Definitely scout because of its cheap price and hidden detection can make it decent as an early game tower, painballer is kinda just there ignoring the hidden enemies and doesn’t do well in the long run.

Nice video, idk how u get it so visually stunning. I feel dps isn't the right metric for tower comparison, something like total damage would probably be more spot on, tho it can be tricky to define. obv can try dps times s but a little hard to calculate s, though knowing the total time of the wave does help and maybe just have it on the final boss because thats very simple to understand.

Fun fact about accel: the lvl 5 accel witch is called "vessel of infinite destruction" actually spells V.O.I.D if you turn it into an acronym, which states at lvl 5 accel's particle accelerator turns into a void matter gun or, lazer? Idk.

Since both towers can be stunned now, it can really hinder their dmg, even so. Ranger can’t really be viable with tough crowds like a horde of breakers on wave 33 on fallen, because of its slow firerate, sire breakers also struggling but it can almost stay consistent
Ps. Ranger could be stunned during the act 2 release of Lunar Overtune, fixed now

He most certainly is, for example, molten boss can throw its fireballs on it, which will stun it (though, it wont get stunned by the shockwave) @@MosaelTitasMatani

ranger's range buff actually nerfs towers in the long run. You're normalizing the 50% range, which only lasts 20 seconds. So don't be surprised if some towers can't hit enemies later on.
Lemme break things down. 6 reworked rangers at maximum DPS deal the same DPS as 10 "classic" rangers. However, 6 reworked rangers at minimum DPS deal 200 DPS less than 10 classic rangers. As we discussed, the range buff can actually be more of a hinderance than a help. Furthermore, adding more range to ranger doesn't buff it, because classic ranger already had a huge range.
And if you think it's gonna be used in the event, think again. Act 1 only had hidden enemies, the map was small so most of the range would go to waste, & in general, there were more hordes than bosses. Act 2's early game could be cheesed by g soldier, and in my case, the witches were dealt with via mortars, leaving me & my teammate to just spam the most cost-efficient stuff we had.
and if you didnt have g soldier or g scout, you could easily place wardens and snipers and easily get through phase 1 no problem
usually, i prefer using accel instead of ranger because of its better dps and its hd, but i would use both of them on harder difficulties but on lower difficulties is not recommended to brought both ranger and accel bc of their expensive upgrade cost (or maybe dj can solve the problem) gud vid btw
It all comes down to the situatio,accel for more close up damage and can handle hoards well while ranger is better for single type damage and the longer the map the better due to its Insane range

Though it falls off in trio/quad matches due to the fact your cowboy needs to compete with your teammate's towers, thus leading to a slow, to even terrible, early game where you'd use cowboy in

The thing is ranger does not get stunned by most of the bosses stomping on the ground, so you don't need to take medic if you use ranger as your main tower and save 1 more slot for another tower
ye but most of the time accel still kills the bosses faster than ranger even after getting stunned.

Really, both are the best with damage or range, we know that they are one of the two best options, but I understand that others like the ranger more.

ranger is more of a team tower with its range buff and ok dps for solo games accel is just way to good but ranger is a nice change if bored from the game
Being completely honest, I would much rather have mortar deal with flying enemies since they usually come in groups rather than ranger who barely has any splash damage. Overall, I think ranger is just not a great dps option. Ranger is just too costly.

Since accel is super good for speedruns, mid tame, and late game, its much better for ranger, however ranger is much better for bosses like jack o bot, void reaver, lord exo, etc. as well as having flying detection, its super good for strong waves
how do u know if it's better for lord exo? what if there's 0 cliffs or he specifically targets and kills cliff towers? plus jack o bot can stun cliff towers. same with void reaver.

Can you do Turret vs. Gmini or even 6turrets vs. 12 mini (normal minigunner). Minigunner seems a bit too powerful now days lol

are we not gonna acknowledge accelerator being unable to target anything other than the first thing it sees? That's what gets you killed in stuff like hardcore and PW2, boss summons. accelerator can get caught on things and never be able to defend you until they die.

accelerators also get dmg from hidens while rangers dont in this case u need to count the dmg of accelerator by subracting total health hidden when u do this u will find out with coa chain actually ranger can be better than accelerator

over all ranger is better for modes like hardcore pollutedwastelands but for easier modes accels better
bro? there's barely any cliff space in pw2. mortar does a better job in hc with it's aoe overall. just cuz strats like lucille use it doesn't mean it's better. u can use accel and it does great. also the fact that ranger can't hit targets should be accounted. hiddens are pretty common.
He tested on Molten :) If u test on Fallen u will see accel and ranger dealt same dmg. In HC ranger deals more than accel. Ranger is better vs stronger bosses. Even tho he cant hit invis,his dmg output still goes highr than accel in serious modes.

Ranger is getting buffed so much that it might be as good as accel and it's still forgotten
I'd say ranger is better for late game because you actually might lose with just somehting like accelerator and a crowd control for the other enemies, unlike ranger that even if it take long to kill something like the fallen king its still EXTREMLY more reliable

Ok so with accelerator there’s one problem: when it usually attacks there’s a chance it will attack strong enemy and let seals to the base meaning that it’s not that reliable like ranger. Also accel relies on commanders
accel doesn't rely on commander. u can win without it. ranger relies way more on commander. struggles with hordes aswell. the situation u described usually can be solved with the accel simply killing the tanky enemy then targetting the leaks or simply bringing a early game tower that can translate into late game. accel only takes 2 seconds to charge also: h i d d e n. d e t e c t i o n.

Player 1 -> does the usual farming strategy from wave 1 to 8
Player 2 -> place military base and upgrade it once

Ranger is more for bosses as its huge damage can shred bosses and especially with the long range, accelerator is also good to shred bosses but does not have all the range that ranger has but is better for crowds and also cost less. Overall accelerator is better for more scenarios than ranger is.
