely adore how damn brutally harsh you are on the slop gambling td games, most of them deserve it
How far did he get anyways because looking at the footage I doubt he beat casual looking at it. He might’ve just died to the menace or brutes and if he died to the menace, it would make sense why he thought the gameplay was slower

Fun Fact: the creators PGTD actually made a gambling version of their game as a late april fools joke, but it ended up being more popular than the original, and is now getting updates cuz of it.

Big wtd nerd here. I can sorta agree, the earlier modes are a bit sluggish early on. BUT! Later modes get really exciting and fast paced, such as arduous and treacherous. You should check it out some more some time in the future, I would love a video on it!!
It's also worth mention the early units are pretty basic but many other units have unique mechanics and the accessories is really unique among TD games. At least this video isn't John Roblox kind of review.
Yeah but for me wtd just doesnt have a consitstwnt grinding methods idk how to explain it but i like when games have simple grinding mechanics like tdx or tds but i trully dont know how medals work bcs its never explained to me anywhere
Really cool video! altough i would appreciate if you put some more time in cube defense, it's my all time favourite TD game on roblox and there's so many cool things and towers! altough i know the design of the enemies might be simplistic, it gives more of a kind of charm to the game! would really like you to try the game again or play it a bit more!

So glad to see Arena Tower Defense being reviewed. Saying the lobby is stuffed with little details is an honest understatement as there are a lot of secrets in this game, which results into badges. One example is continuously drinking the Ruby Latte, and another is the code to the staff room. Honestly, the game can be picked up easily as it is not as tedious in grinding compared to other games, and there are at least unique challenges for the boss event which rotates once in a while, also know as Ghost Pepper and Carolina Reaper. And for the modelling, yeah its not the best quality but honestly, it is all simple and its fine anyways. Still cool to see you review the game
P.S. yes i am a tester of the game, but i still mainly focus on playing the game itself

You should try Tower Galactia. The game has barely any players, but I’d say it’s a pretty fun and difficult td game. There’s also a story to the game. Unfortunately the game got discontinued

I and PRAYING you played World Tower Defense, Critical Tower Defense, and Doomspire Defense. They may not have the best build quality, but can be either challengingly fun, or plainly charming with their style.
Hi, back after I finished the video, I'M SAD WTD AND CTD GOT MIDDLING SCORES 😭
WTD's ealry game is indeed slow at times, but the average match is 12-16 minutes long on both Casual and Burdensome, after the first boss, that's when gameplay picks up in speed for Burdensome mode, Casual makes you wait slightly longer for the gameplay to pick up.

If you play tower heroes with friends and all the events you will understand why it´s a 11/10 It just has features no other TD games have like building so please try it

Project tower defense did glitch, but now it's closed for testing. The next update is extremely large (literally the biggest update for ptd ever: new towers, new maps etc) , and as a tester for it, I can say: u will have to wait for quite a while before it's out lol.

The most underrated TD game is adventure tower defense, you basically start in park and when you beat that you keep unlocking more areas, unlocking more towers, and after the "city" map the game gets really hard and challenging (in a fun way!). The matches are also insanely short, early game areas take around 10 minutes each to beat (park around 6 if ur fast lol). I definetely reccomend trying it out!
The game is discontinued though that's sad but its still rlly fun to just give a try, i'd say the models and ui are bad but the gameplay is rlly good (atleast, at later stages.) theres also perks which add to the strategy and the maps get extremely hard and tough the more you progress

@@propellarsthis is probably just a personal nitpick from me, but I honestly find arena tower defense really fun. Though I don’t play as much as I used to, the waves are endless once you go into endless (obviously), and the boss scaling is honestly absurd, in a fun and challenging way. Like the wave 300 boss has 2 billion health if I remember correctly. Though it obviously wouldn’t appeal to many people due to its theme, which I understand your middling score, but the select people who are engaged in the game would definitely rate it higher.
Pixel Gun Tower Defense made a part 3 and it revolves around gambling. Basically the owner was mad he put so much time into his original game just to get destroyed by other tower defense games that have heavy gambling.
Wtd is really fun once you start actually grinding even if you are pretty good in the game and almost have everything, there is still a progression system so you can still grind for something after unlocking everything and it rewards you with pretty cool cosmetics
As a cube defense fan, i understand the rating on a surface level, but deeper in this game is great, all of the towers are unique and it has lots of content, also if you make a part two you should try tower galactica and monolith defense

I would recommend you trying it out again, its kinda hard to start playing but its one of the td games with the most replayability.

