"What the FUCK makes you think I was going to do that?!" Priceless
"What the FUCK made you think I was gonna do that?!"
I love David Mitchell so much.
I’m here 9 years later , still watching the same damn show 😂
Love your icon
They're good to rewatch once every two years or so😁
What are you doing with your life?
Wait a minute.... I'm here, too... what am I doing with mine?!!
I love British comedy! If only this were that.

"I'm not sorry it's stopped"- gotta love David Mitchell. He really does speak my mind.
I agree and I like most of his stuff, brilliantly dry humour...other than that shit com he was in playing the spear shaker....shite.
I definitely agree with him about Madame Tussaud’s.
Rob's "Little Man In A Box" voice is brilliant!
Anthony Hobson
agreed
Watching steve Coogan try it whilst the eat dinner is also brill!
Importantly ooooooopoop was o
I came across this comment just as he was doing it🤣
I was very glad to see David and Charlie standing up for everyone's right to not fucking dance if they don't fucking want to.
I want to see himstar in a Footloose remake in which he convinces a town of dancers to just stand still. Foottight maybe?
I love not dancing
Sadly though the audience really didn't get it 😑
@@cookeymonster83 lmaooo ur hilarious
@@AdriaanZwemer ìii
Love how when the girls scream at David and Charlie's introduction, David is taken aback whereas Charlie looks mildly annoyed.
So much respect to David for not dancing.
pear-pressure is a bitch
@@Jonnayeah peer. pears are fruit....
@spudnic88 Allot? Seriously? smh
My favorite bit of accidentally avoiding peer pressure
Ross: DUDE LOOKS LIKE A LADY
Rod: I FEEL PRETTY / I FEEL PRETTY
David: We didn't specify. We just said erotic ballad.
And a lot for Claudia at the end there too, trying to shut it down when everyone was pressuring him.
david and Charlie's team name should obviously have been mitchellbrook primary
I loved the part where they were both annoyed about being asked to dance. I feel the same way! I would totally be saying what David did...what makes you think that I would do that!? Lol
@@marywood8794 lol yeah
Oh wow, spot-on with that one. 😊
@@LPKelly380 thanks mate!
OMG, brilliant
Charlie Brooker and David Mitchell: The dream team
not so much Charlie
watch his screen wipes may change your mind
I raise you Noel Fielding and Richard Ayoade.
@@Joey_ott I'd take the creator of Black Mirror over David Mitchell every time, and I LOVE David's comedy!
Mitchelbrook primary school... David Mitchell... Charlie Brooker... Hold on a minute...
THIS!!!! This is the newest CONSPIRACY THEORY!!!!!
The clues were there all along.
They are both the fathers of all those kids at that school
What's funny about Jonathan Ross's Madame Tussauds story for me is that he actually uses the Japanese word for photograph as he mimics the Japanese couple (sha-shin). Can't believe he remembered that correctly!
David Mitchell looks so awkward in the beginning when they got a loud applause 😂
Aha, bless him and his awkwardness 👌🏾
Having read Back Story and seeing David pre-and post-Victoria on these shows is very interesting. He is so massively, obviously happier now.
+FloraWest Agreed - Though I think the anger he used to have lended itself to comedy really well.
lent
Or lended. You raving fucking simpleton
he said he was miserable after they broke up, he resorted to alcohol, he waited for 3 yrs.
@@malditaqu5210 Victoria is his wife, they haven't broken up
Jonathan: "I spent about 3 months looking at cats on the internet"
Russell: "I did a similar thing"
I felt that went under-appreciated
It got a round of applause tho
i dont get it
@@AanShovon he spent 3 months looking at pussy on the internet.

Russell Brand is so funny...
Russell brand is highly annoying most of the time. Occasionally funny, mostly annoying.
I genuinely have a shirt that says "I'm hired to sit here and be sarcastic" with a cartoon of David. I
I want a David Mitchell shirt that says: I'm was a timorous child too! Don't worry, you won't die!

Claudia Winkleman losing her mind whenever she knows the answer keeps me going all year.
Love how when Brydon's doing his Welsh Batman impression, there's the picture of Robert Pattinson behind his right shoulder
Look at the way Russel looks at David, it's pure admiration.
Pedro Capusso I'm not seeing it? Got a time stamp for me or something??
Gotta assume they meant Charlie
finally figured out who Jonathan Ross reminds me of in certain moments: Nicolas Cage
Lol
AAAHHHHHHHAHAHAHA YES its been eating away at me in the back of my mind for years
For me, Peter Cook.

