Big news! The first ever line of RK9 Rides apparel and merch is out!

You missed out a great accessory. A handlebar-mounted SAM battery to take care of any pesky ah-64 Apaches or su-35 fighter planes. I picked one up off Amazon for only £5.50 and it really makes a difference
Nice to see someone taking security and safety seriously, especially having spent so much on a scooter :)
In my opinion if you’re going over 40-50km/h you should be wearing a lightweight motorcycle helmet instead, they do exist, they’re just not cheap. They do however provide a different kind of safety.
Love to see someone share my passion for riding electric scooters! I have the Kaabo Mantis too and pretty much have the same set up. Keep up the good work.
Thx for making this video! I needed it. Just ordered first scooter!
same, just ordered my first e scooter. Super excited!!
What did you guys get?
@@dorinatuble4098 I was wondering the same thing I guess the world my never know
I love this video. Thank you so much! Sold I got the things I needed, amazing content and breakdown
Another great addition to your scooter is a side mounted, fully stabilized Canon de 105 mm modèle F1 Rifled cannon from the 1972 variant of the AMX-30 medium tank. APFSDS munitions allow for the quick removal of heavily armoured targets. HEAT rounds are ideal for urban use, especially against taxis, police cars and family vans.
Might get those Strata for non-sunny ski days!
It's the law in Florida to have eye protection, but it's also common sense. I can't think of any reason to look at a phone while scooting, but I'm an old man. And as far as security goes, I always keep my scooter with me wherever I go. Good video though, but I love the simplicity of just riding. I always bring my backpack, so I need something I can put it in there. A multi tool, bottle of water, etc.
Nobody ever mentions a rear view mirror, which I find essential. Thanks for the vid!
Great presentation. Thanks for sharing this on CZcams.
Muti tool is a great thing to have for sure.
Thanks man,..
Holy cow, you’re going fast. I’m glad that you’re wearing the full helmet.
For those speeds, he should have on full gear... full moto gear!
A military pt belt is another amazing thing to have
You can either wrap it around you or your backpack & be move visible
I also have a Mantis. These are very good recommendations. Thanks for adding the links in the description.
is it still available i cant find it
Just a quick suggestion and it’s probably overkill. Got a motorcycle brake alarm that should help prevent unwanted theft. It’ll surely make a lot of noise before someone actually is able to steal your Mantis. Just a suggestion though. But i want that Mantis so bad. Where did you purchase yours. Thanks!
Goggles are a must. I get dust. Plus I have had a tree limb slice my eyeball
the one thing i would recommend is never leave ur scooter locked up anywhere most stores/shops will be cool if you leave it in the store in a safe place cuss im sure they know how much the cost
Nice vid, been into E scooters ever since i got my zero9 2 years ago.
I’ve just entered this world.....so many cool vehicles. It’s like mad max personalize your vehicle
I need to get more stuff. I have a turbowheel lightning and I just ordered the Demon United Podium bluetooth one off their website.
Do you have any grips you recommend?
Amazing vid. Thanks to you I ordered eagle one, wanna do some door dashing. Appreciate your work brother, like and sub 👊
Thanks a lot man❤❤
Thanks a lot, this is a really helpful video for us newcomers.
Well done mate, good tuit. Cheers Stephen "Down Under AUS"
Can you add tire slime or anything when they are brand new to help with getting a flat? If I do get a puncture it'll keep them going till I am somewhere safe?
Thanks for sharing
Great ideas, on the items needed. I’ll definitely purchase a few of your recommendations. Can you share the link for your headlight? I didn’t see this in the drop down list. I would appreciate this and keep riding safe. Cheers!
He uses Victagen 2400 Lumen light, you can find it on Amazon
Very well done my friend. Liked 👍
Your videos and insight into scooter life are the best on YT. Subbed mate.
Do you have any recommendations on how to lock a zero 10x? I can't seem to find any part of this scooter that can't be disassembled with a wrench.
Very useful 👍
Where did you order the handlebar from?
Great video, thanks
Great tips!
I need a big steering damper for my scooter if you have any idea where i can get one please
I’m receiving my first scooter this week (hiboy s2 pro) so thanks for the video.
SAME when are you getting yours? Mine should be here before the 25th
@@UrLocalYFZ Thursday the 18th
@@trevorroeder117 when did u order it? I just ordered mine like 5 hrs ago and im so exited I even bought a ton of accessories with it
@@UrLocalYFZ from hiboy website on Saturday.
If you swedish you understand it 5:00
So pretty much these are all if you are going on a road trip on your scooter
Just got a Mantis today and i plan on getting one of those dirt bike helmets but for now i gotta use a normal helmet so no way in hell am i going past 15 or 20mph.
