A top GK is our most important necessary signing, then an experienced elite centre back (where are those? The only one I see possible to get it Rudiger in a years times). An elite striker which the only truly elite ones I see in the world are harry Kane (who Poch developed, like he is with Jackson) and Haaland, are we going to get one of those 2 seriously?
      Jackson’s link up, dribbling and motivation to improve is exceptional. He has been robbed of a lot of assists this season and he has not given a lot of assists this season, this is part of the growth of this squad.

    I think we need to be careful in wanting to make “team-changing” alterations because of a victory against Everton. Gallagher is a great player, but the midfield issue is a coaching issue. Gallagher and Caicedo were either way too far apart from each other or too close together on either side of the pitch. This is what gives team like City and Liverpool to squeeze goals through the middle. Let us not forget that our best games against big team had Caicedo, Enzo, and Gallagher on the pitch. We have to be careful that our optimism does not dilute our realism. The major positive i see in all of this is: despite the fact we spend huge on midfielders and mudryk, we finally can say for sure that we must build a trophy winning team around Palmer. Before, we didnt really know because no one stood out due to the horrible team dynamic. This season, Palmer is the right player with the right mindset to push through the struggles and continue to be world class. He is our hope and literally saved anything that was left of our sporting directors’ reputation.

    On that interception note. Palmer has it down to a science. He’s done that SO many times. He plays mind games with goal keepers. If you watch in slow motion you can see him fake like he’s going to close down the other player and about a second before the pass he darts in front of Onana. So he tricked Pickford into believing the passing lane was open. It’s just sad he doesn’t convert more of these opportunities he creates but I guess I’d be nitpicking. Lol

      @@zasportinsider8439no the problem is all three of them and how they are coached to play. Think back at their best matches, City, Arsenal, Bounmouth, Villa and Fullham. They were holding each other's hands in all of those games with each player doing what they are comfortable with doing. Gallagher timed his approaches giving Enzo, Caseido or even Palmer a good chance to steal the ball, Enzo was always next to Caseido with Jackson, Gallagher, Palmer or more recently Mudryk waiting to receive behind the press and creating a temporary pivot. Gallagher is not a risk taker but he is a sense of security for the creative risk takers in the team. The problem is risk takers are being coached out of it and being told to play safe and the one person who is not a risk taker is being told to take risks. Porche's "play it safe" tactics only suits on player and the direct football that we are supposed to be playing suits a lot of players especially Mudryk who tends to spin players and charge forward to make a deadly pass or dangerous shots and Madueke the take-on kid. This is the problem and as much as you can argue that we don't have a 6 the truth is we don't really need it

    6:23 No we just haven't used Enzo's strengths that also goes for Ceseido and Gallagher. The only reason why Gallagher is kind of working because of his work rate, low risk team player and being technically average other wise we need a 6 single pivot 6 to utilise them full and anyone who thinks Lavia can fulfill that role is sadly mistaking

    Medium priority
    1 more attacking player (either a successful loanee or a new guy)
    A top tier gk (petrovic is decent, but we need someone great)

    Players are certainly developing under poch (apart from arguably our cbs although the changes due to injury isn’t helping). Tactically I’m not convinced by him, but lack of proper chemistry isn’t the ideal conditions to operate an effective system. keeping him another season makes sense to ensure whoever does take over has an incredible base of developing players with understanding of each others play. My concern is we bring in a world class manager and they can’t introduce their ideas due to the inexperience, lack of chemistry and underdevelopment. We need to remember to think in 3 year terms not only what’s happening this season

  • @goodies7813
    @goodies7813 Před 29 dny

    i prefer Reece James to play in that DM position than Gallagher, I think a midfield pivot of James and Caicedo would be more effective in a 4231 formation, but I prefer the 352 formation, where James can play as a lone DM and Caicedo as the box to box midfielder.
    I would like Chelsea to sign Rayan Cherki in the summer, we need his type of technical skills set in our attack to break down rigid low blocks. We should sell Mudryk, Noni, Cucurella and Gallagher, we don't need them, we need more technical players.

  • @flord88
    @flord88 Před 26 dny

    We need Osimhen, plain and simple, I like Jackson but he can NOT be our only and main striker, got one of highest rate of missing big chances which you can't have if you're aiming for top 4 and higher, also osimhen will add something different to the team so would be great to have both styles of strikers, a isak style and a haaland style striker, nico can also ply LW and they can play together. But yeah can't go into another season with one striker that's definitely not top teir yet

    The thing with Cole is he always wants the ball, and he wants it in the sort of weird positions like literally with 3 men around him. Who does that? From a coaching point of view I don't think Everton did anything wrong defending that first goal. The closed him down & gave him no space. We are literally 12th in the league for chance creation. He's got 20 goals with 7 games remaining.

  • @lilboybluenotes7042

    We aren’t better without Enzo, but Poch and his “system” are implemented easier without him. However, it was Everton, not the most attacking of teams.
    Moving forward, we need a midfield that imposes more control of the game defensively and offensively. And that will require Enzo and a better manager.

    Valverde is a better player technically and that’s the truth. We are not understating Gallaghers usefulness. However it will be more accurate to say Gallagher is a Valverde type player. He needs to sort out certain things about his game to be compared to Valverde. On the striker situation we need to sign a different profile of a striker. May not be a high profile signing but one is needed.

    • @BlueLionsTVNiiNiiFC

      Valverde is, for sure, but, that doesnt deny that each share similarities in terms of their swiss army knife roles for their teams to function, thats the point to the comparison. Valverde only has 2 goals this season for madrid, if he was allowed to fully attack, he'd have more, as we saw glimpses of last season
      but, his importance is for the balance of madrid, whihc is the same as gallagher for us

    Nini, you said it before and I agreed with you. We don’t need a high profile striker. We just need a smart replacement for Borja like either zerkzee or tel(or if we want some experience Ivan toney). Or we can risk not buying a striker and go for a high profile attacker like musiala or nico Williams and let Jackson, nkunku and Palmer(false 9) occupy that striking position. Oshimen will disrupt the chemistry that Jackson, Palmer and some of our players are developing. We just need that quality left winger or quality striking backup. I rather we make more smart investments like that than drop a lot on oshimen or gyokeres.

    I honestly think that Palmer is looking like a big game/clutch player... the composure he showed taking that penalty right after that argument with Madueke and Jackson is just crazy to me. So with that being said, although Foden and Saka still have a bit more experience at the top level, I would rather start Palmer in big games for England than either of them because of his emotional maturity. We already seen Foden and Saka ghost in big games before but Palmer so far has always looked impressive. So I would rather play Palmer as a 10 against the likes of France or Germany and play Foden against the weaker sides like Sweden and Denmark lol

  • @tatakosani2531

    Actually it's not about Enzo playing making us poor
    It's when Gallagher is playing in the 10. Gallagher doesn't have the vision or technical skill to play there and that's why we look way worse attacking wise. But when Gallagher is in the pivot he's ok to good. I do however think Enzo has poor positioning unlike Gallagher because when Gallagher plays caicedo partakes in the attack and pushing the ball up way more. So idk yet if Enzo is a problem or not cause internationally He's great but at chels... Yeah
