Front high jump or rotation over the bar are different or not both are different then reply (if we have high jump competition and few use front high jump and some use rotation over bar then they qualified or not?).if both differ and both have different competition and different record then ok

The rapid high jump approach system cannot be executed correctly until the jumper understands the correct method of running forward into the conversion phase. The jumper enters the all important penultimate step in a relaxed manner. The jumper should have forward focus on the flight arc over the crossbar after the take-off step. During the penultimate step the jumper properly aligns the body continuing to move forward, including the grouping of muscles for a forceful transfer of horizontal momentum into vertical lift. The jump is complete, and the athlete leaves the pit!

This video discusses "what" is happening between the two jumpers but completely skips the "why." Anyone can watch a video of an athlete in slow motion and draw lines denoting their observations, but you have to really understand a sport/event to discuss why these approaches, angles, body positions, etc. are important and how they impact the jumper's performance. This analysis lacks any real content that will help athletes understand why they need to achieve certain positions during the various phases of high jump.

I’m a high jumper in 8th grade. I can jump pretty high but recently I’ve been siking myself out during the run up and then I don’t jump. I don’t know if you have any tips on how to not silks yourself out.

Just jump, don’t take too long before you go either. As soon as you get to your mark, get yourself in position and don’t wait to go

"the other uh part of the, uh high jump" = the other high jump standard. jumping over the "pole". Pole = high jump "bar".... some of your stuff is good but this video seems like a lotta jabbering about stuff you don't know much about. "{Drouin} is moving a lot sideways, which is very very interesting to see". Very interesting why? What about it?. Any actionable tips or insights, or is it just interesting to see a jumper have some horizontal travel over the bar, in additional to vertical jumping over bar? Also it appears that both jumpers' takeoff foot plants are extremely pronated. Barshim seems similar to Drouin here, not "opposite" as you describe. Okay that's kinda what I'm talking about . okay thanks

Great feedback and yes this was years ago when I was just starting.. Not nearly as concise and more nervous talking about high jump. Honestly love seeing the development and areas to improve 🙏🏻💯