I've got a kaabo mantis 10 scooter how much slime do i need for 10 inch tube tires ?
Love Your Theme Song. 🙂👍🏿✌🏿🙏🏾
can you drop a link to the stem extender? thanks
Can you link the handlebar extender
Thanks for the informative vid!
Great video.. Greetings from Denmark.
Great video
Can you do the slime method on the wheels of a FREEGO EV ES10 ELECTRIC SCOOTER
Do you have a phone mount for AovoPro
What scooter is that and where can I buy one
If you’re going to use a full face bike helmet make sure it is ASTM F1952 DH certified helmet.
what why
@@DyLemmaOG cuz they might just crack and just wouldn’t work
@@DyLemmaOG it’s easy to make a look alike that isn’t as safe.
G'day, I have a query regarding the Slime Tube Repair. I have used this product multiple times to do repairs while I'm out and at home. I follow the instructions on the bottle and this has never worked for me. Does anyone have any suggestions with this. I really don't understand why or what I may be doing wrong?
You did not mention (or use) a tire pressure gauge. Using it might prevent you from getting a flat in the first place.
Great video, im confused again i was going ti go with thet mantis pro, but then i can also get the dualtron eagle pro for the same price. Is the dualtron eagle pro better than mantis pro?
They are very similar scooters, I'm not familiar with the support that is offered for each of the companies in your area. I would go with the scooter company that has the best available service for repairs
@@RK9Rides what would you recommend between the Apollo Ghost and the emove cruiser. I live in Las Vegas not too hilly but hot. I'm a first time e-moped purchaser.
tire slime isnt really what i thought it be. I've two flats fail with that stuff.
what size helmet do you wear?
Very handy information. I am getting one tomorrow. I've been doing my research and the one I want for entry level is the hover 1 alpha which luckily my local Best buy has one in stock.
Did everyone buy a scooter at the same time because for some reason every where I try they are sold out.
So I’m stuck going 15 with the Walmart one for now
that is a gold video fucking sick
Can’t stop giggling about the name on your pump. “BŌG” means gay man in Swedish. 😂❤️
Nobody speaks that bullshit Nordic language
One thing you forgot.... a Small First Aid Kit with few bandaids, tissues, and especially a small bottle of Eye drops in case something gets in your eyes!
Hi love the vidzs. Question about the mantis, how is the stem holding up? Does is shake where it’s connected. I’m planning to buy one soon and was wondering how strong the lock mechanism was for the stem.
I haven't had any issues with stem wobble so far but I do know other people have issues with the stem on their mantis. I think the more recent versions of the mantis have had less issues with the stem
RK9 Rides ok thanks
Hello, it's a great video, thanks a lot, just one question about the kryptonite chain lock, what is it made of? I mean is it impossible for anyone to cut it and steal my scooter?
If you haven’t figured it out already, no chain is impossible for anyone to cut, if you leave your scooter out often I recommend getting multiple different locks, such as a U lock, chain lock and a disk lock
@@40money83 thanks, I bought a cheap lock from aliexpress, I don't ride my scooter as I used too anyways.
Wich handlebar extender should i buy for my kaabo mantis 10 pro? Many thanks 😉
Any generic brand will do
What a great video! Thanks and are you still loving the Mantis?
Thanks for the tips man. Im a new rider
Can you let us know where you purchased the handle bar extender for cheaper?
Check aliexpress
Aliexpress got everything really cheap it just takes a while to ship
always wonderd what kinda helmets peope used, had no idea there were helmets for mountain biking
Seems that the MTB helmets are the bulkier with the big visor and chin protection.
Should the tire slime be applied even before you go flat? in this case you don't have to bring that container with you.
The new formula SLIME 2-1 Tube and tire works excellent. 2 year warranty!! And yes it should be applied to prevent a flat , not after!!!
can you tell me what kind of electric scooter you are riding??
