This is partially why men originally weren't allowed in the delivery room. Any man who says that knows nothing about how the female body works and also has zero respect for the woman that just carried and birthed their child.
This seems to be common. My mom had a hysterectomy at age 40 and the doctor leaned in and told my mom after she woke up that he put in a extra stitch for her husband.. but she never had natural births. Me and my brother were both C-sections. So for the last 18 years my mom has not had a sex life due to the extreme discomfort and pain she gets. It partly ruined her life. @Takln Trash It actually is. It's just not a necessary thing. It's offered or sometimes just assumed that you want it done. @@xdandychiggins shouldn't you wait 4-6 weeks to have sex anyway after childbirth?!? And I would imagine after getting stitches, it would take even longer because then after the stitches being taken out - you still have to wait to ensure there is actual healing, because nothing hurts like tearing fresh stitches. + I had only ever heard of stitches when there was an extreme tear (like to the anus) or when it actually hurt so much they needed to. I feel so bad for her and I told her she should of sued. He was a sweet doctor but he was not thinking of my moms health but for the man in her life instead. It makes my blood boil when I hear that women have been altered without their consent and only for the best interest of the husband or boyfriend. This is not okay and thank you doc for standing up for women and pointing out the hypocrisy.
