- This is the story of our friends and family walking the Camino de Santiago (filmed in 4K) - along with more than 270,000 people who will walk the Camino in 2016. This is the sixth year that the group have followed the 'ways' of the Camino and it is the first year trekking the stunning Portuguese route to Santiago (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The Portuguese Way has a long history which can be seen in many of the buildings and architecture along the route. The city of Porto and the University of Coimbra are great examples of this and are both listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This is the second most popular Camino however, it´s less crowded than the Camino Francès. According to statistics from the Pilgrims office in Santiago, over 16% of those receiving the Compostela certificate walk the Camino Português - it is the fastest growing in popularity.

Superbly produced video - the Sony FDR-AX100 really delivers and is small enough to easily carry on a long walk like this, I reckon - and the footage is an excellent advertisement for the Portuguese Way. It has convinced me to do it once I've finished the last remaining stage of the Francés.

Im almost done with the GR13 down here in the Algarve and was considering doing the GRZ next......that was before watching this video. Starting from Lisbon and heading NoBo seems like quite a thru-hike. That being said, congrats on the vid. Great stuff imho. GG

What's the best month to do the Portuguese way and do you know if they have the service that transport your luggage from one point to the next
I did the coastal route this September and the weather was wonderful. The Espiritual Variante was something not to miss if you can. We did use a luggage transport a few times. Think it was called Sinmochilla. Had no problems. Highly recommend the Portugese Camino.

I believe it is a CZcams or vimeo username or subscriber not a company ,apparently you can you can now download a lot at good quality 4K stock footage on vimeo, hope that helps
