Riflemen can actually be really viable since their fast spawn speed and long range let them stay far from the action and stack up letting them accumulate a ton of DPS. Its kind of map dependent though.
I tried solo fallen on wrecked battlegrounds and starting from wave 30 they start stacking and on wave 40 I had around 70 of them and they shredded fallen king in 15 secs ( not including his guards)
The one thing that i love about tds communities is the content creator supporting each other and sometimes the player cause when i first play the game i got some help from some player
crossroads is almost PERFECT for this tower as the back is good for tower and knowing the insane 20 percent damage buff at max level it can be really good for support and dps.
Actually the buff the base gives is a DAMAGE buff, not a FIRERATE buff like what commander gives. Its a whole new give of buff which is why its so good (well, new if you dont count warmachine since its dev exclusive).
@KenuYTB riflemen Can be used with airdrop to shoot from very far away and stack opón others, Which gives a massive advantage, for some reason and it’s understandable to not notice this riflemen also has anti air in hardcore.
Honestly rifleman, even with the lower dps, it can be VERY powerful if you spam the airdrop ability, you just get so many in a small space, it’s just a beam, personally I use : base 1 = rifleman, grenadier, medic, base 2 : same as base 1, base 3 = riot guards and medic, might change it a bit cuz of the 3-4 unit upgrade for medic tho, the chaos it will do in duo and quads is gonna be impressive
the main flaw with Merc Base is how its damage buff code is similar to pre-fix Commander , where DJ won't increase its ability range , which hurts the tower a lot considering its already small range . Not only that , it is fairly hard to use since you want to place it as far from getting rammed as much as possible , and at the same time , be able to buff your main dps towers , making it map dependent , and you cannot gain good value in the late game right until you unlock the Riflemen Upgrades, Riot Guards and Field Medics (keyword : late game. this tower is overpowered in early game) But Merc Base , despite its flaws , does NOT disappoint at ALL . Its fairly controversial since its not really worth replacing DJ or Commander , two of the best support towers in the game , and the mentioned flaws hurts the tower and people's perspective a lot , making it really controversial . Merc Base definitely deserves its Level 150 lock , since the towers locked via levels aren't necessarily meta , only meant for when you want to use a fun alternative , which are very strong at the same time . Merc Base is so much stronger than Pursuit , not in terms of late game DPS , but use potential . Its very viable for all stages in the game , has a really strong buff that when used correctly , can merit strong results , and can be used at pretty much any game mode whenever ur gonna duo / solo . The tower's strongest feat is basically how its pretty much a staple of Solo Hardcore loadouts , often seen with the Pursuit and Ranger , now working as an even better alternative and replacement for the Jester . I'd say I'll give Merc Base a solid High A tier , its not very overpowered that its a must-use-in-every-game tower , but its also a very powerful that you can't say its very weak either , despite being very situational .
i personally feel that rifle man is the way to go, as of two things: One, they all stack because of other towers like accelerator clearing majority of the waves. 2, with the airdrop you can really build a defense with it, getting something similar to crook spam. Just my opinion tho. 😊
Necromancer and mercenary base COOK the molten boss. Spawned the skeletons and deployed the mercs from the plane. Molten boss dropped like 40-50k health INSTANTLY with most of the skeletons left over to and I think some mercs.
Idk why but I played a round, when I placed the tower and maxed it, so it can give a damage buff to a Engineer, after I deleted the new tower, the Engineer still got the buff, Idk if that should be normal
6:58 The free accelerator comes from a tower that costs 71.400... So uh if we remove the price of an accelerator aka 54.900 the real cost of the tower without the 20% dmg buff would be... 16.500
Remember that DJ reducees 25% of it's cost, so 71.400 X 0.25 will be 17.850 cash spared, which means that with max DJ, you get way more value from getting 1 more max accelerator

fr 2 mercenary based with all riot and 1 with all medic and then place the airdrop in front of the boss so that riot can gain speed and bang 60k hp gone
Mercenary Base Levels in a Nutshell: Level 0: Rifle Men Level 1: 2 Rifle Men Level 2: Grenadier Level 3: Stronger Units + Damage Boost Level 4: Medic Level 5: Riot Guard + Ability Level 6: Even Stronger Units + Damage Buff is Doubled
The forcefield does two things First, it protects 3 humanoid units(4 at max) from all stomps, breaking afterwards Second, it gives the units one tick of collision damage, In simple terms, it DOUBLES the hp of the unit, breaking afterwards It takes a few seconds to put a shield after breaking and it can only affect humanoid units( anything except mil base, sled on elf camp and engi sentries)

grenadier can do 10x better bc its an explosive tower lol
Grenadiers have double the dps, even with a single target, there's no reason to use rifle men except for hidden detection
I was able to solo Molten with Riflemen, lol. (Including 1 medic)

If you stack grenadier units it can deal insane damage. I’ve tested it and it can take out thousands of health when they all shoot

Can you do hardcore with humanoid moving tower like mercenary, mil base, elf camp
The 20% buff on the engineer is kind of useless since it doesn't affect the sentries

Yo, what should I do? I pressed 'claim' to claim the mercenary base, but it won't appear in my inventory. Any suggestions to fix it?
I'm just a tiny bit disappointed that the cannon on the base itself doesn't fire, i don't care if it does paintballer damage it would look cool

Btw doesn't commander buff firerate not damage? So technically if you have dj, commander, and mercenary base you'd benefit from all 3 buffs.
