- I put together a list of the best weightlifting exercises that have helped increased my high jump, and I guarantee will help improve your high jump too. This advice applies to any vertical jump or track and field athlete honestly, BUT especially single leg jumpers!
included at the end is a "how you can make your own workouts" segment. Gym work has been a huge passion of mine, almost as much as high jump itself. Hope this is helpful and happy jumping out there fellas!

Let's go big man!!!
This will be very helpful in the future for my gym sessions
wow very useful informationl!!! thank you!!
Just want to let you know bro these kinds of videos help a tonnnn. Even having these exercises floating around in my mind and the general knowledge I get has helped my training immensely including the plyos from your last video. I was kind of thinking of giving up high jump because I couldnt clear starting height (152cm in the US) but about a week or two after seeing your plyo vid I cleared it with crazy height. Cant wait to keep getting better and your channel is a gem! Not much high jump training content out there but u fs setting the standard
Comment made my day man, honestly just glad I could help. Goodluck on the journey!
Thanks sir
Im only hitting about 185cm rn at 177cm but I'm going to implement some of these lifts into my powerbuilding split. Hope to see good results
Excellent video without sensationalism or any bro science! Thanks a lot! Not a high jumper but a basketball playing one leg jumper so lots of your stuff is very helpful!
Glad to hear man!
Could you make a video on the techniques and drills you use when you're jumping in season? Just some basic approach work and over the bar stuff? That would be super helpful. Love the content man❤❤
Of course my man, appreciate the comment and suggestion! In time :)
I’m a coach and this is so helpful! Ty!
Hope they keep hitting PB's coach!
First meet today of junior year cleared 5”11 😞 wish I did betger
As long as you keep jumping there's always more comps :). And 5'11 ain't no slouch!
hi due to high jumping fo 3 years calf on my left leg is way bigger than my right leg calf how can i fix that 😢😅
Do you strength train? Even if ya don't jump on the other, hitting some calf raises should even it out hahah. Altho personally I wouldn't worry boss.
@@matehj i recently started strenght training. thanks for the advice vro
Video on mobility and stretching? I know you’re doing something for that if you’re staying healthy!
Might one day, I have a very controversial opinion on mobility haha. But you're right I am healthy!
how tall are you?
6'2
Have you ever thought about trying our your long jump, you look like you would be really good at it, because your a speed jumper
I do it as many times in a season as I can. Recently jumped 6.87 which was a massive PB. I focus high jump but I try to get better at everything too. :)
@@matehj could you please include it in your Video, cause we jump around the same in long jump, but I’m guessing our ways of jumping it are complety different
@@boiceetegha1585 will do brother! Might be a while tho in off season. Altho I'll be doing some training for it :)
3:33 the way she shoots her legs straight is really not great. Your legs should gradually straighten with the extension of your hips. She extends her knees before she extends her hips.
You are right it isn't perfect, in a strict rdl ur knees shouldn't even move to be fair but that's how she's comfortable doing it.
More so wanted to show off how strong she is haha. Appreciate the comment :)
