Avocado Toast Frap | Eat the Trend

- Avocado toast isn't just every millennial's breakfast staple - it's a way of life. We've come up with a new way to enjoy your brunch go-to: the Avocado Toast Frap! This creamy citrus shake is loaded with avocados and ice cream and topped with whipped cream and a perfectly prepared piece of avocado toast. Forget about unicorns and dragons - this is the frap that Starbucks needs to add to its lineup!
INGREDIENTS
2 avocados
1 slice sourdough bread, toasted
Salt
1 lemon
1/2 cup ice cubes
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
Whipped cream
DIRECTIONS
Slice ripe avocados in half and remove the pit. With 1 half, carefully remove the skin and slice into thin slices. Arrange on toast and season with salt and the zest from 1 lemon. Cut in half and set aside.
Place remaining avocado into a blender. Add the juice of the lemon, ice cubes, vanilla ice cream, milk, and sugar. Blend until smooth.
Pour into 2 glasses and garnish with whipped cream and half a slice of avocado toast.

Avocado shakes are actually pretty common in South East Asia, and lots of people enjoy it. Although we normally use condensed milk to sweeten and don't add ice cream, the taste should be pretty similar to this. It can be an acquired taste for some, but it does just taste pretty creamy yet refreshing.
I'd make this but I dream of owning a home someday so...

In Brazil we drink avocado smoothies. It's really good! It's honesty just avocado with milk and condensed milk. Don't knock it till you try it lol

It's weird depends from where you are. Here in the Philippines, we love avocado shakes. No need for lemon juice or vanilla ice cream just avocodo, sugar and milk. It's actually not common for us to eat it on toast. So before you say ew, try it. I swear it's heavenly!

I do a somewhat similar drink. I buy the matcha green tea frappe. BE SURE TO ASK FOR ONLY ONE PUMP OF SYRUP OR NO SYRUP. ☺ I take home and place in blender. I add half of a banana and half of an avocado, sometimes plain Greek yogurt and agave to taste and blend. Then I top with whipped cream. So good and a lot less guilt.

Omg the best way is the swap the milk and sugar for evaporated milk and condensed milk. It's naughty but tastes sooo much better and it's creamier !

not sure about avocado in sweets but i dont know you dont need a knife to remove the pit just scoop it out with a spoon alot easier, safer, and more effective
