Here's some more proof that Engineer is now better than Accelerator
Engineer is now cheaper and more reliable than accelerator (no overcharge, sentry shields and splash damage)
1 max engineer costs about $53,400 and costs a total of $320400 to place all 6 max for a dps of 2996.76.
While 1 max accelerator costs about $54,900 and costs a total of $439,200 to place all 8 max for a dps of 2934.
Engineer is really good now and better then accelerator at some cases but accelerator with commander has the highest dps reachable but we all know commander energy buff got nerfed

You did forgotten most important thing that Accel lock on enemy until it die, so for example he will target Soul Stealer and souls will go into base, and you will die, but Engi doesn't lock on the enemy, so when Soul Stealer will spawn souls, all sentry will target these souls, saving your game.

well, engi still have small downside which is that she cant recieved the full benefit of commander and merc base buffs, but why need that when you can do alot of raw dps

The only reason i would say that its not better than accel yet is because the sentrys get beat up by bosses so the dps fluncuates

5.36 DPS for 750 is not decent, that's really good, especially considering the range is also good.
Engineer is still better that accel even with damage flag which can increase accel’s damage to around 60ish and the cooldown flag can stack with commander’s ability so yes they are both evenly matched I think the damage flag is 20% I believe let me check. Edit: it’s 40% not 20% so that means engineer’s damage goes up to 84 damage which is a huge increase in dps so engineer is better and more worth it welp time to spend 3 months grinding for it. 😔

Cowboy might look to get more on paper as in getting more money every 6 shots, but the thing is, if you have like 10 maxed cowboys they can only give u good eco if the enemy has a lot of HP, and by that time u already have ur late dps ready up so

Engineer and Accel together would be deadly. Engineer is good for the early, mid, and late game with rockets that do good splash damage. Accel shreds bosses and has early hidden detection. 2 of them in the same game would be too overpowered.
engineer still tends to kill bosses faster because of the consistency of its damage while accelerator has to charge back up

@@NoahCalhoun-vo8te Accel's charge up isn't that long. I think you are right when you are talking about gamemodes like molten and intermediate, but in other harder gamemodes I think they will manage to attack together.

Okay, but I thought engineer was supposed to be a jack of all trades? That doesn’t mean it should be as good as a sub DPS, but rather, it should be a viable option when compared to other main DPS towers.
The engineer before this buff was probably the most balanced. It could shred crowds, but there were definitely better options for bosses.
In addition, while it had lead detection, flying detection, & hidden detection, it didn’t exactly specialize in any of them, making the tower more balanced. The partial stun immunity was also balanced.
The current engineer is just too OP, and makes me wonder if they’re really trying to balance the game.
Its because of the community theyre alsways saying accel is better and even know some are saying its worse than accel

The buff wasn’t a major one, the only major one was Sentries getting Hidden detection, otherwise, Engineer is still the same as before with 450+ dps

you see, most people still chose accel because it was more reliable with hiddens
but now that sentries got hd, engi is better than accel in basically every stat
more range, cheaper, better dps, splash, better targetting, less placement limit which means you can place more towers, basically stun immunity

In my opaion enginer right know needs a nerf i am not saying make it worst then accel thats stupid to think but i think they should make it have around 310 dps make is placment limite 8 and let commander buff sentrys sooo this will make enginners still better then accel while haveing less gap and NOT OVER 500 DPS TO BE BETTER THEN A TOWER (and ofcours flying deceting and coasting less)
You didn't know but with flags (CD flag, damage flag), commander: Accelerator can get to 771 DPS, and with merc base it can get to 800+. So we need to nerf accel now??