There are lore stuff too connected to it which can be seen through mails and many more 😶🌫! Only the oldest towers have the free models since they were made back then when Bili_Billie was a solo developer

there’s inspiration from arknights, which is definitely the coolest part
phantom tower represents phantom, the fast redeploy unit in arknights
while vanguard represents penance, a tanky defense that generates shield on kill (def way more inspiration from arknights/other games but those are just the ones i know)
i don’t disagree with his opinion, but it’s def biased how because he has played games such as tds or tbz he rates them higher due to having more unlocked content

A nice one that does the retro style quite nicely is Brick Defense. It has a tiny playerbase, frequently dropping to zero players, but receives active updates and it's clearly loved by its devs. The UI is a little messy, and it has a few confusing mechanics, but the towers are cool, the soundtrack is nice, there's a tower that is literally just called nuke, and don't place more than one rokkie unless you want your computer to become a pizza oven.
i will say this all star tower defence has codes so new players can get better stuff and when you see the animation them it gets good also you have to press skip for the awtd if you don't it really changes nothing also love your vids

It's a seriously good game...for how unique it is
There are multiple types of towers: stationary, moving, building, cliff, floating,... Some long ranged, some made for purely kamikaze for bosses or something else threatening
the "cooldown" you mentioned in video is basically a requirement for the game to work since you can just infinity bait any enemy away if there Is no cooldown.
There are also accessories to change your tower stats or rework it completely to different types of tower or even using the enemy to fight for you
yeah that's definitely one of the games that I would need to play a lot more to really see the full scope of, but the cooldown is still annoying to me because I need my instant dopamine hit from spam placing towers

One of my personal favorite TD games is Project: Sentries
The gameplay is vastly different from an average Roblox TD game, and is very reminiscent of PVZ. It's unfortunately discontinued but I really recommend that you try it out. Also, just like many others in the comments, I do also recommend Tower Galactica however the juicy parts of the gameplay is only at the later stages.

there's actually a pretty good amount of maps in Doomspire Defense that do something, like the speeding wall which kills the player, and stuns every tower in the map for a few seconds
you should play noob tower defense (made by RedRuby Studios not the other mid one) and Atratica defense both very underrated games with nice modeling, animations, and mechanics that makes it unique, its sad no one knows about it

It kinda surprised me and concerned me that I played 70% of these games (90% if the ones i see and join for a bit counted). Overall great video
I wanna recommend some of these lesser known games. Geometry defense, world tower defense, toy defense, scp defense, cube tower defense, pixel gun tower defense(there’s a pixel gun 3 and it’s the same game but with gambling and easier game play).
The top good TD games are
Tdx,tds,TB,tower blitz, and tower hero-ish.
All the other gambling anime skibi toliet games are trash and you shouldn’t touch them
I know from experience, they hurt to play.

I feel like tower heroes is so underrated when talking of roblox tower defense games I really enjoy the art style it takes the characters are both creative and feel great to play (it’s not just place down your accelerators and win) there is many viable endgame dps towers difficulty on maps feels great aswell as very open and lifelike maps that you actually like to be in and pretty well paced gameplay and one of the most fleshed out skin, emote and collectables system I’ve ever seen in a tower defense game and a great modifiers system.