I liked what you said but you were on 69 likes...it was a battle but i liked.
is anyone else completely in love with the random sounds claudia winkleman makes?
Oh David Mitchell XD I love that dude.
Watching this 11 years after, its surprising how many of the issues they talk about are still relevant if not more so today
Also, whoever decided to pair David with Charlie is a genius.
the chemistry between Claudia and Rob is magnificent
Claudia is extremely unfunny it’s hard to watch
@@markhadden1397 UGH THANK YOU. I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS !!!!!
I was thinking the same thing!
Love how at 17:34 when David was ranting about dancing Rob turned to the audience with a look in his eyes of "See what I have to live with on Would I Lie To You?" Love both David and Rob!
I think this was while Angus Deayton was still hosting WILTY. Or he might have done one series by then.
David mitchell calling out how cruel the cat being forced to play piano is, one more reason to love him
I also like the “I don’t get it, please explain it to me.” reply to the Jordan joke. It’s a subtle, easy way to make someone uncomfortable if they’ve just told a gross/inappropriate joke.

Everyone's talking about Jimmy's laugh... Where's the appreciation for Charlie's? I practically died when I heard that xD 1:19:52
It's five years old, but I still like this one best.
That man in a box voice around 25, wow.

I love Jimmy’s laugh and never want him to change it
another decade's about to be over and yet I'm still here

"With Synced Audio" - you know why we came here ;P
Am I allowed to make David Mitchell my hero, because he's the sort of person I want to be in my life.
WHY????
@@felixking6634 why not? He's hugely successful lol
I'm a fan of David Mitchell, however, pedantic know-it-alls are usually insufferable. David managed to make it work somehow.
I've heard Rob's impressions, many of the ones done in this recording, so many times... I gotta say, I still enjoy them.
team David and bizarro David
I love David Mitchell. He’s so freakin cute!!!
Charlie looked so bored at the beginning of this, like..."yeah, let's just start the bloody quiz, please". Love him, such a talented guy.
3:47 Russell says something like "what do you want to do?" and then "do we want to win?". I always knew that Richard, Noel, and Russell would actually be really good at these, but it's nice to see it more or less confirmed here that it's an actual choice to tank their scores - much like David Walliams and Miranda Hart did that year where they deliberately bombed nearly every question.
Watched this multiple time and never picked that up! Good ear, Sir!
Well, I'd say that was more a joke on their part than any confirmation. But im sure all of them could do much better than they show. :)
Which year was that
I love this show cause it's about as close to seeing them untethered and off the rails as you get on tv
idk, taskmaster is definitely close
@@esobelisk3110 that is very true and why I love that show just as much/more 😂
"I don't get it can you explain" is one of the best ever things to say to people
Even better to actually do the explanation
I like how Rob's "little man in a box" voice sounds American.
I really appreciate David Mitchell's cynicism. Also, he's right about mocking people's laughs, in the context of this show it's funny and they're all ok, but you don't wanna push it too far. I was teased for my laugh at school and it made me self conscious about it for years. Now I have about 12 different laughs, you got your bog standard that's quite funny, the nose exhale, the accidental snort, witches cackle, silent hysterics, random scream, and one very low pitched one that a lot of my family also seem to do 🤣 basically, if anyone mocks your laugh, don't worry about it, most people laugh weird anyway 😁
Most people. My laugh however, happens to be perfectly formed and pitched.
I really appreciate how you can turn yourself into a virtue signalling victim on any old random video, that's quite a talent you have there.
@@jamehofmann5855Appreciate how you can accuse someone of virtue signalling on even the most benign of comments. Quite a talent you have there.
I'm late to the party but David Mitchell was so right about those videos, animal and child abuse. Staples of the Internet as we now know
It took 10 whole minutes for Charlie Brooker to actually say something.
Haha, well done, David, for sticking to his guns about the dancing. I'm all for trying out new things and not limiting yourself, but if someone has given something a go and just doesn't like it, leave them be! The reasons are none of anyone's business.

I kinda miss this version of Russell Brand. 2009 was good times

He's still great
This is why Russell is supreme on this, he seems to always think of ideas instanteously.

this is the 7th or so episode I've watched and it's only the second time they've made fun of his laugh and I honestly thought it would be a subject of ridicule in every episode