I got everything on the list, I will say tho, By the time i put my charger, I carry charger most the time, Too give it another boost if i can where i stop, Most cafe's will let you have a charge if you ask nice enough, I usually offer a few quid, But they often say don't worry, So i give it too a charity jar, But yeah by the time i put my D lock an chain, With a bottle of juice in my bag as well as the odd little tools, My bag weighs more than my scooter, lol, I got take my scooter up an down 3 flights of stairs, So a heavy back pack don't help at all, But i do take a few important supplies like pump, Puncture repair kit, Tools, An charger, I am saving up for a Kaboo Wolf Warrior, I heard Dualtron got a new line up for 2020, Just come out, Might even buy that new Duatron with the suspension thing on the stem, I think it called the ultimate or something, Only just heard about it, I will be checking them out tho, It's crap here in the UK, Law's on top of Law's, People moaning in the UK saying they too fast, Pisses me off, Its the person riding the scooter not the scooter riding the person, I got body Armour, One thing you never mentioned, I think is important, I had a crash at 30 mph an it sucked, But if i never had body armour on an a full face MTB helmet, I would of been in hospital with a broken shoulder an cracked skull, Learnt my lesson i can tell you that, Coz it sucked, But now i had a few little falls, I know how much i can push my scooter an not fall off, Made me a better rider ironically, Fastest i have had was 46 mph, with help from a little hill, An it the best fun i had since i was a teenager, Lets just say since i have had my scooter i ain't got on a bus, An after 6 months of carrying it up an down my steps, An all the off road i done my arms are getting bigger, My gut's getting flatter, So it a miss conception these scooters are lazy, Do an hour off road at high speed, Then tel me they for lazy people, PEV transport is the future, I am gutted the UK is not embracing Electric scooters like every other country, Meant too be some 250 watt limit being introduced, Fuck using a 250 watt scooter, lol, Insult too an adults integrity, The police already pulled me on my scooter, But they was OK, I had all the gear on, Go pro on my helmet, 2, 5000 lumin's lights, An 2 Hero beams, A bunch of red flashing light's, Even the police pointed out it is nice too see, Most people only got one, They told me too stay off the roads, They was actually Kool as fuck, But yeah PEV transport is the future of travel, An infrastructure needs too be made for this type of transport, We got nothing in the UK, Hardly any bike lanes, Like i said the UK is 20 years behind most countries at the moment, Taken over by Brexshit, Falling behind, UK needs too wake up......
Great point about the body armor. I'm a first-time buyer living in NYC. E-scooters and E-mopeds are illegal in NYC and several police officers I asked got upset at me for asking the rules. Anyway I'm saving up for a black Mantis Pro, e-moped, and folding e-bike.
I want to add two white Angel/Eagle Eyes to the front, and a red one on the back as a tail/brake light.
Do you happen to know of a CZcams video or website that has tutorial on how to wire them up? Thanks
@@WHITELIONNYC I would speak to Either, Alien Rides, Wrong way or Ginger on wheels, I will put there links in if you want, But if you just put their names in CZcams, You will see there video's, Either of these people are really good at their reviews an ect, But yeah ask any one of these people i just mentioned an they will get back too you, I don't do reviews an that, I am in middle of saving for a kaboo wolf warrior 11, Tho the new line up of dualtron are due out soon, Or are already out, Which only means Kaboo will prob be bringing out a new line up, Hope so, Nothing worse than paying top dollar for a scooter too find a new model out a few weeks later, Might even E-mail Kaboo asking if they is got a new line up in the post, Hope so, The future of travelling is PEV.....................
Oh yeah always suit up, You never know, Even the best come off, It a fact of nature lets just say, You will fall off, lol..............
@@mad-b264 thanks brother. I'll do all of that. Stay safe!!!
💪🏻🤓😎🤓😎🤓😎🤓😎🤓😎👍🏻
@@WHITELIONNYC They the only ones i watch really, Wrong Way got some top vid's, Check his high speed vid's, 99kmh on a zero X11, He is part of the Electric unicycle community, An yeah Alien got some top vid's, He got some amazing drone shots, An he was the first too test out the Rion's, Happy PEV riding bro..............
@@mad-b264 thank you brother. I'll give it another chance. I have to admit I wasn't in the best of spirits at the time because I was very frustrated with my bank. I'll delete the "not so happy" comments I left.
💪🏻😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇👍🏻
But can Google fit over prescription glasses?
m365 so hardly a helmet but have a bike one... wanna mantis lite next so maybe upgrafe all then but prob wouldnt go much over 20mph
I'm not a speed demon either but I guess I'm a safety demon. First-time buyer here I'm going overkill with my head to toe protection.
I recommend knee pads. If you go down your knees will likely be involved in making contact with the pavement. I would never recommend a cell phone holder. If you crash, your phone may cost as much as your scooter. Plus, cell phones are a distraction. I recommend a small digital clock for those who commute. I don't recommend riding in the dark, ever! Daytime driving is dangerous enough.
Ya, I just use my phone as a speedometer, as my scooter’s speedometer is off by to much
I agree bout the phone. Always wear gloves. U always land on your hands. Kingsong Panther has 40w front light good enough for night ride. Cheers and thanks for useful video.
You sound fun.
do they still sell this scooter?
Slime BEFORE you catch a flat. Never carry slime
What about motorcycle gloves !! I never ride without them . Leather jacket , body armour ?