Bassicly pgtd BUT Slot Machines, Sols RNG Stuff Like Being Able To Get A Mythic Proto Or Basic Proto, Claw Machines, Modifiers So Much More Harder
[Secrets like neutral ending that needs you to be lvl 40 and be a Parkour pro, bad ending to have 10k spins in the slot machine etc]
Also it has more currency then the og pgtd, with 3 new currencys
Bassicly, most ppl who hav played pgtd then came to pgtd3 think its an april fools version..... but the devs made it clear that its cannon
TB will always be in my heart. It started my love for tower defense genre, it open up such a unique experience at first. After a while, I switch over to btd.
Crazy how between this video and the last video doing this, the biggest td game (Anime Adventures) rose to fame and then got taken down without you being able to play it.
IMO it was on the level of TDS, besides the heavy monetisation. The quality was unreal with the VFX, models, maps etc. Very well polished game, possibly even more so than TDS.
Definitely a 9/10.

It also takes 20 hours to get the best tower in TDS and only about 5 in AA.

It hurt me when he gave world tower defense, a 5/10 also the cool down was because you can bait enemies cheaper towers and if you’re constantly able to bait them. It becomes pretty easy.

In my opinion, its a game that can interest you, but after some time, you get bored. It has cool skins, so you should check them out. (Its only gambling is for skins, the towers are all bought out)

Try Skibi Defense, yes I know it's an skibidi tower defense but it has a pvp and endless mode and some cool stuff (it doesn't have gambling for towers you actually choose which one to buy)

A game that I have personally put a lot of time into is untitled tower defence game. It’s getting a massive update in July so hopefully more people will play it.

You know, TDS remains a well-liked game despite the whole past involving drama and plagiarism accusations, Planet being enemies with Below and that's it...
TDS even had its own flawed updates like hardcore testing, delaying updates, and lunar overture act 3 (worst defend the center event). Managing to improve on its own, TDS also has a consistently high player count that still stands up to this day. TB remains a classic to us, as we remember it. Well, I guess I liked TDS and TB (alongside other good TD games like Tower Blitz, and TDX), not to mention I have a strong dislike over skibidi td games and anime td games

As a tower defense game developer, we as average scripters, can create the concept of toilet tower defense in hours.
All you gotta do is make the rng generation system that is so simple that it could be made in just 2 scripts. Obviously, the actual td part will take longer as you gotta make the whole gameplay, but if I just slap the “drawing 🤓🤓” system and “skibidi toilet 👨🚽💯💯🔥🔥” models my game will basically be toilet tower defense lmao.
I am so disgusted in “Telanthric god 🤡” turning from a bedwars CZcamsr into a game printer. His bedwars from dollar store failed miserabley as it is just bedwars but bad. Everything about it is stolen from bedwars and no changes were made. I don’t know how in the mind of a teenager/man, he didn’t realise that.
For toilet tower defense, he stole the aspects from all star, and combined it with simulator game’s trading, and afk system. When toilet tower defense got released, all my friends just got sucked into it. They never really gave a fuck about me anyways but after that, they just said I was yapping and salty when I pointed out the obvious flaws in the game’s design, and how it will go up quick and die down quick.
Unlike my predictions, the game is still up and booming. I really hope that propellers would see this comment.
My favorite TD game I'm grinding rn and it's doomspire defense. And I'm telling you the incident side mode or event thing is amazing. It's hard and has alot of details from the 2011 Roblox hack. And like you said it brings in that retro feeling
toiet tower defense had started making very good animations by the way but only for very good units,event units and P2W units, still if you know the values of the units and know how to play very good then you will love it :)

@@propellars As someone who only plays tds and the house td i can agree for a beginner its awful,but after you start progressing a bit which you can by avoiding MOST of the gambling by doing story mode and endless which is extremely easy tbh , as a lvl 150 at that game the only bad thing about it is how grindy the game actually is bit to be fair it isnt even p2w a f2p player can get anything so long they grind enough to trade since the trading currency of the game is relatively easy to get

You revaluate CTD, it is one of the most unique TD games on roblox, it has some really good mechanics to the towers, enemies and maps and it got a nice gameplay with cool secrets too, it's pretty great.
tbh, blub defense is really fun to me just because you actually have to be active to play the game, you can't be afk on the levels or you'll die instantly.
