Don't ask loaded questions Diana. And that baby is so cute.

Dragging a tiny child hither & yon, for no other reason than to make yourself look like the best mum in creation? Browbeating an employee, with humiliating remarks on how you're not surprised he has no children? Adding to the expense of the tour, with back-up child care? Endangering the succession by having both the first & second in line on the same airplanes? Wonderful. I'm so impressed. 👎🏻

Diana was actually kinda insufferable in fiction as in real life, but she's mythologised because of the moronic court of public opinion.

Because leaving your children in the care of strangers for much of the year worked out so well for Elizabeth's kids, didn't it?

Oooof! Unpopular opinion and you'll get lots of angry replies but yes I agree with you. It's duty, end of.

I'm not sure how it was done then but William and George have been on the same airplane many times and I believe this will be the case until George is 12 years old. Also, as I remember the Queen is the one who allowed it.
And either way, the prince would've always needed childcare no matter if he was on the trip or stayed at home. Maybe it was a bit pricier with travel expenses but that's about it.
And for his development it was probably a better choice to be with his mother.
Of course humiliating an employee is definitely not the way to go about it but it's also fictionalised so who knows what was actually said.

I disagree. Diana was being selfish. William would have been left in capable hands at home. There was a risk of death.