Happy I aways choose solids, even happier I'm not made out of glass. But im a heavy commuter.. 🎉😅
Where’s the link for the head light youe are using?
He uses Victagen 2400 Lumen light www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GJC17KF/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=tonyhobbies-20&linkId=57d7562f0fc299a2fc5645983696f68e&language=en_US ;)
What about mirrors and left right indicators ?;)
Dam bro how fast you scooter go if you need that stuff
@@alexfishes868 Uhhhh those are exclusively safety features mobility wise. Telling others which way you're turning and being able to look behind you has nothing to do with speed lmao
Will that mtb helmet protect you when going 30-40 mph if crashed?
I have a fox v3 carbon fiber helmet but I think it offers more protection or its overkill?
It can never hurt to use more protection. I feel very safe in a MTB helemt tho. They are definitely made to take impacts at higher speed
@@RK9Rides thanks for replying
I got the handle bar extension off Amazon, and sad to say it doesn't work. It doesn't get tight enough.
Are you installing them with the plastic ring that goes around the bar? You have to include the plastic gasket if installing them on smaller handlebars
@@RK9Rides yeah man even with everything on it's still too loose. I guess that's why it's so cheap.
Dang sorry man, I'll remove that from the description
4:51 cost more than tool open it less than 5 second. lock is only for 5 min max on shop. even then if someone want take it they will take it
4:57 the item below your slime that says "BÖG sports" made me laugh alot. Not to offend anyone, but Bög means Gay (Male) in Swedish :'D So it literally says Gay sports on my language right there *giggles*
Did you use slime to ur mantis?
No, just my Hover-1 Alpha. I'll slime my Mantis if it gets a flat
5:43 Bruh the pump says gay in Swedish
gay sports
i am from norway
Hahahhah you don't want to know what "bog" means on Bosnian then.
Mountain biking helmets are not designed for impacts on faster scooters. You need the Motorcycle full face helmets if yours goes over 20Mph.
Is there any advantage (meaning will it work) to preemptively put 4-Oz of slime in a good tire?
Superb Media Content Creator yes, it will work. But after 2 years you need to fill up again a bit. I don’t know if 4 oz will work, you need to see how much you put in the tyre
I want a USB-C power outlet so I can power my phone off the Scooter battery, I had one situation where my scooter was locked and my phone battery died. I could not unlock it until I could power up my phone
I need that helmet
If you know you know
Not bad at all
Hi, I'm reaching out to as many people as i can.
I have a mantis 10 DUO 18.2AH 60V scooter SN KBTL121120082331.
I'm trying to find a wiring diagram for these two black ESC's (controller boxes) but no one can help me so far.
Is there anyone here that could maybe supply me with a photo of how the connects are all set up? or a diagram or anything. I have tried the manufacturers and many stores.
No one can help me so far.. Please if anyone has the model with the two black controllers can you please please help me with a photo or anything :( I beg you.
I would like to know why you can't make your tires on your stock eagle ones a little bit better can't you put Teflon in them so they don't pop so easy I've got $350 in new tubes for the rear tire only for $1,400 you need a big build a better tire for your scooters that don't pop so easy
You forgot to mention a e-scooter storage cover incase it starts raining ,cover it up and call a Uber
6:13 buy scooter that is impossible have flat tire. its like buy low cost road tires and you have puncture every day. then its time inves 3500 on dualtron and get offroad tires. never needed air lol even ride all winter. never neede helmet bcoz cant ride over 25kph its max limit
There’s no link for the bar extender
I got feedback that the one I linked wasn't fitting people's handlebars so I took it out of the description. You can search "bike handlebar extender" on amazon and find one there
RK9 Rides oh okay got it thanks
I would add turn signals and side mirrors to the essentials list. After all, most of us are riding with cars at some point and we should be communicating and safeguarding ourselves
Use your arm if your really that concerned
@@lman22 fr bikes been doing it for years
@@lman22 A stupid comment. If you hit a bump with only one hand on the bars, your going to crash. It has happened to many individuals.
@@Uojomo If you cannot see a bump and resist it with the one arm you are using you should not be on a 60km/h scooter
Saw a video that suggested using your leg as your turn signal. Works for me!
I went straight over handle bars at 32 mph on gas scooter didn't help my back
🙏🏿
The extender that you found only for less is a chinese copy, its not the same.
Do I need goggles for 15mph scooter?
You shouldn't need them below 25mph honestly. The wind pressure isn't very high until you get into the 30-40mph range. If you ride in a lot of dusty or wooded areas with a lot of insects they might still be welcome though.
@@captaincaveman8532 ok thanks
